I'm sure piano players are shaking their heads wondering why there is a *6 minute lesson* on one chord but when I was starting out, this was the most annoying chord for me to play in two of Gary Moore's ballads ("Parisienne Walkways" & "Still Got The Blues"). The three-string barre is a useful tip and showing an alternative third fingering is also very useful - it was only by using an alternate fingering for a diminished chord that I was finally able to play a Chet Atkins piece cleanly. These small tips can help a lot once they click in your brain. Some may naturally fall into them intuitively, others like me need explicit instructions (e.g. nylon picks are useless for pick scrapes - I learned that after 20 years of playing them badly from a Rick Beato comment).
You will be pleased to know that there are many people like you. Something I learned quickly as a guitar teacher is how far a simple tip can take a student. 😊
@@guitar-academy I absolutely agree! All of my biggest improvements were from working directly with a guitar teacher and many of those were based on very simple principles.

I think my hand is just too small for this. My middle finger ends up putting pressure on the 5th string on accident so I move my thumb away from the top of the fretboard so my middle finger can stay above the strings but then my pointer finger cant keep enough pressure on the 6th string
