- I love thrift shopping, but I also LOVE thrift-flipping second-hand clothing into customized garments just for me! :) It's budget-friendly, eco-conscious, AND a great way to flex one's creative muscles! :) In today's project, we will upcycle a dress and an oversized t-shirt from the thrift store. While the dress turned out to be a relatively easy fix, I decided to completely refashion the t-shirt! (I love t-shirt dresses, so I turned the shirt into a dress using some extra fabric and a lil' sewing mojo!) Both dresses have been super comfy and lots of fun to wear! Join me for the DIY adventure and see if you get inspired to upcycle some old clothes into something "new" for you! :)

Thank you so much Thuy, I really really enjoyed watching you transform this man’s boring shirt, into this very very pretty and beautiful top, which is nothing like the old garment, it’s stunning 🤩. I absolutely love ❤❤❤❤ it. Please stay safe and well too xxxx Mags ❤❤❤
Yay! :) That's one of my favorite projects too!! Safety, wellness, and happy spring to you too! :)
Both upcycles are super cute.
:) Thaaaaaaanks!!
Cute dress, but I need those boots In my life! Love!
:) Awesome! I think the boots are from Born...
I like someone else, just discovered you. Thank you for the inspiration! Love what you did 😊
You are so welcome! :) Glad you enjoyed it!!
Red dress print pattern looks like pasta shape to me ~
Oooh pasta!! I see it! And that's perfect with the red! :)
Okra works but the design made me think of wagon wheel pasta and lasagna noodles. I like red buttons so much better, the wooden ones are ok, but the red is cool much better. I think just removing the elastic and not replacing it would work too. It's a pretty dress.
Ooh yes! :) It's a pasta dress!!
Both dresses are very cool with a bunch of thumbs up!
So glad you like them!! :) Me too!
Your dress redo is adorable. The buttons are definitely better.
Oh thank you! :) Red buttons for the win!
I just discovered you. I am so inspired! Going to enjoy catching up on your other videos.

I see Honeycomb cereal, and cake slices

Red buttons are much nicer! Cute dress! And the green ruffle is super!
Thank you! 🤗I think so too!
Very nicely done 😎 your video was fun and you have inspired me to do the same. Thank you.
Ooh wow, I'm so glad!! :) Thanks for letting me know, and have fun with your projects!
You inspire me to try
Hurray! :) Go for it, and have fun!!
I wasn’t sure about changing the buttons but you were right the red ones look sooooo much better
I’m not a fan of ruffles but the dress looked good on you
Thanks! :) Glad you enjoyed it!
You may want to press the waistseam ( set the seam) before you finish the dress. Add green fabric to skirt near hem. Didnot get to the end yet.
Ooh, good call!! :) Thanks for the tips!
