- I was let down that the Knights of Ren were such nothingburgers in TRoS, so I started a little project to get fans to voice them for fan-edits. I auditioned a handful of people, workshopped dialogue ideas with them, and then did the sound design to transform the voices. Not perfect by any means, but it was a fun experiment both from a storytelling standpoint and as a sound engineer.

The "May our bond never again be shattered" line tells us so much about the Knights. First of all, it establishes that Kylo actually does have a bond with theses guys, heck, maybe he even trained them after they left Luke. Secondly, they operate like knights, with a code of honor (hence why they're so adamant about killing Ben when he breaks that bond later in the film.) They're not sith, they're their own thing.
I love the "oh, that's not fair" line at the end. Suddenly the shrug Ben does isn't so weird and awkward anymore. I think the Knights of Ren are yet another example of missed opportunity and potential for the sequel trilogy. It's like all the pieces were there, but they never got put together right.
That line makes much more sense as to why Ben shrugs

What surprises me the most is just how… simple this is. Like, it would have been so easy for them to do this and they just couldn’t be bothered

The Knigths of ren were the best part of the movie , thanks the Voice edit , they deserve more screen time than Rey

This is 100% way better than it needs to be I hate that Disney didn’t do this originally. It literally gives more character to blank pages
I could imagine them sounding simular or almost identical to Deathtroopers. Proof for that could be that atleast one of them build their mask woth parts of a deathtrooper helmet.

This is fantastic. This is the kind of personality/depth these guys needed in these movies. Brilliant work!
I love the voice you gave Ushar. It pays homage to the old battlefront 2’s republic announcer/commander.

@@t_hetty1758 Sad for Star Wars, they should’ve presented the knights more thoroughly.
Ushar is the one with a bandolier of detonators and a red-handle machete sheathed in the middle. His face is also dented in, a minor detail which ties into his background.

I actually wouldn't mind this as a legit edit of Rise of Skywalker. Like a director's cut or something.
This concept was made to help with a big fan-edit effort. We also added comm chatter to the fleet that shows up at the end, it feels so much more alive hearing voices from each of those ships.

What a waste
I get wanting to give the knights more to do but these lines just feel so pointless.
Knights of Ren were pretty cringe. They were described as Sith equiv of Jedi knights... But turned out to be Padawan drop outs that don't even know how to wield a lightsaber... So one has to question how are they "knights" of Ren when they are wielding pitchforks, maces, and machetes? Fucking garbage lol.
Lame movies.
