I think it's entirely valid to have 4* counterparts of 5* characters even if they're released close together. Not everyone can or wants to pull for all 5*s and having an accessible substitute that performs a similar role is helpful for free to play or low spenders.
And honestly it helps when the 4 star in my opinion has the better design I love hanyas design I thought she was going to be a 5 star and was disappointed when she wasn't still she's so fun for me

well i would like to make new comment over commenting to existing one but its gonna get less see because i think this is important as the guy that have e5 hanya and e6 of her in incoming sparkle banner. What makes her bad in my opinion is just the burden doesnt count as debuff, if its counted as debuff lets be real she gonna be my to go to for the incoming archeron or heck i can run her with dr. ratio. I also hope that at e6 makes burden can be casted to 2 unit over 1 unit, because e6 really doesnt give any higher utility to her extra 10% is almost nothing when its better to give team more sp and make hanya get to the top faster. for now with her like this she gonna disappear among the sea of butterflies when sparkle come in.
This would make sense if 4-stars were actually accessible, but the acquisition methods are exactly the same as 5-star characters. I'm still using the same currency to invest into the same limited banners, the only difference is instead of getting bonus 4-star characters I'm now worrying about getting 5-stars that I don't want and ruining my potential to get future 5-star characters.
The Argenti/Ruan Mei banners specifically were particularly brutal, if I didn't want Argenti but I did want one of the supports why would I invest into getting Hanya which has zero guarantees and still takes an average of almost 40 pulls of investing into a 5-star banner and risk getting the unit I don't want when I could just hold onto those pulls and get the superior version with full pity guarantees?
Hanya's downfall was that she came out in a patch where people overlooked the 5 stars
Plenty of people who didn't have Fu rolled on huohuo, everyone knew the debuff removal was powerful, just kinda overkill with Fu. The problem was Argenti. Erudition was still viewed skeptically at the time, plus supports have way broader value than another DPS. Add to that the majority of the player base is male and only about 5% of the general population is not hetero, Ruan Mei was simply more fuckable. Way more. He's just some pretty dude with a death wish, this girl is gonna become an Aeon.

Huohuo was popular. I mean, aoe healer with atk buffs and (small amount of) energy while also scaling on HP including her basic attack. Pretty useful. Plus she's wind. If they put Hanya on that banner then it would have done better and more people would have her but instead she was put on a banner that mostly husbando collectors went for and not even a whole lot of them.
Hanya on her own just wasn't tempting enough so yeah would have been better off with Huohuo.
@@DKOIsoulI think pairing her with Argenti was a better move since Argent is kinda skill point hungry as he wants to use his skill in order to get stacks of his crit rate buffs and charge his max ult fast and the main selling point of Hanya was that she could manage that and plus she was the same element as Argenti as well so that helped her and even if she was on Huo Huo’s banner it probably wouldn’t have helped her as she probably would’ve been seen as another 4 star on the way to the 5 star.

Hanya is one of my most used support for DHIL along with Tingyun and HuoHuo... But with Sparkle coming in.. idk
Sparkles gonna beat hanya but we know Ruan mei beats all harmony supports atm.

That's the thing tho. Hanya is a 4*. So she can be one more banners more often. Meaning getting her higher than c0 is very likely.
Though they really should have given a copy out for finishing the spook perma-event. Maybe they will in future and those that finished will just go and collect her. They have slowly added a wider range of free chars. So they can build and give decent odds that all players can do most of the content without massive issues.
Meaning most if not all players would have her and could use her WAY before they might see ruan mei or sparkle pop up on a banner. Which is always the major limiting factor for the 5*'s. You have to either whale out fast or save up over several banners to have decent odds of just getting the char. Let alone the C's.
THAT should always be the view of the 4* 'lesser' chars. They are near infinitely more accessible than the 5* variants. Meaning you can get near to better output from them as they are C maxed instead of maybe getting C1 at most, for non whales.

People are forgetting some people only play their favorite characters. She is good for any sp negative team comp. If some one is running seele and DHIL as their two dps, then having sparkle and Tanya could be useful.
Don't forget the absolute gutting that her kit got throughout the beta. She was Tingyun level in the first couple weeks then was nerfed and nerfed again.

