    Pro-tip to remove the tackiness from grips and other degraded rubber/plastic; use an old toothbrush and hand sanitiser. Most of us have these laying around. Scrub the hand sanitiser onto the grip with the toothbrush, wipe it away with a microfibre cloth or old rag. And repeat that a few times. Eventually it'll be like-new again.

    I have been a little mixed on shooting with cameras. First I shot with Nikon (a crappy L120) then a Sony DSC-H20, then to a Canon PowerShot SD550, then to a Sony NEX-5N, then to a Olympus C-60Z, and now a Nikon D100 and Canon PowerShot SD10. I use the D100 with an 18-55mm F3.5-F5.6 ED SWM GII and a 70-210mm F4-F5.6 AF Nikkor (non-D). Both lenses are very sharp but the 70-210mm produces colors that seem to really pop. It's a very good lens.
    I also have an early AF Nikkor 50mm F1.8 on the way, also a non-D or G version.

    • @horizonoftheeast
      @horizonoftheeast 3 месяца назад

      Yes, many film cameras have different bahavior with or without film. Although film testing is too expensive for shutter speed check, it's at least worthy to verify intended behavior for film advance and camera operation.

    The US Market for used cameras seems to be very different than it is here in Austria and the EU. I am not a retailer or so but i have a pretty big camera and lens collection and so iam often buying cams and also selling stuff i dont want anymore or just bought in a lot because of something i wanted to have. The digicam hype is not real over here at least on the local market places (maybe on ebay). Entrylevel DSLR dont sell, Bridge Cams dont sell, Nice Vintage SLRS do not sell very well eighter, vintage lenses sell pretty well as people like to adapt them to mirrorless, but the type of camera that sells by far the best here are analog point and shoot cameras. If i selll a nice SLR + a lens for around 50€ it probaly take 2 month till it sells but i can easily sell 4 analog point and shoots for 40€ each with in a week.

    if your selling these old cameras for the price your stated it must be Americans want old low pixels camera s as the 2nd hand prices of newer dslrs and the same as the low pixels cameras your charging for so most people would go for the newer higher pixel cameras, you couldn't sell these old cameras in the uk for the prices your saying. there worthless with lower than 18 pixels in the uk. old film cameras you wouldnt pay more than £15 for a mint one as no one wants them
