I'd argue that march was always a bit of a niche character, i still won't say she's "Bad", but you need specific teams to mke the most out of her kit. Don't fret March enjoyers, your time will come, when she gets stabbed and gets a 5* version.

Blade wanted enemies to hit him, so March would make sense as a teammate, but Blade hates shields since if he gets hit while he has a shield the hit won’t count and his passive won’t gain a stack to use his follow-up, also just like Clara Lynx now exists. Arlan and Yanqing both rely on shields since Arlan deals more damage the lower health he has and Yanqing would lose his passive effect if he got attacked, and although March could give a shield the taunt that March gave made this risky, because there was a chance that the shield wound break and Arlan would get one shot or Yanqing would lose his passive (And probably also die because he’s squishy). So far March’s only viable purposes are DoT teams, Elation path and mono preservation with the Preservation path in Simulated Universe, since the follow-up attack she makes after a character with her shield was attacked is very useful, since it would allow her to deal massive amounts of quake damage. There’s also the Remembrance path but like I said before, some of the enemies are freeze resistant like Cocolia for example. Not saying you shouldn’t use her or that she’s useless, but rather she has her issues that hold her back from being insane.
I honestly really wish that March just had a bit more Synergy with other units as she's just soo good! I think if her element was different, it'll actually be quite better lmao. She's honestly a GREAT ice breaker, and can honestly be paired with Misha, and Sparkle due to how SP centric those units are (It's very niche but also very fun!). There's just currently not a unit that truly benefits from having enemies frozen, imagine a new unit gets released like an Erudition unit that benefits from enemies being frozen then this'll result in March getting much more usage (hopefully!)@@samkelly5045

I ve been seeing dreams recently of her new animations and somewhat unfinished model. She seems to be using some sort of energy and manipulate it. However she doesnt have the effects yet, just the model movements

March 7th is still an anchor character for high difficulty SU content with remembrance path. Her and Misha are the only characters that have aoe freeze in their kit, which makes runs more reliable.
I still use her to this day because I don't have any other preservation characters and she has been doing wonders for me, especially with taunting enemies away from my more fragile characters
The problem with preservation vs Abundance is that preservation has only 2 good characters and only 1 4 star Gepi's ult can be really good, but outside of his ult he doesn't have any ways of protecting his allies. Fu and Lance Mc are probably the best options, with Fu having amazing kit with full team buff and heal and Mc taunt. Shielding simply isnt as good as healing. Meanwhile, pretty much all abundance characters are amazing. Besides Natasha, every healer is amazing and will do the job of keeping party alive better than most preservation characters

Freeze is on skill, meaning you already have to use skill for chance of freeze, and skill doesn't freeze A Single enemy, you pretty much wasted skill point. If you used your skill and freeze only one enemy from the group, the rest of your team is still getting eaten, and with shielder, you have no way of regenerating HP or proper shielding like M7 All while sombody like Natasha on skill can heal, and if you upgrade it, she can take off debuff. Someone like Lynx can heal entire party, give higher chance of being attacked on her skill that also heals, and if you upgrade her ult, she can remove debuffs from the entire team. And those are just 4 stars. If his skill was 3 enemy hit witch chance of freezing 3 enemies than yeah i can see how it will be super useful