Hanya is one of those units thats unnecessary for whales/meta chasers but extremely useful for the average player. Not many actually got her and you cant say she is bad, so nobody really talks about her. One of her best teams for me is Hanya, Argenti and Bronya. Her speed boost lets my slower Argenti go right before Bronya, and she provides enough sp for both Bronya and Argenti to spam skill every turn. Her ult being single target is actually one of her greatest strengths, letting you skip farming extra relics and saving you from spending an hour on the equip screen trying to get the speed tuning right without sacrificing too many required stats,
she should've been one of the free characters since she is basically a 4 star sparkle that can work on sp hungry teams but doesn't have sparkle
Hanya is underrated, I think. ATK and Speed and SP regen are all very valuable, and that’s all wrapped up in a 4 star that can only get better with Eidolons. I don’t think she’ll die just because of Sparkle’s release and I think your affinity for a mono quantum team with her shows quite a bit. Not everyone’s gonna pull for Sparkle and Hanya will be there for those who don’t
I actually chose to skip Sparkle and save for Acheron because I got lucky getting early a Ruan Mei Lightcone and decided to give it to Hanya. She works even better with high skill consumption teams providing a skill point and buffs every time she ults (with that light cone) and the bleed damage from a 150+ break effect Hanya is nothing to scoff at.
I agree I think in most cases the speed buff is gonna be stronger than Asta's (and will especially help characters reach Glamoth breakpoints), but she can also buff Physical characters such as Clara or Argenti even further by using Planetary Rendezvous and Penacony planar set
His opinions are severely biased. I don't trust a thing or two he says and I stopped watching his content after Argenti's release.

Harmony is the best path and all characters are usable. But Hanya’s single target speed and attack buffs, including a skill that DOESN’T COUNT AS A DEBUFF, make her a hard choice in hypercarry (where you use Tingyun+[Bronya/Yukong]) or dual-DPS (where you use Asta or RM). If Burden counted as a debuff, I think she would’ve been a perfect FuA buffer with T&N + Ratio.
True, I was actually disappointed when I learned that it wasn't a debuff 😢. Literally its name is synonymous to "debuff" but it's not a debuff 😂

@@niconilo97 it’s a matter of syntax more than anything. Hanya’s talent (Burden) increases damage “dealt” making it a buff as it actively applies to allies. This is different from Guinaifen’s talent (Firekiss) that increases damage “received” making it a debuff as it actively applies to enemies. I have yet to see a case in HSR where this syntax doesn’t match.
Hanya + Yukong is the goated DHIL team atm tho

@@danielcarrilho5217 Fair, but TY is very good for giving IL his ultimate more quickly too. And if that second team is a dual dps team, you’d like have Ruan Mei (or Asta) covering support there. In the world of Harmony, you’ll find use in different team comps, provided you fit the mold. Hanya’s problem is that, after almost a year, any other Harmony could take a place on a team, not because they can do what she does, but because what they can do is more impactful.
Mono-element - Asta, Yukong, Sparkle
Dual dps - Ruan Mei, Asta
Hypercarry - Tingyun, Bronya, Hanya, Sparkle, Yukong
i believe her skill point recovery not being triggered by follow ups caused her to get off of spotlight fast (also burden not counting as debuff).
Burden not being a debuff is horrible. I was so sure i could use her for ratio topaz even though she didn't buff follow-ups, but the team doesn't have enough debuffs :(

well i mean at the end of the day, this is a gacha game, every new units will somehow have more use than the previous units in order for the company to make money, therefore spending currencies to the new "better" units. natasha slowly got weaker when luocha came, and became niche when lynx was introduced

Hanya (and by extension her sister Xueyi) has my favorite character background of anyone in this game.
Spoiler Warning for Hanya's backstory (although it can easily be found if you've already pulled her and you look at her character info)
I read so much of her in-game lore that discussed her trauma and depression and how it's only when she's afforded time to spend with her sister Xueyi, whose death Hanya feels somewhat responsible for (not sure if that's explicitly stated, but it's at least implied), that she feels like life is worth living. Her backstory is so tragic, but she has just the smallest bit of hope through spending time with Xueyi that makes me want to cheer her on! I want so badly to build her because I love her character so much, but I after getting and building Ruan Mei who fits in just about every team, it's difficult to find a place for Hanya to fit in practically speaking. She deserves so much better, both in terms of gameplay and in her story
Gonna be real, I use Hanya and Sparkle on the same team and they work great together. I love using her!

