As a casual who plays randbats all the time, hearing "if your team has a bad matchup, it's not too different than being down a Pokemon" is very eye-opening. I really need to think about how I play to not just let the bad matchup be an automatic loss
Definitely, playing a bad MU, an even MU, and a good MU are different. That being said, in random battles you don't really know the MU at first which makes it a bit tough.
Ayo that Pory-2 name at 6:17 In all seriousness this is a very useful video, wanting to play better when i am losing and this video is perfect to at least help me out in these situations
one more point i’d say for mid-high level play is that to not count out your opponent randomly throwing the game. i’ve had so many gifted wins on ladder 🙏🏾
Great video! I wanted to see the reaction from the opponent when your lead kingambit clicked steel beam and also did you lose much elo during the production of this video?
It's better for me to always make safe middle plays no matter what because I am so terrible at predictions that it often leads me to losing, which is likely because I often play lower ladder so I can mess with unconventional Pokémon which has alot of people who often don't know what plays are good and make a terrible play which saves them from my prediction for a good play. One great example is when I had a powerful physical attacker and my opponent had a blissey out which walled many of my special attackers, so I switched to my special attacker because I predicted they'd switch to their physical wall, yet they just used their blissey to set up rocks despite the fact that my physical attacker would one-shot it before it could do so and they needed the blissey to survive all my powerful special attackers.
especially on lower ladder, your opponent may not be aware of how good certain pokemon are (like blissey in your example); or they just made an aggresive play (you said this was late game, so did you make the same double many times throughout the game? if so he could have predicted you).
@@Avacatdo It was the first time they brought out their blissey and they lost a good amount of Pokémon to my special attackers, they brought out their blissey while my physical attacker was setting up then set up rocks despite none of my Pokémon being that weak to rocks.
@@saphirestorm7952 if that's the case then I would assume that they just didn't know what blissey does (since you got many kills with special attackers before they ever brought out blissey). Also, if none of ur mons are weak to rocks why does it even matter? Sounds like ur in a winning position anyway
In the thumbnail it would be an impossible win as kingambit sucker punch is an OHKO after everything else has died let alone being outsped and killed by lando
It's not REALLY a comeback if you're just positioning a Kingambit win-- as I said, a comeback is about being in a bad position in a game, not just being down in pokemon.
This is a bit random, but I have got a video idea for you: you and a friend have $20 to build a pokemon team and than you will fight each other. It is inspired by a video series feom the makeshift project, where they have a $1 to $5 dollar option to make the perfect (insert random thing here) and the higher the dollar amount, the better the thing. I think you could do this with a pokemon team. For example: lets say you pick your wallbreaker, $1 could be specs luvdisc,$2 could be cb crabominable, $3 could be regular hoopa, $4 could be any darkrai set and $5 could be any kingambit set. It might be a bit complicated, bit I hope that I explained it well enough and that I might have given you a good idea for a video
Ay Pink! How you feelin’ about National Dex thus far? Also do you think it makes sense for Gliscor to be banned while Kyurem + Wellspring still remain?
NatDex seems fun! As for Gliscor getting banned, I'd say Kyu and Wellspring should be higher priorities, but broken is broken and Gliscor deserves a ban, so it's fair.
I just wanna say, after getting acquainted with showdown and playing around 1300- 1500. Kingambit is the dumbest pokemon, ever. Will o wisp misses im praying on your downfall

I know a comeback can happen, but i dont think you can sweep an entire team with Pikachu.

Wow! Great analysis!!!!

i wasn't ready for scarf steel beam gambit ngl
Nobody is :)
Real Pinkacrossers will remember when Pinka dropped down to the 1600’s because of Choice Scarf Steel Beam Kingmabit for a long time
Yea, I lost about 6 games before this... 3 of them I actually very nearly made the comeback but lost to RNG / missed prediction.
I was having hard time after losing so much in a draft league I went back to basics and really thought my friend recommended me u thanks :)
Glad I was able to help! :D

That's true for top-level play. Throwing is ALWAYS a possibility.
liked the gameplay segment at the end
I got requests for more gameplay examples, so I complied!
great video pinkacross!
Thank you! :D
Really good example at the end there, thanks
Glad you found it helpful!
Great video! I wanted to see the reaction from the opponent when your lead kingambit clicked steel beam and also did you lose much elo during the production of this video?
Lost about 150 ELO
A new video by goatacross, time to get to my peak elo just to tank it all again
Good luck soldier!

It sounds like it was early in the game so you probably didn’t need to make reads.
@jacobjensen7704 It was late game, in low ladder people sometimes wait awhile to actually set up hazards.