At e0, you only need get close to 100% EHR as you can, even 90% EHR is ok, it is pretty much guaranteed unless enemy have Freeze RES. At e1, even better you only need 65% EHR. The Taunt is very high. Did you know that March's skill makes you guaranteed to get targeted 17/20 times. Gepard's Taunt is just as strong. If you have his Signature LC on top of that, you are pretty much guaranteed to be targeted every time. Idk how you have the rest of your team getting eaten. Gepard's Shield is very high, he can solo sustain just fine. I've run Gepard every game now, I only have Geppy and Lynx too but Gepard is more consistent than Lynx. Also, Gepard doesn't even need to freeze the small mobs. In fact, he wants all the small moves not frozen because they will give him energy by hitting him. These are enough to give him back his ult. He just needs to Freeze the boss to slow down the damage and buy time for his next Ult. Giving Gepard 3 Freezes would just make him no longer SP positive. This would make him neutral because he will need to Skill more to build Energy. In fact, if the enemy can't even burst team, you can just basic every time. Even if Gepard takes some damage, his Defense is very high and he even have revive. He can afford to take damage himself to feed team more SP because of how often he will get hit by all the mobs. He mostly only skill when mobs have a skill that makes them not attack on their turn. Why do you need to get healed back with Gepard? You have Shields, these are HP. It doesn't matter if you are 25% HP of 5% HP, his Shield will tank all damage until his next Ult. If your shields are getting broken through, your Gepard needs better gears. You only really need 3k defense, 134 spd, ERR rope and EHR Body on him. Any more defense above 3k is a nice bonus. But he will sustain just fine. My units can sit below 25% HP for 6 turns and they'd still be fine. You don't need heals. His only weakness really is CC. But if you can Freeze the mob with CC, he can slow down the CC so he is out of CC again when next ult is up. He doesn't even need to use basic or skills. The small mobs will build his Energy. Lynx is good against dispel but she's situational in high MOC so I'm actually trying to get a different defensive support because she's just not keeping the team alive good enough.
March core play style come from her talent that shield and do followup attack which is fun. At least there are no unit that can do aoe shield and followup damage anytime soon right? right??!! Maybe she not good with her mechanic but should be useful as SP positive and use Ult to freeze. Noone can be more SP positive with multi hit freeze right? right??!! She is the one that not best in any aspect of the gameplay , feel bad for her tho.

I feel like March is a great defensive option for early-game, but a terrible option for late-game... but that's kind of the point. I don't think she was really *supposed* to be used for very long. Unless your only sustains are March and Natasha and you need double sustain for some harder content, March is nearly useless due to other options existing
I still use March and she's been pretty good to me, but that is mainly because I don't have any of the limited sustain units. Sadly I don't think she'll get much use on accounts with Fu Xuan, Huohuo, or Luocha.
Yep. Hell, even Lynx outclasses her. Same Clara synergy, except it's even more specific so you aren't screwing with taunt values if you shield a support, actually heals, has group cleanse, damage scales off of their main stat, etc. She's just not really good enough to justify using, especially when splash damage is just common enough that her single-target shields are a massive pain point.
Funny how when sustaining is out of the window, march has the best synergy with dot teams while FMC is potentially the almost best for Acheron. Sooner or later their kits will probably adopted by newer characters with better sustain, like Aventurine
This is not surprising since she's a free day one unit. At least she still has a niche for rememberance cheese. I also like to use her with Topaz for extra Numby advance.

I feel like this whole video severely undertalked March 7th's synergy with Yanqing. For ages Traiblazer Fire, Yanqing, March 7th and Silver Wolf were my main secondary team for MoC and they were super fun to play with and plan how to freeze the boss in the best way (aka after his first attack, but before his second). March 7th's healing on e6 was a lot of fun as well, because it actually works great towards keeping people alive. But it is true that at the end of a day March 7th is as far away from meta as possible, currently best for story and Simulated Universe.
It looks good on paper but someone did the math, March’s high taunt value just from being a tank only means she gives Clara like a 12% increase in aggro. Lynx does better without the higher taunt value.

