Note regarding cheating accusations: I have been reading the comments under this video, and it seems some people are doubting the legitimacy of my run. It pains me quite deeply, but it is understandable as this challenge has been considered impossible for a while, and I am a relatively new face in the HK community. The most common argument against this runs legitimacy is carefree blocking the damage from two consecutive hits, which according to the wiki should not be possible. My answer is as follows: I don't blame these individuals for initially thinking this run is cheated since this information is not very well known: Baldur shell hits are considered hits for carefree in the game's code, and so increment it's proc chance - therefore the carefree procs were not actually on consecutive hits. After I completed this run, I calculated a success rate for this particular attempt: (0.9)*(1.0)*(0.9)*(0.2) = 0.162 or 16.2% chance of those two hits being blocked. Some people consider this extremely lucky, but considering the amount of attempts, it's actually quite reasonable. If you still have doubts, feel free to scrutinise the clear as much as you feel necessary (you won't find anything, the run isn't cheated), and if you have any questions, post a comment and I shall answer, I read them all. Well it's not exactly a no hit When using baldur shell or when carefree melody activate's it counts as getting hit but well... You dont die It's like receiving damage, but it's actually 0 damage
I mean, that's not the reason why you use baldur shell there (you use it because towards the peak, any radiances accuracy becomes unbearingly high so you basically have to block the hits or you WILL get hit) but yes, it's a veeeeery neat side effect of that.
It was also so patient to get 2 carefree melody procs. Im not sure on the odds but they seem bad. You can’t really avoid hits in the climb without good rng.
They cheated you see multiple time they faze through at 0:56 if u slow it down to 0.1 speed u see that after the descending dark he gets up and the light wall goes through. Ar 1:04 if u slow it down to 0.1 speed again you clearly see the light balls overlaps the knights sprit at 0:56 you clearly see they are not using baldaur shell and at 1:04 you see that they were moving so they could not have used baldaur shell either way It is even more suspicius cuz they popped in only recently.

Agamemnon of Mycenae First of all, inform yourself, carefree Melody percentage doesn’t go above 90ish% and the percentage increases each hit YOU take,not each hit you deal to the boss.
@@dppjirachi I investigated this topic and video creator claims that bolder shield blocks count as hits towards the Melody counter. Idk if thats true but it would explain the double hit block

He is the first to radiant but not the first to defeat any rad.judging by his video,he defeated anyrad 2-3 months ago,and many people had already defeated anyrad by then
Another milestone hit that was thought nigh impossible, at one point in time people thought Any Radience was impossible, then after beating it people started trying to beat it without spells a major component in dodging, and now you've haven beat it without getting hit. At this point someone's gonna beat it without spells hitless, and then some crazy person's gonna start getting rid of charms one by one. This community will forever stun me.

I came into this video expecting this to be fake - invincibility hacks or something of the like. However, having watched the video carefully looking for such evidence, I am shocked to announce that this is 100% legitimate with no cheats or mods, other than the one to add any radiance in the first place, involved.
And then there's me, who struggles with P5 Sly. Seriously though, this is amazing. Seeing you do this gives me the hope that I'll probably get through P5 one day.

