Great videos, really enjoy your channel. I'm not sure if this is the place to ask but my 7 year old has been really enjoying learning the ropes on an old bridge cam, the dmc-fz10. I'm thinking about getting her a cheeky upgrade for Christmas and was wondering if you could point me in the right direction. Nothing fancy, something around $100 with a usable evf, prefarbly a ccd sensor but not vital.

how well does it do in dim light? and is it quick to start up? thats important for me too since i ill be using it as a quick pocket cam for quick moments

In my experience, however, with a series of unintentional drops, the waterproof capability does start to get compromised and you may no longer be able to use it in that fashion so just an FYI, this is based off of an older model of the Olympus waterproof camera

I wish more EF lenses would be made new because it really is the most popular universal lens mount as it adapts to all the newer systems, and of course the older ones. For cinematography the 2 most common mounts are PL and EF still. More creators should kind of push this idea. Too many mounts really just means more money being spent by consumers as everything becomes proprietary.

I must admit I am completely addicted to your videos. I have been an avid photographer for 35 years, and many of the cameras you describe are nostalgic for me. BTW - I am a sucker for micro four thirds and other crop sensor cameras. I just know that I am going to wind up purchasing a camera from you one of these days. Thanks for making these videos. I am always rooting for you to score a home run on every box you open.

I think the reason there's not a lot of profit in DSLRs is you won't tend to find them in lots or "x cameras in a box" till they're basically "throw away". Any one that still has some value is going to likely be known or found out by the potential seller - cause they paid a lot up front and so are far less likely to just toss in a box now. Also, post 2014 or so when smartphones "got decent", the $400-$650 new kits are "worse" in full auto mode point and shoot than the smartphone. And anyone who spent $1,000+ body only plus lenses is either a dentist or a camera aficionado. So they're also going to be more likely to know about residual value, and also may be more likely to either list themselves or go straight to MPB for a hassle free trade in or sale. Anyway, I use a Canon R5 with the EF 24-70 F2.8 II lens most of the time, with occasional EF 50 f.14 in the dark and some random adapted manual lenses for fun, and just got the Canon RF 200-800 for my bird photos. I currently believe the Canon R5 is going to be the new 5DmkII that'll be relevant for a decade or more - it was so OP when released and still is one of the top tier do anything cameras.

It's such a shame that the Kodak Z1012 IS doesn't work. I've been using this camera for years. The lens and image quality are incredible!! I love this camera and the CCD sensor. The dynamic isn't immediately visible, but it's hard to believe how much dynamic can be gotten out of a JPG from the Z1012 IS with image editing. It's by far the best retro bridge camera I've ever used, and I have a lot of compact cameras from the '20s.

The same issues from the Kodak z5010 are also present on my 2007 Samsung Digimax S850. It also uses AA batteries.

When the M50 first came out, I was looking to change from my 600D + Tamron 18-270. Shop tried to flog me an M50. The particular guy (now gone from the shop) was a product flogger and not a need matching guy. He didn't listen to me and what I wanted and why. Probably because he could not pair it with similar lens. I waited and I'm glad I did. Now have RP + RF24-240 AND R50 + RF100-400. The M50 would have been a waste of time and money. Canon have been a bit slow on RF-S lenses. I overcame that by going RP and then getting RF 100-400 (full frame). I can interchange but have not. That's now changing. Canon and Sigma both coming out with some good RF-S.

I currently have all Nikon Z gear... Z50 and Z30... all of Nikons Z DX lenses... Curious how can I find you on eBay...
