@bbb safh it seems like demons can turn their demonic forms on and off at will. When Charlie turned all demony for a second, she seems to have done it on purpose, for effect during her song. Alastor can clearly do it at will also. Katie Killjoy only transforms when she's pissed off, but I assume she can do it whenever she wants, regardless of mood. It's just a thing demons can do - but maybe the more powerful a demon is, the more control they have over it.
Yep. That's one of the reasons I think that, if it's possible for anyone in Hell to reach Heaven, it would be Charlie.

Highly doubt they will (make it a kids show) considering the studio that picked it up is A24, the studio that produced Midsommar, Uncut Gems, The Lighthouse, Hereditary, Moonlight, Lady Bird, Ex Machina, etc.
They have a pretty heavy lean towards making R rated movies and movies that are more gritty and crass than other studios.

Agreed. It's part of this shows charm. Tbh, they couldn't nearly go as indepth if they watered this down to a kid's show. Angel's backstory would be one example of things they wouldn't be able to do. I love this show the way it is.

14:00 The reason why Charlie is so optimistic is because her father is Lucifer. Which makes more sense when you remember that he's an angel that fell from grace because he went against the status quo. Charlie is a half-angel, and she's doing the exact same thing, except she's going against the status quo of hell.

it's more complicated than that. Lucifer was punished and transformed into a demon, and Charlie is also Lilith's daughter, who was punished by God through her children for what is totally a soulless demon. I do not think that his way of being can be attributed to what he is, but to his decisions, which is more remarkable. I mean, it's clear in the first few minutes of the show that angels are genocidal monsters too, so their goodness definitely doesn't come from there.

I think it depends on what you consider canonical in regards to Lucifer and Lillith and what interpretation Vivzie and crew have on it.
Though I suppose you're right in that good is not necessarily nice, but there seems to be a noticeable difference between the angels we see in the pilot (which were mentioned to be somewhat mechanical) and Lucifer.
Charlie takes after her dad more than he’d like to admit. She’s a rebel, doing her own thing when everybody else is happy with the status quo . Her rebellion however is embracing the angelic side of her nature
@@cristophernunez7786 Vivzie's made it clear outside of the pilot that the Exterminators, the Angels responsible for purging, are wearing masks, so the smiles and enthusiasm may not be genuine. In fact, for all we know, they could just be doing a grim duty, which is why they never talk, because it humanizes their victims and may make their resolve to carry out the Purge waver. They may even shed tears for the souls they're destroying in remorse and it may not be a popular job in Heaven. Other angels we see in Helluva Boss, specifically C.H.E.R.U.B., are depicted as being overtly kind-natured and friendly, even towards imps, much like Charlie. At least, they seem that way, as of writing this I've only seen them in preview.

Hey! Since I haven't seen anyone talking about this, Hazbin Hotel has actually been picked up for a TV series by A24! They are the studio that produced Moonlight, Midsommar, Hereditary, Lady Bird, The Lighthouse, Uncut Gems, Swiss Army Man, The Killing of a Sacred Deer, The Lobster, etc.
So this show will be made into a full TV series and it won't have to be cleaned up!

Not everyone. I've seen nearly a hundred different reactions and there are a couple here and there that gripe about it. Some even say they can't understand what he's saying sometimes. Of course they probably weren't actually listening enough, lol.

a little backstory on Alastor(The Radio Demon) and why he is the way he is: Alastor was born to a satanic family in the backwaters of Lousiana, whom practiced voodoo and hoodoo, along with participating in human and animal sacrificing and cannibalism (yes, Alastor is a cannibal). he learned his craft from them growing up, however, when the radio became a thing he fell in love with it and wanted to pursue a life as a talk show host. however, his family disagreed and forbid this. so, Alastor slaughtered his own family. free of them, he set out to do what he wanted, becoming a radio talk show host, which he acquired very quickly due to his charming demeanor. many murders later, he was out performing a ritual in woods for a sacrifice, his get up for it is what ultimately lead to his demise as a hunter mistook him for a deer and shot him. he died the year of 1933 to a gunshot. this is why he appears to have a deer like appearance, namely his hooves, horns(which become more apparent when he is angry) and his ears. now, down in hell, due to his strong ritualistic performances and deep knowledge and practice in both voodoo and hoodoo, he landed in hell with INCREDIBLE strength already. he caught many of the overlords off guard with his massive strength and complete lack of mercy, killing and stealing their power, making himself that much more powerful. to point out, if you pay attention, many of his abilities are coupled with symbols from actual voodoo/hoodoo practices, along with the shadows he summons appearing like that of voodoo dolls, stitched up and covered in pins. come to present day of the vid, Alastor has long established himself as a serious threat and danger to many that even the stronger of overlords both fear and respect. now, for some personality quirks: Alastor believes that smiling is a kind of act of dominance, thus why he is always smiling and keeps telling Vaggie she should smile. he views those that dont smile as beneath him, inferior and worthless. his voice is something manifested by his own power, to resemble that of a radio talk show host since it's what he loved to do back when he was alive, however, this doesn't end up giving away his true intentions as when he is being honest, the radio static fades away. basically, if you can hear his real voice, he's telling the truth, which make his threats that much more terrifying. finally, Alastor is asexual in that he doesn't give a shit about anyone's gender nor does he care for sex at all, and thus why he immediately declines Angel's offer to a blowjob. he only cares for himself and his own entertainment, if anyone is stupid enough to cause problems for either, they will be killed, maliciously. anywho, hope this sheds some light on The Radio Demon, Alastor! my personal favorite of all the characters in Hazbin Hotel!
edit: something else I forgot to mention, its presumed the hunter whom shot him also had a hound and that it attacked him before he was shot, thus leading to Alastor having a fear of dogs/hounds. this might also just be due to his deer-like appearance and somehow giving him a kind of weakness? either way, Alastor hates dogs.

