  • I love thrift shopping, but I also LOVE thrift-flipping second-hand clothing into customized garments just for me! :) It's budget-friendly, eco-conscious, AND a great way to flex one's creative muscles! :) In today's project, we will upcycle a dress and an oversized t-shirt from the thrift store. While the dress turned out to be a relatively easy fix, I decided to completely refashion the t-shirt! (I love t-shirt dresses, so I turned the shirt into a dress using some extra fabric and a lil' sewing mojo!) Both dresses have been super comfy and lots of fun to wear! Join me for the DIY adventure and see if you get inspired to upcycle some old clothes into something "new" for you! :)

Thank you so much Thuy, I really really enjoyed watching you transform this man’s boring shirt, into this very very pretty and beautiful top, which is nothing like the old garment, it’s stunning 🤩. I absolutely love ❤❤❤❤ it. Please stay safe and well too xxxx Mags ❤❤❤

Red dress print pattern looks like pasta shape to me ~

Okra works but the design made me think of wagon wheel pasta and lasagna noodles. I like red buttons so much better, the wooden ones are ok, but the red is cool much better. I think just removing the elastic and not replacing it would work too. It's a pretty dress.

Your dress redo is adorable. The buttons are definitely better.

You may want to press the waistseam ( set the seam) before you finish the dress. Add green fabric to skirt near hem. Didnot get to the end yet.
