Nice FN2, I've spent so much on mine in terms of mods, reliability is the best zero issues . Best mods I'd recommend is induction kit, catback and an ECUTEK remap, lots more midrange you will not regret it ! The remap will lower the VTEC engagement point to 3800rpm. Daily driveability greatly improved If budget stretches further LSD will totally transform the cornering ability. If you're in bucks area drop me a line
Thanks for the comment firstly!! I actually plan on getting the ECUTEK remap, I've watched so many videos on the functionality of it and it looks great. The induction kit will be coming soon enough too. My cars a 2011 model so it already has an LSD and I feel that aids to why it handles soo well. What year is your one? What exhaust have you installed on yours too?
Nice one man I wish I bought the one with LSD , you're set . Mine is a late 2008 I'm running OEM shocks with eibach springs I got a set of yellow speed coilovers that I need to get fitted . Eibachs are comfy bit bouncy on 30mm recommend 15mm springs The exhaust I'm running is a tegiwa catback system , it's single exit not ridiculously loud but a nice basey tone Make sure you get everything you want added before you map or you'll be mapping again Remember the K20 loves to breath the better it breathes the better it performs, deffo get a weighted shift knob like a skunk2 with some fresh honda MTF fluid you'll see a difference there to
I've actually bought springs for my car which I'll be fitting this week (won't ruin it as that's gonna be on the channel this week or next). They're not Eibachs though I did look at them for quite some time. And yes, I'm aware how much the breathing mods help with that engine and to get the parts on first - my local garage gave the same advice! How long have you owned yours?
i always wondered if lowering the vtec would be too lary/noisy too much of the time. ive only got a piper cross air filter on mine atm ,its sound awsome. no fart can sound just inductioin & engine noise and its loud enough for a dialy. i almost want the vtec to come in at higher rpm so i dont sound like im screaming even when im just driving normal. im i missing something or just wanting to have my cake & eat it (u cant have both)?
Think you need to mic up the person giving their experience, as your voice comes through loud and the owners is dead quiet. Good video other than that!
Nice car bud watched your Double Din Stereo replacement which made me decide to upgrade. Mine has sat nav though so bit more difficult. Apparently I need to change the Nav display unit to a normal one as well. I only weekend drive mine and it has only covered 19 k miles. Plan to turbo or supercharge it soon. What's your WhatsApp I will send you pics and stay in touch. 👍👍
Glad we can be an inspiration to you man!! I remember hearing it is trickier to get the double din in if you have the satnav option - What's the spec of the civic you bought?? You can email pics to us via our email - jandctalkcars@gmail.com. Be good to see the progress 👍👍👍
