    the peace of God
    This was a useful sermon and teaching, and I especially appreciated the last part. "but now made manifest, and by the prophetic Scriptures made known to all nations," It was so well supported by the various scriptures that brought out a fine balance in this, and shows the totality of the progressive revelation. Thank you.

    Excellent teaching on Romans 16:25 - 26. I have actually had this brought up to me before. Next time I will be better prepared to explain it. Thanks!

    Absolutely agree Brother David that makes absolute sense. When you got to Romans 1:1 gospel of God is part of the prophecy program, it’s that Jesus is ‘the Christ.’ But when we move to vs 16 the ‘gospel of Christ’ aka ‘mystery of Christ’ aka ‘my gospel’ is the one new man. So Romans 1:1 to 17 seems to be an overview of Gods revelation to Paul.

    Absolutely amazing teaching! You really opened my eyes to Paul’s method of teaching in synagogues by using OT initially and then incorporating the mystery.

    Amen! Thank you for this video David, you could have taken the easy route but didn’t. There are some grace preaches that teach option (a).
    One way I look at it is ‘the scriptures of the prophets’ most likely wouldn’t be talking about the prophets during the disp. Grace, because otherwise scripture would be saying that we are stablished by;
    1. My Gospel (the one revealed to Paul)
    2. The rev. Of the mysteries (Romans- Philemon)
    3. Scriptures of the prophets (again Rom- Phil)
    It makes a lot more sense if ‘scriptures of the prophets’ meant the Old Testament writings, that way we require to know and understand all of Gods word in order to be stablished and grounded in God’s word.

    I have looked at it like this. the Gospel of God is the news of Jesus from Genesis through Malachi , the Gospel of the kingdom, the 4 gospels and the first part of Acts, and Hebrews-Revelation and the third one ,the Gospel of Christ according to the mystery, Acts 9 - Philemon., helps me anyway... without the Gospel of God you do not get kingdom or body of Christ...

    When Paul says the third day according to the scriptures, does he mean that just His raising was in the Scriptures or that rising on the "third day" was also in the Scriptures? The only thing I can think of is when Jesus said they would only receive the sign of Jonah, that as he was in the belly of the whale 3 days, He would be in the heart of the earth 3 days. Is there an OT reference other than Jonah?

      @Columbus Bible Church I see the point, but I thought there might be a clearer reference to "the third day".
      Thank you again, though. I've always appreciated your willingness to put up with my questions.

    In Ephesians 6, Paul mentions "the evil day". To what is he referring? He says "the" so it seems to me it should be a specific day, but I don't know what it could be.

    First - I always find it interesting when dispensational teachers use scriptures OUTSIDE of Pauline epistles to establish their doctrines, as is done in the video (@ 6:15), which used Matt.26:56, Mk14:53-65,Lk.22:66-71, and John 18:12-24.
    Paul wrote only 23% of the "New Testament". The WHOLE TRUTH of salvation requires 100% of God's Word. ALL of the NT is TO you!
    - - -
    No doubt that Romans 1:2 and 16:26 speak of the OT prophets, and the Scriptures they wrote. A chiastic diagram will clearly display Paul's context as that of the OT prophets.
    The important point today will be to notice that the OT prophets created the "mystery" by what they wrote... and now, after further revelation by the HS, by reading again what the OT prophets wrote, we understand what they were saying!
    The OT prophets created the "mystery" by revealing only pieces of God's wisdom in their writings. By the revealing of His FULL wisdom in the NT, the pieces now revealed by the Holy Spirit, together with what the OT prophets wrote... the "mystery" is solved.
    All of these things were revealed to all of the Lord's apostles and some NT prophets - by revelation - from the Holy Spirit.
    Ephesians 3:4 whereby, when ye read, ye can perceive my understanding in the MYSTERY of Christ;
    5 which in other generations was not made known unto the sons of men, as it hath now been revealed unto HIS holy APOSTLES and prophets by the Spirit;
    6 to wit, that the Gentiles are fellow-heirs, and fellow-members of the body, and fellow-partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel...
    Peter explains that although the OT prophets did not understand what was coming to be called the "mystery", the OT prophets ministered to those now being saved by the GOSPEL, THROUGH Gospel preachers - such as Peter, and as Paul - see Romans 16:25-26.
    1 Peter 1:9 ...receiving the end of your FAITH, even the salvation of your souls.
    10 Concerning which salvation THE PROPHETS sought and searched diligently, who prophesied of the GRACE that should come unto you:
    11 searching what time or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did point unto, when it testified beforehand the SUFFERINGS of Christ, and the glories that should follow them.
    12 To whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but UNTO YOU, did they MINSTER these things, which now have been announced unto you THROUGH THEM that preached the GOSPEL unto you by the Holy Spirit sent forth from heaven; which things angels desire to look into.
    Paul understood that God promised the Gospel for all nations - to bring about faithful obedience !!
    Romans 1:1 - Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the GOSPEL of God,
    2 which he PROMISED afore THROUGH HIS PROPHETS in the holy scriptures,
    3 concerning his Son, who was born of the seed of David according to the flesh,
    4 who was declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead; even Jesus Christ our Lord,
    5 through whom WE received grace and apostleship, unto obedience of faith among ALL the NATIONS, for his name's sake...

      Justification for today is found in Paul’s epistles only. And the entire New Testament (although FOR us) is not written TO us.
      There are things written specifically to the Jews for the purpose of Daniel’s 70th week which is still to come and which we (the body of Christ) will not take part in.

      Your response shows that you have good understanding of the Bible, but, you need to also be aware that people who teach Dispensationalism NEVER disregard the Old Testament or the 4 Gospels; do not assume if you hear someone say...."Dispensationalist disregard the Old Testament...etc..etc.." that it is true. The whole Bible must be studied...Line upon line, precept upon precept...here a little, there a little...(paraphrase of Isaiah 28:10) and true 'Dispensationalism' always uses the entire Word of God.

      @@ChathuraImbulagoda - Paul's epistles are a PART of the one whole Gospel. Don't allow the teachings of MAN make you "divide" away 75% of what the HS inspired for you - and all nations!

      @@bluevireo425 - Dispensationalism USES what they chose to use - as in the video! When convenient, they will say for example, that MML&J is "for" you, but when MML&J are needed to establish a point required, the will use any non-Pauline writing to establish teaching!
      There is only ONE Lord - ONE Cross - and He gave us only ONE Gospel!

      @@michaelgill1301 Dispensationalism is biblical and Apostle Paul teaches it. Apostle Paul also teaches us to rightly divide the word of truth.
      You also have some problems with Apostle Paul and Apostle James who say contradictory things. Apostle Paul says, NOT OF WORKS. But Apostle James say BY WORKS.
      Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: NOT OF WORKS, lest any man should boast.
      James 2:24 Ye see then how that BY WORKS a man is justified, and not by faith only.
