Bought it worth every penny love it
Saw the Steelbook at Walmart today, but it was $38.99. The audio commentary is from the Old *MGM Midnight Movies* DVD from 2001, and so are all the other extra features which explains why they are all in Fullscreen. I can't believe Shot factor didn't bother to create any new extra features at all for such a major fan favorite film. All they gave us was a colorful 4k scan and a whole bunch of slipcovers.
Mine should ship to me tomorrow. Can't wait to see the upgraded transfer it's a colorful film.
I purchased it this morning from Amazon, and it is still available as of this moment. I don't have it in any version, so i jumped on the 4K steelbook immediately. Good luck 👍
I also pre-ordered it from DiabolikDVD this morning, hopefully it's more available than previously thought.
The steel book is nice
I would call this a sympathetic restoration. Because they left the 80s fuzzy film look and brightened the clowns they pop 100% its great

I haven’t bought a steelbook yet but even tho they are still in stock for preorder I’m gonna wait a bit longer before I do. Maybe it will go down to $30
OK I own the Blu Ray and it was so bad. People literally put it on sale for $5 a copy.
Anybody know if these’ll be in stores at Walmart? Wondering if I should just be safe and preorder the steel so it won’t be out of stock on release, or wait until the release and check my Walmart and risk it being OOS online. I know sometimes SF movies are at Walmart like Halloween was at mine last year, and Army of Darkness is in the new steelbook section in some stores.
When in doubt with SteelBooks, I would pre-order. I didn’t know Walmart carried SF stuff, that’s cool.
missed the pre order, as much as i love the film im not paying $130 for it just to get the film and some other stuff idr give a shit about. disappointed as i also missed the arrow video release. hope they restock T_T
Arrow definitely won't be, like someone has said, other places like DiabolikDVD and OrbitDVD have the steelbook up for pre-order still.

DiabolikDVD still has it available for preorder for the $35 range. I think Orbit has put up more a couple times. I basically never buy from Shout itself. I don’t care about the posters or the extra stuff at the prices they charge. Just wanted the steelbook.

The arrow one has more features but the picture is better on the scream factory one. I don’t normally do this but I’ll keep both.