Ruan Mei ate up 2/4 Harmony slots. Before RM I would try to run one Jingliu team with Bronya/Pela, and a second with Tingyun and room for Hanya/Asta/Yukong, depending on the elements.
After a Ruan Mei my second team needed no other support unit and I would generally look for a subDPS instead. And then I pulled Kafka and Black Swan and there's certainly no room for her now.
With ice weakness phasing out of MoC I'll be turning to Dr. Ratio to cover one side. But he's going to want Pela or Guinaifen for debuffs, and then Bronya will be the top choice for harmony. No room for Hanya again.
and even worse now that hanabi is about to debut because hanabi will be an upgrade over bronya when it comes to ratio who does some of his follow up attacks outside of his own turn after his ult. if bronya is gonna get benched, hanya as well as yukong and asta can just forget about it

Maybe I'm wrong but it feels like Hanya and Sparkle both generate the same amount of sp, the only difference is when said sp is available.
Hanya generates 2 SP every rotation, making her a +1 sp unit every turn.
Hanabi spams skill every turn and she gets ult after 3 turns of spamming skill. Upon ulting she generates 4 sp, making her +1 sp over the course of three rotations.
What makes Sparkle special though is that she can actually use her basic attack to generate the same amount of energy as like using her skill. This allows here to be even more sp positive if that's what your team needs.
Hanya's kit can only generate 1 sp. Meanwhile Sparkle has the option to generate more without losing out on her ult.
Hanya does have an advantage though when it comes to her fellow 4 stars, and that's her teamwide damage % buff. All of the 4 stars doesn't have a damage % buff with a permanent uptime unlike Hanya's.
Tingyun gives 60%+ damage buff for 2 turns, being able to ult every 3 turns = 1 turn downtime, also single target only
Yukong has 18% imaginary damage buff w/ permanent uptime and is teamwide but small
Asta buffs attack and speed only
So she does have that edge. But yeah, she definitely did suffer
Though her suffering probably is because of how bad she got nerfed pre-release. (Pre-nerf Hanya is actually capable of generating more SP than base Sparkle. Sparkle wins though if she can 2 turn ult with HH. And her buffs were more potent too but they toned it down for some reason, probably because of RM and Sparkle's release. This is why Gacha smack had a video talking about how OP she was, and when she got nerfed so hard Gacha smack released the Hanya is over valued video xd)
You forgot about Sparkle’s technique. She generates 3 skill points at the start of battle.

Maybe it's just me, but i like playing inbibitor with ruan mei, hanya and loucha/ fu xuan. They both give him immense booste and hanya solve the skill point issue while also giving him more speed. So infight im around 200 speed on him with the buffs and i can spamm his 3 charges non stop without to worry about skill points. She is nieche yes, but she fill that so well if u need her.

To be honest, thank you for this video because it made me realize I need to build her at this point. I pull for characters I like and couldn't care less about the 5 star if I don't like them. I don't have Ruan Mei nor Sparkle so saying she'll be obsolete is far of a stretch (I am not a fan of quantum teams). You pointed out things I can't think about because I'm having a hard time understanding the mechanics of hsr(regardless of being a genshin player) . Thanks btw albeit the reverse effect 👍