I have fond memories of using march, she wasn't much but she made a good case for herself, despite only granting one shield per turn you could manage to sustain a team successfully, not too hard on story content, this also wasn't absolutely necessary as early game in its first months needed two sustains to be passable, y'know back before moc was supposed to be beatable. I remember finding her pretty busted for granting aoe frezze on demand, for a good amount of time i paired Gepard with march and it was fun, it was viable enough too
having freeze delay march team ngl is pretty amazing. i still use her on moc or other end game stuff. my build doesnt concentrate on def, but break eff and effect hit rate and having Er rope really help freeze uptime. speed is also need to be on certain niche for freeze, march on 151speed feel comfortable to me
how did I not know about the Dot freeze synergy March is like my second most built character next to Fu Xuan (who is fully built) and I have a very well built Dot team with Kafka why am I dum
THE #1 reason for using march 7th is against enemies with particulary strong charge attacks: voidranger:trampler's entanglement arrow, and stormbringer's windfall storm before you get Fire TB which basically makes her 99% useless. The 1% that saves her is her technique and ult, albeit the freeze chance not being 100%. Basically, Strong starting off, but quickly and massively power creeped by free Fire TB her talent paired with fire tb is also fun to watch
At least March got the Herta treatment in G&G and SD, literally one of the most broken bc of Rememberance as she's mandatory for the Rememberance run to go well in higher difficulties.
I still use March in the canon teams for playing the story. Nicely leveled up and everything. Probably a good thing since she's might be getting Trailblazer treatment.
March's design is top Tier. The colours from stellar jade putting into a character just looks gorgeous. If we ignore the fact she got censured - which is never a good thing - she is really cool.
Im 5 days in on my account, TB41. I’m in penecony and i was keeping up with all the adventure/continuance/companion missions. I only have 3 adventure and 1 continuance mission. Early game i was using ratio/clara/pela/bailu. So now that im mid game, once i slapped march 7th on my team over pela, it was hilarious af. That addition of march shielding clara and increasing the chance of clara being atk’d. Chef’s kiss. But now that we know what adventurine does (shields EVERYONE) i want him lmfao.
March is good for SU and as they expand SU she only keeps getting more cracked because she has an interesting combination of abilities: shield (also taunt increase), freeze, follow-up attack and even some healing with eidolons. Measuring character's worth only by mirror usability when there's 3 "end games" is ridiculous
march is still ny most used character to this day i've been playing since 1.1 i don't have gepard or fu xuan but i still think march is the best girl and i look forward to her getting the dan heng treatment so i can pull for her 5* counterpart and lc i use both versions of dan heng and look forward to using both versions of march idc if she's never bis i could never sleep on this queen
Honestly if you think about it her kit is actually overloaded?She provide shield, taunt increase, cleanse, FuA counter ,aoe freeze also heal at E6 as a sustain compare to 4* sustain like lynx who only bring heals,cleanse and taunt increase but the latter is much more viable than her with simpler kit. Which is weird but her downfall is because her low and weird scaling of atk+def also single target kit that isnt what we need for sustain unit in a team play..what is Hoyo thinking when creating her scaling.
I find she works well with fire MC and Dan heng. I still use her even when I have an abundance unit as her cleanse is also great. I find if I need to turtle out a win she always comes in clutch
I use her mostly with FTP mono ice bc her synergy here is great and the team kinda inherently doesn’t have a sustain Issue but she does I think still like destruction characters just not the current most popular the lil guys tho still like here and hopefully we get more destruction So many freeze res enemies is annoying tho and really limits her usage and our only dps units who benefit explicitly from freeze is Yanging (esp e1) and Herta (also with eidolons) which as a Herta main is why I built her but if she only supports characters nobody likes she’s gonna have no presence.
The thing is unless you have Fu Xuan, there is no good character of Preservation on your account... for most people. I still think that Gepard and March 7th are great. Especially with Jingliu on Mono-Ice. Aint no way someone's keeping you cheeks from getting clapped if its not those 2
I still use March and clear content just fine with her. MOC when needed, SimU, at highest of difficulties and floors. She's fine. I don't want or need Fu Xuan or whoever else.
Maybe with the release of Acheron, March 7th will shine again by wearing Trend of Universal market. Using her skill on herself increasing taunt and by building EHR by freezing enemy on follow up. Easy stacks for acheron . 2 stacks for every March hit