hard to believe this isnt a tas, but a tas would be maximizing the ammount of nail hits on the radiance, so i cant acutally communicate the ammount of respect i have for this man.
Do you think it's physically and mathematically possible to do any radiance with all bindings? I doubt it since you wouldn't have any resources to survive the ascent phase like baldur's shell or carefree melody, but I'd like to hear your opinion.
@@neutraldalek4222 you would have to use the void strat, but starting more than half way up since you can only void 3 times. The luck is comparable to radiant (you need slightly more luck for this) but it's possible
I've only had Hollow Knight for a year now, and I only own it on console at this moment. The amount of skill and breath-taking strategies for speed runs, bosses, and even pantheons is overwhelming at best. On a side note, this has to be one of the first videos I have seen myself for a world record, not trying to gain brownie points on this though. I would love to learn as much as I can from this game and see more content of it and eventually see everyone melt over Silksong too. From a gamer, to a gamer, I would love to see more come from you, and the rest of the HK community, for, as I search more and more, the more breath-taking views and skillsets always surprise me. I hope one day I can match up to people like you with such a set! I believe with such devotion, you deserve a small break, but I think we all know that won't last long for there is always more to do. Just a lil' correction for some people who got this video wrong. This is NOT a no-hit, this guy DID get hit at some points. However, he did not try to hide this fact from us, the title even says "No Damage". Still an impressive feat, obviously, but I just wanna sprinkle this so people don't mix no-hit and no damage.
because that's what many people don't understand. "Radiant" doesn't mean "no hit". It simply means "taking damage kills you". And they didn't take damage so everything's cool ^^
I will say, that was a very well performance, I did watch the video over again in .25 speed just to make sure, and as far as I could see there wasn't any points that they got hit, but didn't take damage, so this runs seems legit, and the luck with carefree to avoid damage was lucky, and as meta said in their comment, they had done alot of runs, and that luck isn't unlikely for the amount of runs of any radiance, also anyone who says that the run is cheated, to really verify (If) they chested, for frame by frame and check the run for hits, because there weren't any hits that I saw, great job Meta 😀

Was rewatching fire's video about this boss and saw a comment that it had now been done damage-less!!! This is absolutely INSANE!!! I'm a casual player myself (haven't made it through any pantheons yet) so I just love sitting back and watching talented people do what they do. This was so mesmerizing!! GG!
Suspicious times: 0:44 / 1:00 / 1:34 (HOW?!) / 2:05 / 2:47 (Odd hitbox?) There also was some extra weird misses in the final phase with off screen light-balls. However I do not exactly know how far or immediately the light-balls despawn of screen so I did not include them due to inconsistency (I have played HK for 100+ hours so I at least now a little, I'm not spouting *ABSOLUTE* Bull) Edit: Debunked: After viewing other sources of Any Rad., the odd hitboxes in the video (like 1:34) have been duplicated and have also resulted in no hits.
1. All the timeframes were close calls, but can easily be explained by either the inaccuracy of the knight's hitbox vs the actual model, or by the fact that ddark s last quite a bit after the actual ddark 2. As for last phase, orbs despawn nearly IMMEDIATELY after going offscreen, meaning, in a vacuum, the last phase is actually the easiest of the 7 (excluding the crazy amount of stress felt when you reach the phase in a run)

I was actually a little disappointed when the first hit was blocked, I thought the run was over as I was at the mercy of climb RNG. Luckily I managed to reach the baldur spot to increment carefree with baldur hits, and after the 2nd carefree block the stress really kicked in xD

Congrats for the run dude. I have seen videos before of people doing this boss overcharmed or on ascended difficulty but going from that to No-Damage is a very big difference. But tbh I'm more impressed by your motivation to get this run rather than the run itself. There are some TAS videos perfectly fighting this boss but for an actual human to do it requires a lot of perseverance. GG's

I like how slowly you and fireb0rn play. Shows that sometimes you don't need to mash keys at lightning speed, but just get your senses sharp and persist.
Thanks! Unlike most Any Radiance clearers, I do not have much experience with speedrunning or speedkilling, so I'm not very trained in that aspect. Additionally, every movement and attack in this challenge is deliberate and precise as any small mistake would end the attempt, so it is important to take it slow and keep your focus.
@@MetaAbusser and I believe that's how the game was supposed to be played from the very beginning.Speedrunning is cool and such but speed is not the most important factor in the game: surviving is.