Hanya is still a beast even with the release of sparkle. Her playstyle isn't really the fact on generating sp (skill points) its just an added mechanic that is amazing on her. She is a harmony character that is meant to be sp positive and being able to spam skills and ulti without needing to worry about sp. Her with lightcones like cogs and an ER setup can perma boost speed and attacks boost of a character that uses ATK% boots instead of SPD. Why not bring bronya or sparkle to replace her? because, not everyone has the luck of a god and also she is an easy E6 to get and her eidolons just helps and improve her potential into a buffer/debuffer which not many harmony characters have this trait. Her skill able to apply burden on enemies and increases the dmg the enemy receives but the down side is that it only works for normal attacks and skill and not follow up attacks. Due to having lack of physical dps her full potential is currently, not being able to shine. Clara would've been a good dps option if only her debuff can proc off follow up atcks which it doesn't.. and argenti.. well u know hes only good in farming n pure fiction rn. Overall, she will be replaced by other characters but shes still a very viable character to build especially with E6 on certain situations. If I were to rate her, she'd be in at least an A- tier on E6 for harmony characters, she does a lot for the team with minimal build requirements other than needing as much speed as possible.
I originally built Hanya as a second Harmony to carry Sushang alongside Ruan Mei kind of on a whim. Giving her Planetary LC and a Penacony ornament set for the physical boost and I have to say for a joke build it actually plays out surprisingly decently. The SP generation isn't very needed because Sushang is fairly economical but Hanya can keep her ult buff up near constantly on her carry if you time it well and she does a not-inconsiderate amount of physical toughness damage herself since, unlike most Harmony units, her skill is still an attack. While not optimal I am curious how she'll do with Boothill when he's out since in a lot of ways he fits the same niche as Sushang in that comp with a better kit.
Her atk buff isn't completely useful on Boothill but her speed buff is great for him
I think most people don't even have a single copy of her. And people has a copy of her already E2 to E6 other 4 stars harmony so not intersted in using her. Also, people may not even build her after knowing 5 stars harmony are coming out in 1.6 and 2.0.
I think more people will use her if they have her at e6, I got her at e0 and I use her when I need RM in my other team for DHIL. She came at a bad time and most of the people that want her didn’t continue to pull since they don’t want the 5 star she’s with so I think the majority have her at e0. Maybe once she’s in a few more banner and people have her at higher eidolon they’ll use her more. It’s the same with Asta and Pela in the beginning, people are saying without e6 you can’t use them and hold back on building them, some even said the same thing for TY.
Hanya + Tingyun both wearing DDD creates a fun battery for a hyper carry because they can both just spam skill endlessly without going negative. This creates an interesting feedback loop with, in my example, Clara that has actually proven more than capable of brute forcing 3* clears of moc 12s on non phys weak enemies. Obviously this is dependent on clara targeting, and enemy choice as it isnt always applicable but the energy battery this creates essentially puts Clara in ult 100% of the time for every single enemy turn, with a slight damage per counter loss, sure, but when the modifier is available about 50% more than it normally is it can be very potent.
There's already speculation of her working with sparkle + Danlu, I've started building her a few days ago just in case she pops off with sparkle
It's truly brutal that Burden doesn't count as a debuff for Ratio or Acheron.

the best team for Hanya will be a no sustain DHIL or QQ hyper carry with Sparkle and Bronya, you will be able to use their fully maxed basic attacks several times per cycle because of Sparkle’s and Bronya’s action advance, which if you used Tingyun or Ruan Mei instead of Hanya, wouldn’t be possible, since Sparkle alone wouldn’t be able to supply that high amount of skill points needed to pull it of consistently.
Sparkle and Bronya don't trigger burden with their skill/ultimate so I doubt that will work smoothly in practice.
Same reason why Yukong and Luocha are great with Hanya.
I use her. Tbh mostly in one team being argenti, hanya (lc that boosts same type elemental dmg+that one ornament set makes argenti so good with her) tingyun and fu Xuan. She is really necessary here because I try to use benediction as much as possible so I can get as many full stack ults of argenti as possible.
I don't have Ruan Mei, neither Sparkle, and i really, really like Hanya, so i invested as much as i could in her (she has bronya lc and 183 speed)

managed to get her from the regular banner. her kit is pretty cool to use
consiedring how you need like a billion teams in hsr i dont think having a 4* counterpart of a 5* is that bad. for example: i have sparkle in my QQ team but hanya is going to be awesome in my dr ratio team that also needs a lot of skill points.
also not everyone is going to pull for every 5* and not everyone is a day one player so hanya still holds up.
They nerfed her too much. In final beta
And yes numbers does actually matters because a support's sole purpose is make the DPS do big PP dmg

100% a good thing to have serviceable 4* alternatives to limited 5* characters even if she's not a BiS option for most/any teams. There are plenty of players (both old and new) who will have missed or skipped RM & Sparkle and haven't gotten a Bronya yet. Even assuming you have Tingyun, Hanya just works better in some teams than Asta, so she's a solid choice in a lot of cases. She could definitely be stronger but it's not like she doesn't have a use case.
I mean if you didnt pull for ruan mei and youre not planning to for sparkle, she does fill an easier f2p niche.
I love Hanya, and really tried to use her a lot (still do if theres physical weakness because I don't have any built phys DPS), but I fear she will simply evaporate into mist the next time we get a tragic sibling physical harmony...
i pulled and built her cause i have dhil, but tbh i didn't feel like she was impactul enough dmg wise, and she made the speed tuning more annoying

