      @RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware  6 дней назад

      Hi there, thank you for your question! If your SSD appears in Device Manager but not in Disk Management, try these steps: Use Command Prompt to check if the SSD is listed with the diskpart command (list disk), and if so, clean and format it using commands like "create partition primary" and "format fs=ntfs quick". In Device Manager, right-click the SSD, uninstall the device, and restart your computer to reinstall the driver automatically. Utilize the manufacturer's SSD utility for diagnostics and repairs.

      Hi there, thank you for your question! Check for hidden devices in Device Manager (enable View > Show hidden devices) and run the hardware troubleshooter in Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other Troubleshooters. Additionally, ensure the SSD has no firmware issues by checking the manufacturer’s website for updates. If none of these steps work, the SSD may be defective and require replacement.

    Hi, I have 3 separate SSD drives, namely C:\ D:\ and E:\ The D & E drives are used just for storage and the C drive has the operating system.
    The D & E drives have their separate data and power cables, yet somehow every now and then my E drive disappears. I then shut the system down, unplug the power cable from the E drive and then plug it back, start up the PC and the E drive becomes visible. I have tested the cables
    and drives and have found no errors at all, so why does my E drive keep disappearing ? It drives me mad. ANy suggestion would be very much appreciated. Cheers and THANKS in advance.

    • @RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware
      @RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware  2 дня назад

      Hi there, thank you for your question! The intermittent disappearance of your E: drive could be caused by issues with power supply stability, loose or faulty SATA connections, or problems with the SATA port or cables. Start by ensuring your power supply is sufficient for your system's components and test the E: drive on a different SATA port or with new cables. Disable power-saving settings in Windows by preventing the drive from turning off, and check BIOS/UEFI settings to ensure the correct SATA mode is set. Update your motherboard's BIOS and the drive's firmware, and check the drive's health with tools like CrystalDiskInfo. Ensure your SATA/RAID drivers are up to date, and check the Event Viewer for disk-related errors. If the issue persists, test the drive on another system to rule out hardware faults with the drive or motherboard.

      @@RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware Thanks for the quick response. Much appreciated. The only thing I have not done is to check BIOS/UEFI settings. I have tested all including changing the drive letter of the drive in question, and that did not work.

      @RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware  4 месяца назад

      Hi there, thank you for your question! First check that all physical connections are secure, ensuring the SSD is properly connected to the motherboard. Try different SATA ports or cables if applicable. Update the SSD's firmware and your motherboard's chipset drivers. Enter BIOS and verify the SSD is recognized, enabling AHCI or NVMe as needed and disabling options like "Fast Boot" or "CSM." Disable power management for the SSD through Device Manager and set the hard disk to never turn off in Power Options. Run chkdsk /f /r to check for file system errors, and if possible, test the SSD on another computer. If the issue persists, it could indicate a hardware fault with the SSD or the motherboard's controller.

    I’m trying to add a Samsung 850 EVO SSD with my current Windows HDD. When both the HDD and SSD are connected my monitor shows "No Signal" and stays on a black screen even after waiting 10-15 minutes Booting with just the HDD works fine

    • @RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware
      @RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware  2 месяца назад +1

      Hi there, thank you for your question! First i recommend trying to update your motherboard BIOS and confirm both drives are detected in the BIOS, setting the HDD as the first boot device. Test the SSD by booting with it alone, and try connecting it to a different SATA port to rule out hardware faults. Perform a CMOS reset by removing the battery or using the reset jumper to clear potential misconfigurations. If the problem persists, use a SATA-to-USB adapter to test the SSD externally and verify driver conflicts in Device Manager.

I can’t enter BIOS when the SSD is connected to see if it is even detected because the screen just stays black with no signal. I also have an older PSU (Sempre 700W, model BD-701CTP12-E), and the SSD doesn’t seem to get warm at all when the PC starts, even after waiting for a while.