March was benched the moment I got my first 5 star wich was Gepard. And then I got Bailu. At first you do not know how SAD I was for getting Gepard (Cause I really wanted Clara and the coolest most badass Robot ever) and got was pretty pissed... Until I realised how dumb I was because I was basicly immortal. In any content that isnt the final lategame content you can use Bailu and Gepard together. Meaning I spent my time being immortal in all the story and optional fights. It wasnt until Memory of chaos and simulated universe swarm that things got actually dangerous.... Okay I lied Kafka nihility in SU is BROOOKEN. You dont need anyone but a half assed Kafka and the path resonance to shred trough everything in existance. So yeah the only content I cant clear is Memory of Chaos and its only beacuse I cant really be bothered to minmax 8 characters.
And I am still thinking whether to upgrade my March7th to Level 80 and her traces to appropriate levels to finally create an AoE Ice team, with Herta/Jingliu/March/Fu Xuan to farm SU G&G on Remembrance path... Truly speaking, I have been unsuccessful 90% of runs there, on Conundrum lvl 10+ with some dices, even Jingliu/Ruan Mei/Gepard/Fu Xuan team always dies (or cannot kill the 2nd plane boss).
Having more ice characters is better since the blessings can let then all have freeze chance think Herta march pela and if u have them built already Misha or yanqing
my opinion is that i dont get it. most games do that where some efects get banned from the fight. i dont think its that bad since there still gonna be places she can freeze unless they make every moc or pf unfreezeble,
I dont think March freeze is a problem for Clara, Sure it's "delay" the enermy turn, but the same time it make their next turn move faster, as far as I see, this only affect Clara if you use Yukong in her team?
Nah march is still better for freezing. Misha wants to hit frozen enemies more so than freeze them himself. It’s also a bounce attack and not aoe so there’s rng to it

If you wanna freeze more than one enemy March is better because of mishas bounce but if you wanna free just one Misha gives a 95% chance for one target and like 70-80s for two to freeze with his second trace. So it really comes down to the situation.

March doesn’t have that issue seeing that she is just either building ehr or def anyway. scales with Atk 💀
There is one aspect maybe and that’s being the best unit for remembrance path. No one else really comes close to her in that aspect.

I am using FX, M7, Topaz and Ratio for SU Elation runs. Clearing GnG C12 no problem
I feel like March is a great defensive option for early-game, but a terrible option for late-game... but that's kind of the point. I don't think she was really *supposed* to be used for very long. Unless your only sustains are March and Natasha and you need double sustain for some harder content, March is nearly useless due to other options existing
I still use March and she's been pretty good to me, but that is mainly because I don't have any of the limited sustain units. Sadly I don't think she'll get much use on accounts with Fu Xuan, Huohuo, or Luocha.
Yep. Hell, even Lynx outclasses her. Same Clara synergy, except it's even more specific so you aren't screwing with taunt values if you shield a support, actually heals, has group cleanse, damage scales off of their main stat, etc.
She's just not really good enough to justify using, especially when splash damage is just common enough that her single-target shields are a massive pain point.

Funny how when sustaining is out of the window, march has the best synergy with dot teams while FMC is potentially the almost best for Acheron. Sooner or later their kits will probably adopted by newer characters with better sustain, like Aventurine
This is not surprising since she's a free day one unit. At least she still has a niche for rememberance cheese. I also like to use her with Topaz for extra Numby advance.

I got snubbed by fuxuan twice as well as adventurine and still don't have a gepard, so march is my only shielding option.

I feel like this whole video severely undertalked March 7th's synergy with Yanqing. For ages Traiblazer Fire, Yanqing, March 7th and Silver Wolf were my main secondary team for MoC and they were super fun to play with and plan how to freeze the boss in the best way (aka after his first attack, but before his second). March 7th's healing on e6 was a lot of fun as well, because it actually works great towards keeping people alive.
But it is true that at the end of a day March 7th is as far away from meta as possible, currently best for story and Simulated Universe.