I've used Pela before but she's a dmg loss in DHIL teams compared to Hanya or E6 Yukong
Obligatory "i still use hanya comment" i didn't pull for sparkle, but i use Hanya in DOT comps! I buff Kafka with her and there's a very noticeable difference.
Its power creep, it has always been power creep. I dont know how HSR players can't see the writing on the wall, even when its 10ft tall and wide, writen in blood and with spotlights and neon signs pointing on it.
Every new character is so incredibly stronger than previous characters that its just laughable. We thought Bronya was a good Harmony, then Sparkle comes up and is 10x better than her, we thought Gepard was a good tank, then Fu Xuan comes up and is 10x better than him, we thought Luocha was a good healer, then Huohuo comes up and she's 10x better than him. Who's next, I wonder? We all be singing praises for Ruan Mei now, but wait a few more weeks and she will be a thing of the past.
Investing in characters on a game like this feels so pointless... Its like their viability is on a timer.
There is indeed powercreep (specially fro, 4-stars to 5-stars and from standard 5-stars to limited 5-stars) but is not at the scale your expressing here.
Luocha's never needs to use his skill when he is well built giving him a +1 skill point every turn, is pretty much inmune to Crowd control, and can remove buffs from all enemies. All unique features that Huo Huo doesn't have and Sparkle is more like a different, more easy to use Bronya, rather than a better Bronya.
I host mini community PVP tournaments in my server and she gets alot of actions there. Other than that outside of the tournaments itself we barely talk about her except as backup support if the others were banned or taken especially when it comes to supporting skill point heavy DPS units. It's a bit sad seeing her in this state but at least she has a niche in our little community
Since I don't have Bronya, haven't built Asta and Yukong yet and I'm skipping Sparkle, Hanya sees a lot of action on my acc and will continue to do so at least until a broken male 5* Harmony releases (not counting new TB). Hanya is a staple for my Argenti and DHIL teams, doesn't overlap with Ruan Mei at all, and Tingyun gets left out way more often that Hanya does.

I think, the only things that she offers are 30% dmg boost on Burden enemy … her ult give around 40 speed (if you manage 200 speed on her!!!!) and 60% atk boost. Asta simply do much more and for your whole team, with no requirement, super cheap (you only need to level her talent, ult and you are good to go), plus if you have e6 Asta and fighting enemies with fire weakness, she won’t need to skill, ever.
As for her ‘Sp providing’ … it’s all an illusion. Hanya gives 2 Sp with the cost of 1. This makes her not sp +2 but +1. Basically the same as other basic attack supports, 2 best 4 stars are Tingyun who generates energy, and Pela who shreds Def with ult and Luka’s LC.
Idk what happened, my e6 hanya still goes along argenti with no issues whatsoever
What I like about her is that she can provide skill points out of turn. So I can hold FX’s or SW’s ult, & then if QQ doesn’t have hers & runs out of SP without enhancing her attack, I can get another one & try again. I am getting Sparkle, though, so we’ll see.

Totally agree, Hanya unfortunately will not have any role, if you get Sparkle. They nerfed Hanya way too hard, she does not even really generate more SP than a wind set basic attacking Pela.
for lore reason, i'll keep using my E2 Hanya with my E0 xueyi throughout the game (if possible, i'll use them till i can't fight MoC anymore and have to switch team). i just like them so much

They actualy fit well together, Hanya SP gen also lets you put Bronya on the team easily.
Since I got her, she is always with my Dan Heng IL 😅 They are good together and I have no plan to pull Sparkle cuz I hate her behavior.

Funny thing is I don't play hsr but occasionally get tiktoks and yt videos about it and before last week I thought "huh, so much noise around this npc (hanya)" then I saw her game play and thought "oh, they are finally releasing her as a playable character" and now I know that she exists in game for like 3 months plus?💀💀💀
Hanya is fine. She's never a first pick but for running DHIL and another DPS, she boosts attack and is a battery for skill points.
I pulled Huohuo and got E4 Hanya on the way. She's a niche bonus unit but she has her uses.

