Just bought the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited Altitude 4x4 - Metalic Sangria LOVE IT!!! Ceramic top coated and sealed using Ethos Ceramic Wax and Car Guys Hybrid Wax. The wife took it to work this morning. Guess I'll be driving the 2005 Jeep Liberty today. We also have a 2002 Jeep Liberty. We are a Jeep family!
If you think it is neat how you change the temperature by sliding the numbers on the screen try the VR button on the steering wheel and just tell it what temperature to set the cabin at, hands free is even cooler.
Hey I have a 2017 Jeep grand Cherokee altitude the back of the car says 4 x 4 I’m assuming it’s 4 x 4 when it’s snowy out automatically because there’s no button for The 4 x 4 I would appreciate it if you could help me with this and let me know the features because my car still slides like it’s not even on 4 x 4
Good review. Sport does nothing for suspension in the altitude. If you have a model with air suspension, it will lower it to the aero setting. What it does do, like you said is stiffen the steering on the newer models with electronic steering. It also changes how the transmission shifts by holding gears longer.
Thanks for the video! Can you tell me what package in the Altitude series this is? I know their are some variations using roman numerals depending on what features are included (the IV has variable traction controls knob in center console for example).
Thanks for watching, Todd! This is the 2018 so I'm not familiar with the roman numerals. The High Altitude has the control knob in the center but mine is just the "Altitude" minus the high.
The eco button under the radio is turning it off. so if you press it and the light is on... ECO IS OFF* if there is no light.. ECO is on... if you press sport mode, you'll see eco turns off with itu
I love the look I was just worried about the difference in ride quality from the regular fat tires to those you have with a much smaller sidewall. The roads are so bad by me but I've always had cars that had better(stiffer) handling at the expense of ride quality but I'm starting to get tired of feeling the abuse.
Had the same colorway and all but 2017. Love it but the gas is terrible. Is it true the 2018 altitudes come with navi? My 2017 and all 2017 altitudes came with the screen but no Navi. You have only the option of paying 600$ for the Navi app to add to that screen software
thanks for watching! I believe under the apps section, you can choose offroad settings and you will be able to change the whole screen to different color combinations! its awesome!
Nice Jeep but I don't understand why there is no button for turning on 4x4? Or is it always in 4x4? Sorry if I sound stupid. My first time looking into this type of Jeep.

I've absolutely loved this Jeep. No issues at all. Lots of room, decent gas mileage, handles snow great. I literally can't complain about a single thing in my opinion.
Where was the 4WD knob? I’m looking to buy a 2018 grand Cherokee and some advertise online 4wd and have the knob by the cup holder and some say 4wd but don’t have them. Is there another spot in certain trims?
Hey man, for the "Altitude' which is what I have... there is no knob for 4WD. The 'high altitude' has the knob where you can switch between snow and sand etc.
Basically the Limited and up trims off have that level two 4x4. The Altitude is based off the Laredo platform and has a level 1 4x4 so no knob and no custom settings. Just a general auto 4x4 system so.. if ur a serious off roader then look for a Limited and up that has the level two 4x4 setup maybe an Outlander or like he said High Altitude
I like them but I always wonder how all these open roof designs will age since I usually own the cars as long as I can. I always loved T-Tops, once I didn't even know I had a leak until I found a snow mountain in the rear passenger seat.

Nice Review. I am thinking about replacing my Forester with this model. How's your experience driving in snow? (You said it was CT where you filmed this video?)
I just got the 19 in the same color. The dealer was trying to charge a extra 5,000 for the one with upgraded sound. I decided to get the one without it and add in my own amp & sub which is $800 installed.
ThePyroMark The dealer I purchased mine from would of been about $500 but they sold it the day before I got there. They had one in silver but I really wanted white. I went to another dealer to see about a dealer trade for the one I wanted and they were trying to charge me $5,000 more. I probably could have waited for the right one to come in at the dealer I bought from but I was in a hurry to get out of my Toyota Highlander. The bad part is the dealer who tried to charge me a extra $5,000 I have purchased 6 cars from in the past and sent many customers to. I only had my highlander for 5 months and was able to get out of it for $1 more a month with lifetime unlimited bumper to bumper warranty, Powertrain and gap insurance.
