    I think you have resolved my issues with boxed corners! I have trouble making them match- and I’m probably measuring from the edge of the fabric instead of the seam allowance! Thank you Jess!

    I use food safe PUL from Wazoodle and asked their support team about wrong and right side. Was told depends on use. When using the Food safe PUL, the shiny side is the food safe side and used against the food.

    • @OklaRoots
      @OklaRoots  3 года назад +12

      Thank you Beth! After your email I reached out to them as well. The food safe said is the shiny side, but the fabric side is also safe to use, just not tested for foods at various temperatures like the shiny side is (it might stain, too, with liquid foods). I really appreciate your help and advice! One day I'll get the ride side of PUL right in a video!

    Thanks for this tutorial… I made a bunch in my own design snack bags for my family with Wazoodle PUL… we all absolutely love them. And no more single use plastic zippy bags. Wazoodle company is in the town I grew up in… it’s MADE IN USA Bensalem, PA!!! PUL tip- use a roller presser foot, or a teflon foot to prevent slipping… also, Janome blue tip sewing machine needle is amazing for sewing this… my Schmetz needles were sticking before a local shop owner suggested it… and I don’t have a Janome- works with any standard machine.

    Awesome Tutorial, Jess! Thank you. I am thinking I will swap out insulbright for fusible fleece to make it usable to keep cold snacks in. I need to eat on a regular basis to keep my blood sugars from dropping (I'm hypoglycemic) and I like to have string cheese or Greek yogurt cups on hand for my snacks. 😊 While it wouldn't keep the items cold for hours on end, it would keep them cool for an afternoon trip out to the park or for errands.

You have such cute prints and nice colors and anything I have seen online it just looks like industrial strength like for boats and stuff like that. I've looked at a few of your tutorial links and I've not seen it listed in there. Thank you very much. If you don't mind me asking what do you sell your snack bags for? I love love your videos. I use your sewing projects nearly exclusively so I can access your videos. They are the best .Thank you. I have made several of these snack bags and I love them. However, I was uncertain about the PUL fabric. In this video, you instruct to use the fabric-like side as front which means it lies next to the food. I have watched and re-watched and hope I am correct in interpreting your instruction. Since I was confused, I contacted Wazoodle about the PUL fabric and they were very clear that the 'shiny' side should be next to the food. Please let me know where I have confused this issue. Thanks!!!