Hanya got debuffed before the launch of 1.5. She apparently had much more sp yield in beta.
As someone who doesn’t have ruan Mei, I still use hanya in my argenti team as she works especially well for other physical units. I do want sparkle, but I don’t think I’ll replace hanya there. Idk. Harmony power creep seems more troublesome then dps power creep. Especially for f2p and low spender players. Ultimately, not everyone has every character and thus I think she will continue to be used by many people.
Plus, I don’t think I’ll replace hanya as I like to play with a variety of characters, and using the same ones over and over and only changing the damage dealer when I have other ones seems like a waste idk.
I got the SW rerun and got my Argenti who I love so much, and the e4 hanya I got works so well with him. She's really speedy (180spd i think) and that way he runs atk boots, she has penacony planar set and the asta lightcone and they're just a really great team
I'll probably try for sparkle but she has her own niche and is good, she's just not absolutely broken
It was just cause houhou was wanted by everyone esp if you didn’t have fu or luocha and argenti revived the erudition path.
note that Hanya generates more skill points than Sparkle does.
over 3 turns:
Hanya uses 3 points and generates 6, assuming your characters are hitting things (your characters should be hitting things regardless)
Sparkle, with an ER rope (she should be using an er rope), is using 3 points and generating 4.
Sparkle has a MUCH higher buff value, but Hanya isn't "strictly worse"

Hanya has a few strong points going for her. What i would give people as advice is, no matter how SMALL a quirk or advantage, if they have it over others its relevant.
Low gear req - she only needs speed. Unlike many, if not all, other supports, she doesn't require certain substats to function. This alleviates a lot of gear req and minding the eventual speed tuning requirements her build is one of the most flexible
Repeating buff - she shares this niche with the likes of yukong, bronya, and yes, sparkle. However. Any and all options will be greatly appreciated whenever we run into frequent buff cleansing mechanics, which no one should write off imo. For f2p, yukong is present but if you need a more sp efficient option you'd use who? Hanya! Especially if you were bringing dot users
Push forward - the girl can give herself action forward and speed to herself and speed to an ally. In terms of action economy, she's up there with budget options like tingyun. To ulti and turn more frequently outside of premiums like sparkle or standard pull like bronya. The eventuality of bronya is present at 300 standard summons is there. But there's flexibility in possessing her.
Burden is deceiving - it's not a dot. But you wanna know what it is? An aoe damage amp! It's a buff, so it applies to all enemies even if you hit just one. This makes her great for potential new erudition characters as a budget option. While like tingyun, she isn't sp hungry. She again has the advantage of speed for the carry, unlike tingyun. A while bronya supplies her broken 100% turn agency, she lacks some compatibility with follow-up and dot characters herself.
These are all loose hypotheticals and very soft bonuses to her, but she has them is the point. She is easy to build, is a budget turn agency unit like asta but with the caveat of scaling up more dmg types than just those that scale with atk. There are potential situations and units that have yet come to pass. Jing yuan, himeko, and even herta. When will we learn the idea of meta is incredibly short-sighted, not factoring the POTENTIAL synergies, situations, and units we get with time? That is all.
i love hanya! but i don’t ever plan on pulling sparkle, so my bias is pretty evident.
I’ve been running her lately with geppie freeze option and bosses never get a turn while I have near infinite SP

I finished the current moc using Hanya (for the first time), now that she is e4 (I play since hsr release) and the team Dan heng, Tingyun and Hanya together was really fun
I planned to use Dan Heng exactly because I want to diversify my teams and didn't use DHIL in a long time cause hyper carry don't really appeal to me, but hsr current state allow us to use different kind of teams
Sparkle is a character I didn't have any interest cause I don't feel I need her, I already have a good enough version of her (Hanya). The same works for Robin, no interest cause I don't feel this helps me to build a variety of teams, but only teams that works around her and I don't like that. Basically I'm not a fan of the Harmony path because is the opposite of specialty

very good content. I build her last 1.6 for my DHIL and now skipping sparkle for 2.1 characters.
All you can do to make Hanya great would be that her skill doesn't cost any energy. Thanks to that you can be +2 energy positive and changing the target of her skill any time you feel like needing.
I still use her sometimes considering that I also have Argenti which helps my SP management because Argenti uses so much to get his value for AoE. That said, I am gonna say it’s gonna be a little sad when I eventually stop using her as soon Sparkle comes out before her SP management far surpasses the capabilities of Hanya.
I also believe that Hanya is kinda limited to certain comps because some benefit from SP management from her (with some exceptions where there are situations where you can end up with excess) but others would get too much excess, losing more value than it is gained, which is often better running another character that helps the support role better than Hanya instead.
If I use both Hanya and Asta in the same team, does that count as a hypercarry? Or does it have to be Tingyun+Bronya to be hypercarry?
@@josephoyek6574Hypercarry means you're relying on 1 DPS and getting as high of a ceiling as possible on them. It doesn't necessarily mean you're not buffing the rest of the team, but more that you're stacking buffs while then expecting all of your damage from one guy.
All those 4 stars for new player. When they first time playing like 1 week. Because their access for 5 stars that only who available at limited banner at the moment and standar banner.
For me, her problem is that her Spd boosts to a single dps is kinda useless, since I use both sparkle and bronya