It looks good on paper but someone did the math, March’s high taunt value just from being a tank only means she gives Clara like a 12% increase in aggro. Lynx does better without the higher taunt value.
@@xWiZ3 idk in my mind lynx is a blade support and March is better with Clara especially when you run topaz and do a follow up team and the taunt value is already high enough as it is the 12% won't make a super big difference but you are totally right
@@xWiZ3yeah, it's completely situational, e.g., march isn't optimal for a clara run with destruction path, but if i need lynx for whatever reason on the other side of MoC, then at least i'll always have march. she's best girl
March will probably see new live if Hoyo makes character that enables Ice versions of Full Quantum team.
I have fond memories of using march, she wasn't much but she made a good case for herself, despite only granting one shield per turn you could manage to sustain a team successfully, not too hard on story content, this also wasn't absolutely necessary as early game in its first months needed two sustains to be passable, y'know back before moc was supposed to be beatable. I remember finding her pretty busted for granting aoe frezze on demand, for a good amount of time i paired Gepard with march and it was fun, it was viable enough too
having freeze delay march team ngl is pretty amazing. i still use her on moc or other end game stuff. my build doesnt concentrate on def, but break eff and effect hit rate and having Er rope really help freeze uptime. speed is also need to be on certain niche for freeze, march on 151speed feel comfortable to me

March is like my second most built character next to Fu Xuan (who is fully built)

THE #1 reason for using march 7th is against enemies with particulary strong charge attacks: voidranger:trampler's entanglement arrow, and stormbringer's windfall storm before you get Fire TB which basically makes her 99% useless. The 1% that saves her is her technique and ult, albeit the freeze chance not being 100%.
Basically, Strong starting off, but quickly and massively power creeped by free Fire TB
her talent paired with fire tb is also fun to watch

At least March got the Herta treatment in G&G and SD, literally one of the most broken bc of Rememberance as she's mandatory for the Rememberance run to go well in higher difficulties.
I still use March in the canon teams for playing the story. Nicely leveled up and everything. Probably a good thing since she's might be getting Trailblazer treatment.
March's design is top Tier. The colours from stellar jade putting into a character just looks gorgeous.
If we ignore the fact she got censured - which is never a good thing - she is really cool.
Im 5 days in on my account, TB41. I’m in penecony and i was keeping up with all the adventure/continuance/companion missions. I only have 3 adventure and 1 continuance mission. Early game i was using ratio/clara/pela/bailu. So now that im mid game, once i slapped march 7th on my team over pela, it was hilarious af. That addition of march shielding clara and increasing the chance of clara being atk’d. Chef’s kiss. But now that we know what adventurine does (shields EVERYONE) i want him lmfao.

And now with misha even her freezing abilities aren't safe from being powercrept
March is good for SU and as they expand SU she only keeps getting more cracked because she has an interesting combination of abilities: shield (also taunt increase), freeze, follow-up attack and even some healing with eidolons. Measuring character's worth only by mirror usability when there's 3 "end games" is ridiculous

march is still ny most used character to this day i've been playing since 1.1 i don't have gepard or fu xuan but i still think march is the best girl and i look forward to her getting the dan heng treatment so i can pull for her 5* counterpart and lc i use both versions of dan heng and look forward to using both versions of march idc if she's never bis i could never sleep on this queen

Honestly if you think about it her kit is actually overloaded?She provide shield, taunt increase, cleanse, FuA counter ,aoe freeze also heal at E6 as a sustain compare to 4* sustain like lynx who only bring heals,cleanse and taunt increase but the latter is much more viable than her with simpler kit. Which is weird but her downfall is because her low and weird scaling of atk+def also single target kit that isnt what we need for sustain unit in a team play..what is Hoyo thinking when creating her scaling.