And to add on information i found from TheLoadingCrew, he is a Overlord of Hell, and apparently has a moral code: he doesn't chase fleeing victims, and would never harm a child; continuing to say he would actually care for one if it's abandoned until it had a mind of its own. So there's some extra information for ya.

I think Alastor keeps pushing Vaggie away because he is trying to separate Charlie and her. He throws the fire up into the air to distract Charlie before pushing Vaggie away and mocks her constantly but subtly. I think that's going to be a major point of tension in the story.
I think he is trying to get Vaggie, Who is the voice of reason away from her so when she is desperate or on time of need, Charlie will take his deal

I think it may just be him messing with her because of how much Vaggie dislikes him, and actually threatened him when he stepped in. Now she's stuck with him, and he won't miss an occasion to piss her off for his own entertainment
Vaggie is shown to be a realistic (bordering on pessimistic) voice to balance out Charlie's optimism and Alastor definitely recognizes that Charlie will be easier to manipulate if she's isolated.
By the way, there is a comic where you see how Angel became a resident of the Happy Hotel. Plus there's a audio recording of it.

Depending on how they want to take the shows mythology Charlie might look different because she's not really a demon at all but a Nephalim. Nephalim in mythology were children of angels and mortals, and technically her father lucifer is a fallen angel and not actually a demon
in all cases she IS different from Vaggie, Angel and Alastor already because she is a hellborn demon, while the rest of the cast i mentioned are humans that died. The exact ramifications of it are unknown except that apparently hellborn demons tend to be more powerful and most overlords are hellborn (hence why Vaggie says Alastor's power was never seen FROM A MORTAL SOUL before, hinting that some hellborn demons are just as powerful than Alastor if not more)

It took them 4 years to make the pilot, the idea exists since 2015 but they oficially started to produce it in 2016 and the first storybord directed to the public was realesed in 2017, the trailer came out in february of 2018 and various clips of the pilot throught out the year, in 2019 the pilot was fineshed

@@NowaboMusic Well, just like an actual microphone, the consistency can change depending on how loud you are and the tones you use. the times he was speaking softly or with a different tone would obviously be picked up differently than when hes speaking loudly

Plus there's probably at least a few otherwise good people down there that just so happened to screw up that badly toward the end of their lives and were/are resigned to their fates before the Hotel was announced, and Charlie could have met at least a few of them over the years (with Vaggie being a likely example).

It’s been picked up by A24, who produce good stuff. Not sure which streaming service they’re going to sell it to yet, but it’ll be either Hulu, Netflix or HBO Max.

Angel is my FAVORITE character in this his playing with the window is cuz he died in 1947 he hadn't seen the tech so he's amused by it. if you really like Angel u should watch the ADDICT music video it tells more about him just have some tissues ready cuz Angel's story is pretty sad and really tugs at the heartstrings

Alastor is from the the late 20s died in the 1930s he is a talk show host thats why he talks like that and hes from Louisiana so he is creole french, he has tremedous power because according to his profile his mother did voodoo common practice in Louisiana back in those days and probably from something else too. He hates dogs, likes cooking, total Mamas boy and he hates being touched but has no respect for peoples boundaries. He also has a moral code of his own He does not kill woman, children, or anyone that is completely weak, ( without a logical good reason) Also fun fact it says that his microphone is apart of him

There was an end credits scene where Sir Pentious climbed out of the hole, so he is alive despite us seeing his body explode into pieces. That would explain why there is a yearly purging of souls, the dead can’t be killed. And I assume the ones that destroy the souls are the demonically angelic creatures at the beginning of the episode.
This is by far the best reaction video to Hazbin Hotel I’ve seen, and I’ve watched a lot of them. I love that he loves Angel Dust because he’s my favorite character too. Love that he likes Charlie’s mission too. Love it!
If nick or Cartoon Network got this show they would instantly ruin everything that makes it special.

14:05 if I had to guess, probably because given how Murphy's Law is a thing, there's likely to be at least a few good people down there who made a particularly bad mistake toward the end of their lives, and she probably met enough of them in her developing years to have an inpact on that.
Although given that Charlie calls her hotel "the first of its kind", this would mean that those from the above hypothesis were largely (if not entirely) resigned to their fate the moment they landed there. Personally, I think that might be what landed Vaggie there, hence why she's the only other character that's taking the hotel seriously from the get-go.
There is a level of Animation present here that wouldn't be remotely possible under the normal budgets of Nickelodeon or Cartoon Network and the tight grasp on intellectually property that can often screw with Animators.
Although it certainly working for the funds and is trying some source to pick up them. For Story that it is trying to protray, it would need it's 'Adult' Cartoon qualities. It actually really good example of Adult Cartoon that differentiates from normal. I' look forward as it continues to work towards it. Even has livestream 'pod-cast' thing that follows one of clean-up artist along with several VAs.