I cleared MoC 12 with my E0 S1 Daniel and E2 Hanya with level 9 Relics. So no, you don't specifically need Sparkle.

She's an S tier waifu in my book but the other harmony units, excluding Yukong, just feel like better choices almost all the time.
Well, considering the best dps she could be partnered with is IL, E6 Yukong are still considered better thanks for her huge boost to imaginary dps.

Hanya is fine. She really didn't fall off as there wasn't anything to fall off from. You pretty much ended the video by saying, "Even with SP hungry characters, we really dont need SP gen teams"
As a whale who has everyone but argenti, because i didn't need him, i can definitely tell you when i come to the harmony, it's all different flavors. But as we saw with peelas rise to success is that a character is only as good as the person using them.
Hanyas kit on paper sounded amazing, but like you said, to strategically not take sparkles spotlight that hanya was not as crazy as everyone seemed. And it kinda makes sense if you look at how the characters synergize with each other. At least for now, there isn't a single character that truly shines (even blade and JL, seeing as under the right circumstances they can get themselves killed), they are meant to already fit together with what we already have or to be the foundation of a new playstle coming down the line.
And i much prefer that over the typical gacha game trend of riding one meta for a month, then completely just making the previous meta basically obsolete.

The think is after i pulled for hanya them immediately i saw a leak of sparkle/hanabi that has skillpoint giver so i didn't build her and long waiting for sparkle for my danheng IL
Wait I use Hanya all the time and she’s one of my best built supports. But ya that’s just me she is one of my faves (have been waiting for her since the game dropped) and I don’t intend to ever get Sparkle.

I use her with most of my hypercarry teams tbh. She has max speed basically with rm, and i tend to use her with Argenti or Ratio. I dont think its bad to have a 4* whos “lesser” than a 5* cause like.. theyre a 4*. Not everyone can get Sparkle and not everyone wants her (im more on the team of wanting her but cant/pointless on my teams). I think she’s still good, even though she wouldnt be as relevant anymore. Hell, i use her over tingyun sometimes bcs shes so much easier to use for me
the best way i see her situation is by analogizing the harmony characters with genshin's anemo characters.
hanya is like sayu or lynette. if you want an anemo healer, xianyun > jean > sayu; likewise, if you want an SP supplier, hanabi > ruan mei > hanya. even if you only have access to the 4* options, tingyun > hanya, like how sucrose > heizou/lynette, cuz tingyun and sucrose are both that omega OP for 4* standards. this means that while hanya is still good just because her path/element is good at a baseline, for most people the opportunity cost of using her over other harmonies is simply too high. likewise with weaker anemos like sayu and lynette, while they are still fine for most teams because 4pc viridescent set is so strong, that doesn't make them better than other anemos who can do more beyond hold 4pc vv
note she is very good with argenti who is also phys and who is SP hungry cuz he wants to skill every single turn nonstop. once again, a good analogy imo is faruzan being very good with xiao, who needs anemo res shredder because anemo cannot swirl itself to reduce enemy anemo res, and faruzan can also battery xiao on top of that. for other SP hungry dps's like DHIL she is also an okayge substitute for hanabi if you aren't going for her, but it'll be less good than the best version of the team.
all this means that some may see her as more like a faruzan than a lynette, but others will see her like a lynette that you always bench because you have kazuha/venti/sucrose/xianyun/jean. so for me who started just 1 month ago and narrowly missed ruan mei and is going for e0s1-e2s1 hanabi (depends on how lucky i get), hanya isn't likely to be of help to my present or future teams since for dps i plan to get jingliu and not argenti. she's still a cool character though and she deserves to see xueyi come back to life 😔

In my opinion she is still pretty good and I build her and I’m happy with her kit and gameplay I can’t wait to pair her with sparkle for as much skill points as I can get