Uhhhh you can't really ult with March on a Clara team. That was my Clara team before I had a Lynx, Topaz/Pela and Tingyun.
At the least she has an use in the expanded SU, but my main problem with her are they Eidolons, still don't have any of them

I find she works well with fire MC and Dan heng. I still use her even when I have an abundance unit as her cleanse is also great. I find if I need to turtle out a win she always comes in clutch

I built my march
I use her mostly with FTP mono ice bc her synergy here is great and the team kinda inherently doesn’t have a sustain Issue but she does I think still like destruction characters just not the current most popular the lil guys tho still like here and hopefully we get more destruction
So many freeze res enemies is annoying tho and really limits her usage and our only dps units who benefit explicitly from freeze is Yanging (esp e1) and Herta (also with eidolons) which as a Herta main is why I built her but if she only supports characters nobody likes she’s gonna have no presence.
If only she scales purely on DEF.

The thing is unless you have Fu Xuan, there is no good character of Preservation on your account... for most people. I still think that Gepard and March 7th are great. Especially with Jingliu on Mono-Ice. Aint no way someone's keeping you cheeks from getting clapped if its not those 2

I still use March and clear content just fine with her. MOC when needed, SimU, at highest of difficulties and floors. She's fine. I don't want or need Fu Xuan or whoever else.

Maybe with the release of Acheron, March 7th will shine again by wearing Trend of Universal market. Using her skill on herself increasing taunt and by building EHR by freezing enemy on follow up. Easy stacks for acheron . 2 stacks for every March hit
or you can slap that on aventurine or gepard for even more shields

March was benched the moment I got my first 5 star wich was Gepard. And then I got Bailu. At first you do not know how SAD I was for getting Gepard (Cause I really wanted Clara and the coolest most badass Robot ever) and got was pretty pissed... Until I realised how dumb I was because I was basicly immortal. In any content that isnt the final lategame content you can use Bailu and Gepard together. Meaning I spent my time being immortal in all the story and optional fights. It wasnt until Memory of chaos and simulated universe swarm that things got actually dangerous.... Okay I lied Kafka nihility in SU is BROOOKEN. You dont need anyone but a half assed Kafka and the path resonance to shred trough everything in existance. So yeah the only content I cant clear is Memory of Chaos and its only beacuse I cant really be bothered to minmax 8 characters.
And I am still thinking whether to upgrade my March7th to Level 80 and her traces to appropriate levels to finally create an AoE Ice team, with Herta/Jingliu/March/Fu Xuan to farm SU G&G on Remembrance path... Truly speaking, I have been unsuccessful 90% of runs there, on Conundrum lvl 10+ with some dices, even Jingliu/Ruan Mei/Gepard/Fu Xuan team always dies (or cannot kill the 2nd plane boss).
Having more ice characters is better since the blessings can let then all have freeze chance think Herta march pela and if u have them built already Misha or yanqing

I dont think March freeze is a problem for Clara, Sure it's "delay" the enermy turn, but the same time it make their next turn move faster,

Nah march is still better for freezing. Misha wants to hit frozen enemies more so than freeze them himself. It’s also a bounce attack and not aoe so there’s rng to it
@@franzjackson7625their freezes are different depending on the situation. If you wanna freeze more than one enemy March is better because of mishas bounce but if you wanna free just one Misha gives a 95% chance for one target and like 70-80s for two to freeze with his second trace. So it really comes down to the situation.
@@Mperez223m even then you would rather him attack frozen than him freezing. Also he would have to buuld additional ehr for enemies that have higher resist which takes away from his damage. March doesn’t have that issue seeing that she is just either building ehr or def anyway. All of this is being generous and only assuming ST which everyone dogs on hunt for being cuz of lack of only ST fights.
@@franzjackson7625 he has 60% ehr off with second trace and first trace gives a 100% freeze on the first enemy it targets. He can freeze on his own he doesn’t need someone to pre freeze for him.
@@franzjackson7625 you shouldn’t be building effective hit rate with all the stats in traces. Also mishas break potential is a lot higher than March’s in cases of less than 3 targets
