The Fly box set will always be my personal favorite. As much as I love Cronenberg's remake (It's my fourth favorite of his films), nothing touches the original 1958 classic. That movie means so much to me, and it's easily one of the greatest sci-fi movies ever made.
Funny I saw "It's Alive" at the drive-in too with my mom and brother when I was in the 3rd grade, it had a huge affect on me(In a Good Way) been collecting for years now. Great Vid!!!
I own the Halloween 14 disc ultimate collection, the Friday the 13th complete collection, the Amityville Horror trilogy, the Halloween 1995-2002 4K set, the Fly box set, and the Critters box set from Scream Factory.
Here is my take on that Friday the 13th box set issue: Scream Factory had released the 15 disc Halloween set in 2014. At that time, they had an issue with their Halloween 4 disc where the audio was recorded incorrectly in at least one scene. They had a replacement disc program for that. Now, one would think that they would have learned from their previous experience with the Halloween set and the fact that they replaced so many Halloween 4 discs. Did they learn? Not only did they not learn, but they didn’t double down on their screw ups, they TRIPLED DOWN on their screw ups, because their Friday the 13th set had THREE discs that they wound up having to replace. Now, I’m in that camp that says, “If I’m paying this much for this box set, I am expecting nothing less than perfection.” However, even with that being said, I may have been slightly more forgiving of their screw ups with the Friday box set IF they have not already just gone through the same thing with Halloween. Because as a customer, that shows me that they really do not care about the quality of their product if they not only not learn from the first time, but triple down on their screw ups.
When I bought the F13 box set, I didn't know about the disc errors, but found out while it was shipping so I sent out a message to Scream Factory and got my 3 replacement discs. But then another set came in the mail by default so I have 3 additional copies of replacement discs 😂
I have the Omen, REC, and the Friday the 13th boxsets from Scream in addition to the Creepshow and Nightbreed Limited Edition hard boxes. I also have the same Phantasm box.👍
I love the Halloween 95-02 boxset. Probably cause I'm a 90's kid, and H20 and Curse were the first Halloween's I saw. I think Curse looks amazing on 4k! Especially since they nailed the Halloween atmosphere 👌
Not sure about the special features or not but I like the box set with the replica of the ball. I have that one. I may eventually try to get the other box set but I also have the scream factory of part 2.
As a RABID Amityville fan - I grew up around 20 minutes from the real DeFeo/Lutz house, so the case always fascinated me - I actually missed Scream's Blu-ray set because I was always happy with MGM's Amityville Horror Collection DVD box. At this point, with Vinegar Syndrome's Amityville Horror 4K already out, I'm waiting for someone to do a UHD set.
I love this video. I picked up the House boxset from Arrow today after re-watching your Arrow Collection video. I wish I could get those Scream Factory boxsets easier but they only ship to the US and Canada 😂 Someday I will get them somehow 😂

Ah man, I really wish I could get the Amityville box set but since it's OOP it looks like its hard to get for a good price. The worse part is, is that the original 3 movies haven't been put in a set since and I have no idea why. I'm hoping one day someone makes an amityville box set with at least the first 3 again. I love My Critters and F13 box set though
Great review. I unfortunately was one of the few who received Halloween 4 with slip instead of the hardcase. I ordered it on Amazon just the other week. Grindhouse pulled through when I ordered Halloween 5. It came in the original hardcase. I was in the impression that all the Halloween 4ks would come in the hardcase as well. Regardless of 1st or second print releases.
My favorite box sets are the Halloween 6-8 box set, Halloween 15 disc box set, Halloween 10 disc box set, Children of the Corn 1984 4K UDHD box set and the Friday the 13th box set. I’m hoping I can still get my Hands on Halloween 6-8 box set because I know that it is $89.48 on Amazon
The only box set I have out of that whole video is The Critters one. I love mine. I wouldn't mind getting the Friday the 13th box set. Looking into it!!
My favorite is still Amityville: The Cursed Collection favorite Dollhouse 😂, opening that box has a Tales from the dark-side vibe to it. Nowadays it Psycho Collection best this year. Great content CHH add that Cursed Collection
I got the Phantasm box set with the ball. I love it! And I actually got most of my box sets from Walmart of all places, them being The Omen, The Fly, and the Critters collection. They weren’t even pricey either, about $30 for each I believe? It’s been awhile but I’m happy with them nonetheless. Really hope to one day get more of their box sets. I also can’t wait to get The Ring 4K box set when it comes out, sucks that it got delayed but I’d rather it been a great release than need replacements
Friday the 13th: I wish they released them individually, with the appropriate bonus material compiled on each of the appropriate films , alternative edits and 2-3 discs and with the hard slip covers (ala Halloween 1-5)Ft13th franchise long ago wore out its welcome . Personally I only like the first 4 to 6 films (the original story arc and the Tommy story arc.) when Jason was “human” , the series was at its best . For now I’ve settled for the simpler paramount releases on those early films . To me the box set looks like it was quite thorough but to me really not worth it , as I won’t watch the second half of the film series. I finally picked up the Omen with all the extras …… very happy , and even tho I agree the remake wasn’t great , it’s only one film , so I don’t feel like i was overpaying for too much I won’t watch again.
Scream Factory has gotten so lazy and falling way behind their Boutique Labels competitors especially like Arrow Video and Vinegar Syndrome!!! Oh and Scream Factory/Shout has some of the Worst Customer Service I’ve ever dealt With! They Absolutely do not care About their Customers Concerns at least in my Experience with them!
When it comes to Clive Barkers Nightbreed the Directors cut is the only way to go. Because its the movie that he wrote an directed an they made. On the bonus features an before it starts Clive Barker talks about how he was sitting there. Watching as the movie studio interfered an Butcher and mutilated his movie right in front of him. It was an is supposed to be a love story at its core its supposed to be about. How the Nightbreed are just people that want to live in peace they are not the monsters. The normal humans are the monsters that just want to kill an destroy. Anything that is different from them thats the real story plot of the Nightbreed movie. The movie studio interfered an mutilated that story as Clive Barker says. Turning his story into something that was the complete opposite of the movie he wrote an directed. The Nightbreed where never ment to be shown as monsters. But the movie studio made changes to make them look like the monsters of the movie. Because the movie studio wanted a slasher movie that had the monsters looking an acting like monsters. Not normal people that just want to live in peace. Then when it comes to The Omen movies. The 4th one was not needed I honestly thought it was a reboot because. It acts like a reboot until like the last 10 minutes of the movie. So I will not be rewatching the 4th movie or the remake ever again.
