Firefighters are truly the big civilian heroes. if it weren't for them we wouldn't be here because everything would have burnt down by now

When you hear those federal q sirens scream you know their on the way to the rescue and everything will be okay.
I got to sit in the old fire engine at magic kingdom and crank the old Q Screamer. Glad to say it sounds exactly the same today!
A and Air Horn is great echoing through the intersections. “F*ck out the way bish!”
I was a volunteer for 10 years. When I ended up in the officers seat I never used the electronic siren. A Q and an air horn move traffic much better. I want the world to know without question help is on the way, not just some random siren in the air.

Fire trucks today lack any character. They are all square boxes with silver doors. May as well put a siren on a moving van.

What air horn is on the first fire truck?
Living in Maryland and have a green and blue and yellow trucks in my county I can understand different truck colors but I will never understand the blue flashing light on a fire truck. Blue to me means police.
In Switzerland blue means everything of Emergency response:)

@@sebastiancruddas2967 it definitely applies in the United Kingdom. Blue flashing is a lot stronger light so is used by police, fire service, ambulance, HM Coast Guard, RNLI, Search and rescue, Blood Transport,

Red and Blue is far more visible and draws more attention then just red and white. It’s safer for the engines
