Love the uniqueness of the Airking. I wanted a simple Rolex, like the Explorer or the OP. I never considered the AK until I saw it in person. No regrets, so far. Great video.
Loved the video and appreciated your analysis, especially since I already had an IWC Mark (XV) but with a black dial. Still felt for the originality of the Air King and glad I got the call from my AD about 2 months ago. I absolutely ❤ it.
I like the Air king dial... except for when I want to read the time when the plethora of numerals overwhelms the space. The IWC does tick All the boxes which is very rare ... it's narrower case, a legible if somewhat dated dial, an utterly brilliant bracelet with a much more attractive facility for extension and the 120 PR. Whoa! I need to try them both on as they might be pushing the size envelop for my smaller wrist. I have a two tone explorer 36mm and I do think that the Rolex Clasp while secure is oversized and the little flippy locking widget sharp and somewhat pointless. Ultimately it will be an on the wrist decision....the overhanging lugs of the IWC, the extendable bracelet, the bevelled links and push button changeability (not to forget the 120 PR) might be the clincher.
Both are my favourite watches, I tried the air king simple style but very adaptable. But I hate is being on the waitlist. IWC dial is amazing, the closest was I got to a IWC is fortis b42 , only this I dislike on the IWC is lack of lume , as this is a pilot watch, it should glow more in dark
The waitlist for an airking is 1 - 3 months having just purchased 1 previous purchase of anything from the AD lol, it also trades pretty close to retail so if you like it buy it there is no excuse
The only thing Rolex has going for it is its name. The dials are unimaginative and sometimes ugly take away. The resale Rolex holds onto with both hands and feet. It would be forgotten as Steinhart.
Rolex' best model in current production and an easy winner 🎉
😂
Disagree. The IWC is a stunner.

Relatable!
Im leaning mark xx. Happy this video was done. I considered both.
Interesting comparison - thanks for sharing. The IWC Pilot Mark XX is far more aesthetically pleasing, especially with the iridescent green dial.
Nothing wrong with the Rolex but if anyone else made it, you wouldn’t be talking about it. The IWC is class though.
True that
I prefer the Mark XX, the dial and bracelet are super cool
The Mark XX sunburst green dial smokes the airking dial.
Mark XX for the win, tried and tested watch maker🙌

Excellent video. On the point and totally objective.
I like both watches.
Thank you and godspeed.
@@jkotsovolos Thank you!
Great comparison! I like the Air King
I totally concur 👍🏻
Mark XX by far. Hands down

Own them both (white dial Mark XX) love them both for many of the reasons you outlined.
hi, love your videos on the IWC. Can you do a video on the various straps you use for your green Mark XX??
@@therascals8237 I can certainly do that. I'll work on it after some other videos I have in the making.
@@welcomewrist oh that would be great, thanks! I am debating if I should get the blue or green.
@@therascals8237 both dial options are great. At first I was considering the blue, but I went with the green once I saw it in person.
Air King is brilliant. Looks great and affordable price for a Rolex.
Air king Rolex is the king the way the watch looks it’s incredible
It’s a close one for sure but one thing I find jarring with the Mk XX is the size of the crown, it just looks wrong.
@@Anonymouslyme1 too big, or too small?
@ too big IMO, out of proportion.
IWC MK XX sure win
Both are my favourite watches, I tried the air king simple style but very adaptable.

@hammalamiri12 I had add my name twice at our local AD and they recommended me to buy another brand, which I felt unfair from their end
IWC all day. They dominate in the pilot watch arena.
The MK XX has an identify crisis though because the original watch was a field watch not a pilot’s watch, IWC flipped it in the 2010’s.
Iwc hands down better price, better bracelet, longer power reserve. The only issue with Mark XX is not cosc certified
Airking has the better Brandname; Mark XX is the better watch
How is it better??
The Rolex watch is superior overall but the IWC has a great bracelet
If only the XX is 39mm for a more symmetrical, aligned date window. Thanks for the vid, man.
Mark XX is way ahead

Tak Vy asi moc hodinkám a strojkům nerozumíte. I tací se bohužel diskusí účastní.
The poor mans Rolex compared to the IWC. Utterly disrespect!😂
If you are going to look at in those terms then the Mk XX is the poor man’s IWC. Pathetic comment.
The IWC seems to be a more legit pilot watch to me. The airking always felt like a wanna-be to me. It's just a renamed explorer 1
This IWC was always a field watch not a pilot’s watch, they flipped it in the 2010’s. So the Mk XX is not an authentic pilots watch at all.
Air King is just ugly
Iwc looks and feels like a 150$ Laco,I just don’t get it!
Ignorance is bliss