(Carefree Melody) Taken from wiki: "The block chance resets to 0% every time the Charm prevents damage". That means that the Carefree Melody shouldn't have prevented a damage on the climb phase, bc it already prevented damage on platform phase (maybe that's just something i don't know, so don't take this seriuosly)
Using baldur shell counts as a hit! that means the hit at climb had a 20% chance of happening (2 hits with baldur before it), it's a little confusing but an understanding of it is necessary at the top levels of play.

I can confirm from personal experience that the hitbox of those orbs are smaller than they look. There wasn’t an actual hit.

I will say, that was a very well performance, I did watch the video over again in .25 speed just to make sure, and as far as I could see there wasn't any points that they got hit, but didn't take damage, so this runs seems legit, and the luck with carefree to avoid damage was lucky, and as meta said in their comment, they had done alot of runs, and that luck isn't unlikely for the amount of runs of any radiance, also anyone who says that the run is cheated, to really verify (If) they chested, for frame by frame and check the run for hits, because there weren't any hits that I saw, great job Meta 😀

There also was some extra weird misses in the final phase with off screen light-balls. However I do not exactly know how far or immediately the light-balls despawn of screen so I did not include them due to inconsistency (I have played HK for 100+ hours so I at least now a little, I'm not spouting *ABSOLUTE* Bull)
Edit: Debunked: After viewing other sources of Any Rad., the odd hitboxes in the video (like 1:34) have been duplicated and have also resulted in no hits.
1. All the timeframes were close calls, but can easily be explained by either the inaccuracy of the knight's hitbox vs the actual model, or by the fact that ddark s last quite a bit after the actual ddark
2. As for last phase, orbs despawn nearly IMMEDIATELY after going offscreen, meaning, in a vacuum, the last phase is actually the easiest of the 7 (excluding the crazy amount of stress felt when you reach the phase in a run)
@@MetaAbusser So I actually had a debate with someone else who plays HK (better than me) and they showed me clips of the exact thing happening in their runs of Any Rad.

I was actually a little disappointed when the first hit was blocked, I thought the run was over as I was at the mercy of climb RNG. Luckily I managed to reach the baldur spot to increment carefree with baldur hits, and after the 2nd carefree block the stress really kicked in xD
@@MetaAbusser The amount of memorization for each attack pattern is crazy, even I jumped from my chair in the final climb. This is peak hollow knight as of now.

honestly absolutely amazing, the melody hits were insane I can only imagine how many attempts were shattered due to how bad the rng can be at times but regardless absolutely insane
True, this boss has a crazy amount of rng, which is a big reason why it was generally considered impossible to do Radiant

I have seen videos before of people doing this boss overcharmed or on ascended difficulty but going from that to No-Damage is a very big difference.
But tbh I'm more impressed by your motivation to get this run rather than the run itself. There are some TAS videos perfectly fighting this boss but for an actual human to do it requires a lot of perseverance. GG's

I like how slowly you and fireb0rn play. Shows that sometimes you don't need to mash keys at lightning speed, but just get your senses sharp and persist.
Thanks! Unlike most Any Radiance clearers, I do not have much experience with speedrunning or speedkilling, so I'm not very trained in that aspect. Additionally, every movement and attack in this challenge is deliberate and precise as any small mistake would end the attempt, so it is important to take it slow and keep your focus.
@@MetaAbusser and I believe that's how the game was supposed to be played from the very beginning.Speedrunning is cool and such but speed is not the most important factor in the game: surviving is.
@@IschmarVI it's just up to the player to decide what they enjoy and how they want to play it. I personally will probably never get into speedrunning, but that's just because I don't enjoy it

(Carefree Melody) Taken from wiki: "The block chance resets to 0% every time the Charm prevents damage". That means that the Carefree Melody shouldn't have prevented a damage on the climb phase, bc it already prevented damage on platform phase (maybe that's just something i don't know, so don't take this seriuosly)
Using baldur shell counts as a hit!
that means the hit at climb had a 20% chance of happening (2 hits with baldur before it), it's a little confusing but an understanding of it is necessary at the top levels of play.
