This is exactly how I brush my real hair. I am super active and my hair is pretty long. My hair gets about that tangled by the end of everyday if I don't put my hair up. It's awesome to know that if I ever get a wig, it won't be any different than my actual hair. =)
This is very helpful. 😽 I have lots of wigs too and I threw away 2 wigs because they were too tangled. 😿😿 now I'll try to comb them. 🐱😺

this wigs aren't really expensive the really good wigs will run you 1000 to 1500. synthetic wigs are cheaper 10 to 100 dollars.

alright, so I loaned one of my favorite wigs [I only own two] to my elder sister, aaaaaaand she brushed it out with a normal brush (TT^TT) now it's all frizzy and messy and..... ruined. how can i fix this??? please help
Artist by Random I'm in the same situation. I brought one from Walmart because it was for a halloween costume, and now I need it for this photographer's gallery. It's all frizzy and I'm hoping that fabric softener can help fix it.
You can try trimming the frizz or you can try straightening it using the method that Alexa uses in her video about straightening wigs, hopefully that would help tame the hairs.
Thank you for this tutorial especially. I've really been wondering because my wig collection is growing and the part for the curly wig really helps because mine has a few tangles. Please keep making amazing videos!

Thank you for actually being educated about wig care. There a lot of channels that aren't educated and give bad advice.
I've had wig problems for years and have lived and learned the do's and don'ts the hard way; and you gave all the right advice and some new advice that worked for my awfully tangled wig that took 6 hours and lots of lost fibres the first time with another tutorial. But you helped me recover what was left of it. So I thank you on behalf of all of the cosplayers who are tired of seeing bad tutorials giving false information.

I shake up Shampoo, Conditioner, Hand soap and water into a spray bottle, spray a generous amount around the wig and wash it out with cool water. I read this on the Internet but so far it's worked perfectly!

oh my god this was so helpful. i was like halfway through brushing my longish wig with a normal brush when i realized thats not how you brush wigs XD and i need to properly brush it out so this was a life saver.

What's a good wig as a starter? My hair is naturally a light brown but I've always wanted to dye my hair. And I've seen youtubers like Glam and Gore with so many wigs and they're soooo pretty! It could definitely be an option for me if I like the idea but a lot of wife are v expensive. Should I start with a kinda meh one or should I save up and spend money on a really good one?
You can easily buy cheap(er cosplay) wigs on eBay or sites like that. They're often very nice and available in a lot of different bright colors, but still synthetic. I don't know if you'd prefer real human hair wigs, but since you're a beginner with wigs, I suggest you start with cheaper wigs like these ^_^
ninety percent of the wigs I own are from eBay and all but one of them have been fantastic quality. all I can say is make sure you read the reviews and see what they say about the wig and seller.

I made my black wig from them super frizzy because it was SO tangled (my dog got ahold of it sadly) any tips?
MeghanHatesYou what I do to the frizz is just cut it all off carefully. Or you can frizz up the rest of the wig and create an awesome frizzy hair style.

ok so I just bought my first synthetic wig for my erza Scarlet cosplay. but because I didn't know anything about wigs, I've brushed my wig with my regular brush twice. is my wig ok? or have I already ruined my wig? (I'm sorry this is a real noob question XD)
I'm no expert, but I think that's up to you. Using a hairbrush on it can damage the fibres and fray the ends, but if you think the wig still looks good enough for your use, then go for it. The only thing is that if you brush it like that too many times, it won't last very long!

Just go for it! People might look at you weird at first, but I guess you get used to it.

+Micah Adrianne You can wear natural "cheap" wigs I bought mine on Aliexpress. the store "Aurica wig by Steve" is really good and it's cheap It's like 40 dollars for a wig .I personnally think as a new wig buyer that the hair looks natural but the scalp doesn't look natural maybe not for all wigs I haven't bought mine in "Aurica Wig" Just need a hat and it's ok.Another advice is to first wear your wig home .That way you can see what it does when you bend over and all that stuff
It's scary at first, but the more you wear them, the more confidence you get. I get weird looks sometimes, but more compliments than anything. The good outweighs the bad and gives me the confidence to wear them all the time :) you may be surprised!
