Yea, this is addicting :) It's a pleasure to watch these old cameras! Keep up with the good work!
Thank you for watching! - Kevin
Yes to the cleaning/troubleshooting/repair video.
Would totally watch a video fixing the instaxes!
Thanks for the feedback! I will try to get a video done with that soon!
Me too!!
It's becoming my new favorite thing 😊
WOW I need to get my hands on a lot like this! Flipping cameras is the best way to be able to afford nice gear!
It really is! Thanks for watching foxtailwhipz. Really appreciate your comments and viewership!
Hi Kevin, loving this channel. Fun to go through cameras of yesteryear, am impressed with your knowledge and memorization of every model/battery it uses. How do we buy these off you directly? And just a tip, maybe you can mark with a bit of tape on your table and fix your focus there for a close up shot. Sometimes we can't see the closeups when you switched to camera B. Keep up with the cool vids!
Thanks for watching, it is much appreciated! My ebay store name is California545. And-great point with the second camera, I have definitely noticed that myself. Already filmed the next video but for the rest I am going to get that resolved!
Was just about to go to sleep (22:40 here in England 🏴.. but not now lol.
Thanks as always for watchin' @derekcoe9633
I have the same model 8 mm camera. Mine works, too! I never bought film for it though, I kind of inherited it from my great grandpa.
Oh wow! That's awesome! I'm sure there was some cool family history filmed with that camera.
I like your videos, some of them i watch 2or3 times!
:) Very cool thanks!
I'm loving the channel, great work
Glad you enjoy it and thanks for watchin’
Been motivated by this channel to take Canon SX210IS, SX260HS, G6, G10, S90, and Olympus SP500UZ on recent walks, plus have Canon A560 and A1400 ready to go. I even have 100 AA batteries in my Amazon Cart (will I ever use all those batteries??), and think I want one of those tiny camcorders I had always ignored.
@wadelapan5756, thank you for watching again, and quite the collection! And all great cameras you have there. Actually love the Sp-500, doesn't that use XD memory? I think it was around when Olympus was transitioning from XD to SD. A1400 is awesome, and SX260 has a special place in my heart!
@@pricklypearcamera Yes, SP500 is XD; your episode on XD was fresh in mind as I was trying to put SD in its similar-sized slot, then realized my error. I'm sure you've had the other two I have: SP600 and SP820. Point & shoots are a secondary hobby of mine, acquired in the pre- "digicam" era from just a few of the box lots like you feature, plus here and there. So I find your unboxings quite entertaining.
😊👍
Congratulations on hitting 1000 subs!!
🎉 woohoo! Thanks!
I hopped in at 500 and something
Glad to see this channel is skyrocketing
This box was a bit of a bummer but thats how it goes sometimes I guess. I scored one of those Instax Mini 7s for $2 off eBay few weeks ago, paid more for the shipping ha. Looks pretty much brand new and came loaded with film. Ive had that Wide 300 too in the past but currently have the Wide 210, which is the model before it. Got that off Ebay few years ago for like $8. Hope the next box is better for ya!
Ah yes the Wide 210! I've used that one too! Good scores you've got there! I hope so too...I picked these randomly for opening order, so I'm hoping we've got a couple really nice boxes coming!
I see you using a wire brush to remove battery leakage: whether cameras or other battery-driven devices, I find ear swabs dipped in plain, household vinegar remove the hardened crud quite easily, without marring the contacts, which results in fewer "attack points" for [ potential ] future leakages to easily assault.
Fair point! I have a separate nylon brush and a vinegar spray bottle that I use as well- that one just had some really baked on residue that in my experience is challenging with just vinegar.
@@pricklypearcamera Fair point in return: admittedly, I probably haven't seen cases as extreme as you have. I suppose in some cases you need a hammer and chisel? ;-)>
Hi
Nice lot by the way where u get these cameras ,

Hello Kevin I am really enjoying the unboxing videos thank you for sharing them. You mention that you sell these cameras do you have a website or do you just sell through ebay what is the best way to get a hold of you to purchase a camera?
Hi! I am going to start putting in video descriptions, but here's the link to my eBay store:

@@pricklypearcamera Thank you for replying to my RUclips comment Kevin I look forward to seeing what you have for sale. I am looking for a Canon DSLR or Mirrorless in as good of condition as possible. I'm not cheap just broke LOL
How do you know who to buy from? I’d be worried I’d buy from someone who already went through them and was sending me all the broken stuff.
Hi, it is definitely a danger. The simple answer is that it’s impossible to truly know. I’ve been burned a few times, but have built up a few sources over the last decade that have a reasonable amount of working cameras among the “untested” to make it generally worthwhile.
