The oil part is so true!
I'm tired of seeing influencers saying "I'm following a mediterranean diet, so I'll add [insert insane amount of] olive oil to my bowl"
Well... I'm mediterranean, and while it's true that I'll add olive oil to just about anything savoury that's boiled, baked, or raw, it's just a drizzle. Unless we're eating an "oil based" local dish (and yes, we do have traditional recipes in which food is mostly swimming in olive oil), we don't eat nearly as much as foreign influencers think we do. It probably adds up to 1 or 2 tablespoons of oil a day. And 2 tablespoons in a flat plate is enough to have everything swimming in it, so those bowls that they make are insane. It's such a silly way to add unnecessary calories...

Chelsea, I'm short (5'3"/ 160 cm) so eating 1700 - 1800 does not put me in a calorie deficit. So I do follow your suggestions for 2 meals and then have a third small meal. I do eat veggies for breakfast because that's the only way oatmeal (1/4 dry cup steel cut oats or 1/2 cup dry rolled oats plus soy milk, fruit and nuts and often shredded carrots) can be filling for me. I eat the veggies first. I am retired, so I do make recipes but pretty simple recipes since I love spices. Thanks for your tips.

But I have to do what is best for me. If that means cooking 2 meals at supper it's all good. I have to put my health first. Love this. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!! I have been "binge watching" your videos as someone who wants to lose a few pounds especially off my waist and get out of that binging/ dieting cycle. I'm already "slim" but have quite a lot of body fat around my midsection. I always had this idea that I had to "suffer" and starve myself during the week so I could binge on the weekend, which is what I've always done, but your method has shown me a completely NEW way of eating that is totally sustainable!! I've been doing HATS for a few days and omg, I genuinely look forward to every meal where I can literally STUFF myself with delicious plant food!! Will keep you guys posted on my progress!! Thank you Chelsea, you're doing such an amazing job helping fellow mums stay healthy and happy! xxx

Straightforward, simple, practical tips. This is the woman that taught me that a 600 cal breakfast is totally appropriate for weight loss and sets me up for success for the rest of the day- I was totally suspicious thinking this would trigger me into eating more throughout the day. Instead, I’m more satisfied and don’t feel snacky! Before I’d have about 400 calories at breakfast and then spend the better part of the day chasing hunger about 100-200 calories at a time which never seemed to hit the spot aaand got me in the behavioral pattern of snacking snacking snacking- awful! Just by adding 200 more cals to my breakfast (with the right macro mix for me)I get satisfied and am not hungry until lunch!

I love all your advice👍I have learned so much from you and have definitely used your ideas constantly! Thank you for especially acknowledging that healthy shortcuts are good. I spend more to buy them but it’s worth it. I recently tried the new Plantstrong black bean burger mix, fabulous. And I buy Well Your World powdered broth mix. I have to pay attention to low sodium and non fat because my husband has atherosclerosis and we both have high blood pressure, even though we are thin, exercise and are WFPB. So living this life from a young age will be so preventative for your family. We are 69 and didn’t eat this way till our early 60’s. I love your videos ❤️

Hi Chelsea! Ive been watching a few of your videos during the last 2 or 3 days, and I think that i'll probably finally be reaching my weigh loss goals, and this is something that I need more than ever. Im someone who actually eats, so the kind of diets that are based on eating little don't work for me. And the carbs cutting diets... It gives me chills just thinking about going on something like that 🤣 also Im a very very very busy person, so all the meal planing, shopping and preping... Thats also irealistic. And what you recommend is none of this two things. Im kind of actually looking forward to start this after my holidays, and hopefully i'll be coming back here soom to share the good results. Thank you so much ❤️

On another note, I often use the term "weird" to describe some of the things I do that are consider counterculture by the masses, but deep down I know the actions aren't actually weird at all. Most are just following the herd. I recently read a book that called societal rule "brules", which stands for bull$hit rules.

If you want a video topic- can you do a whole video on air frying foods. I get so confused and I am older so please go slower on that video. I don’t know what air fryer to even buy.

About pregrated and such: that's a temporary solution, since every cutting surface loses vitamins, minerals, etc. quickly. It's much less nutricious, therefore not as satiating and healthy as it could be. . So the smaller it's cut, the less nutricious, the less satisfying. And less tasty. It loses water as well, and that's the magic ingredient of veggies to fill up those fibers. Of course it's still better than microwave meals or pizza, but only if that would definitely be the alternative. Choosing from the freezer is a great in between option. It's frozen very fresh and nutrients are kept better.

you kind of forgot the #1 rule. be rich. its kind of unattainable without this. but still an amazing accomplishment.

The heathiest and most filling plant based foods are some of the cheapest foods you can buy in the store! Beans, Lentils, Rice, Pasta, Oats, Pasta, Potatoes, Carrots, Bananas, and Frozen veggies. Value sizes of frozen fruits are a budget friendly option compared to fresh. Even tofu is cheaper than chicken at Walmart and Chain grocery stores. If you buy the pre made rice yes that is more money, but you can buy store brand instant rice and freeze it yourself for much cheaper 😊

This food is so cheap. Frozen veggies and potatoes are where it’s at. Eating out, drinking, and processed vegan food is whats expensive.
Also not prioritising your health becomes VERY expensive too.

No 10 works fine unti your kids get to high school or around 12-13-14. The peer pressure they will experience once their friends become more important than their parents is immense. My kids were raised veggie from birth and we went plant based when they were 8 and 12. We didn’t have junk food in the house. They’d never had Coke or McDonald’s. Now they’re 26 and 21 and even though they’re still mostly vegan / vegetarian they eat fizzy drinks and crisps and all sorts of vegan junk now and it was the exposure with friends that did it. My eldest is now severely overweight and has health issues. Don’t think it’s entirely in your control to prevent this happening. It’s so upsetting. 😢
