I’m still using my iPhone 8 Plus. I use 3D Touch all the damn time! I’m sad that I’m being forced to upgrade my phone, as iOS no longer updates, so my watch won’t update. I’m currently unemployed, so upgrading is a bit difficult, but where there’s a will, there’s a way!!

I envy those who got to experience it. I love the touch pressure stuff you can do on macbook so much and I've heard it's just like that with the nice haptic feedback. I mourn it and I never even had it. Hell haven't even had an iPhone since the 4, but probably going to try the 16 pro max just because although I love Samsung phones, I'm just bored.

    • @andrewdavidson665

@@hobosnake1 to my mind it worked better on the iPhone than with the (admitteldy outright fantastic) touchpads for the various Macs. I found the kind of pop up/pop out functionality just easier to control and usefully use on the iPhone. A quick bit of pressure to see something, release and back to what you were doing was just *chefs kiss* (amongst other things)

Proposition: Developing a Transparent Phone with Enhanced Mobility and Integrated Sensors
      Implementation:
Our proposed idea for a Transparent Phone aims to revolutionize the mobile device industry by fusing the operation system screen that plays video, text, websites, etc. with a high-definition camera to create a double-sided translucent screen. This design would eliminate the blind spots created by smartphones, enabling higher levels of mobility, convenience, and safety for users.
Furthermore, the integration of diverse sensor systems, varying from biometric sensors to environmental sensors like LIDAR, would greatly enhance the level of utility offered by the Transparent Phone. These sensors would make the outdated bionic device, including computers and smart glasses, less necessary and offer users a more efficient and seamless mobile experience.
      -------_-----
Algorithm for Developing an Appreciation App:
      1. Define the Purpose: Clearly define the purpose of the Appreciation App, which is to provide users with a seamless and enhanced mobile experience through the fusion of a high-definition camera system with a normal screen, such as a translucent screen or a transparent phone. The app should allow for adjusting transparency, brightness, contrast, etc., and should integrate biometric and GPS systems for optimal bionic device utility.
      2. Identify Target Users: Identify the target users for the Appreciation App, considering their needs, preferences, and technological capabilities. Determine if the app will be designed for general users or for specific industries or professions.
      3. Conduct Research and Design: Conduct extensive research on camera technology, display materials, and user interface design. Collaborate with experts in these fields to ensure the app's functionality, aesthetics, and compatibility with the chosen medium (translucent screen or transparent phone).
      4. Develop User Interface: Design a user-friendly interface that allows users to easily adjust transparency, brightness, contrast, and other visual aspects. Incorporate intuitive controls and gestures for seamless interaction with the app.
      5. Implement Camera Integration: Integrate the high-definition camera system seamlessly with the normal screen (GUI). Ensure that the camera captures high-quality images and videos, and develop algorithms for real-time image processing, enhancing the user's visual experience.
      6. Incorporate Biometric and GPS Systems: Integrate biometric and GPS systems into the app to optimize the bionic device utility. Utilize biometric data, such as fingerprint or facial recognition, to enhance security and personalize user experiences. Leverage GPS technology for location-based features, navigation, and contextual awareness.
      7. Test and Debug: Conduct thorough testing to identify and fix any bugs or glitches in the app's functionality. Test the app on different devices and platforms to ensure compatibility and stability.
      8. Customize Settings and Preferences: Provide users with customizable settings to adjust transparency, brightness, contrast, and other visual parameters according to their preferences. Allow users to save their preferred settings for a personalized experience.
      9. Enhance Performance and Efficiency: Continuously monitor and optimize the app's performance and resource usage. Implement techniques such as caching, data compression, and battery optimization to ensure efficient operation.
      10. Solicit User Feedback: Release the app to a select group of beta testers or users and collect valuable feedback to further enhance the app's usability, features, and performance. Incorporate user suggestions and iterate on the app based on their feedback.
      11. Release and Update: After thorough testing and refinement, release the Appreciation App to the target audience. Regularly update the app with new features, bug fixes, and security enhancements based on user feedback and evolving technological advancements.
      12. Support and Maintenance: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for the app, including prompt bug fixes, compatibility updates, and customer support to ensure a positive user experience.

Revised Algorithm for Developing an Appreciation App with Inclusion on Big Data Collection in Homeland Security
      1. Define the Purpose: The purpose of the Appreciation App is to provide a seamless and enhanced mobile experience through a fusion of a high-definition camera system and a normal screen, such as a translucent screen or a transparent phone. The app should integrate biometric and GPS systems for optimal bionic device utility while ensuring privacy concerns are addressed.
      2. Identify Target Users: The target users for the Appreciation App are law enforcement personnel, intelligence agencies, homeland security, and other first responders, who need to capture, store, and analyze large amounts of visual data.
      3. Conduct Research and Design: Extensive research on camera technology, privacy concerns, and user interface design is necessary. The design of the app should be tailored to meet the specific needs of target users while ensuring ease of use.
      4. Develop User Interface: The user interface should be designed to enable users to adjust transparency, brightness, contrast, and other visual aspects while meeting privacy concerns and data security standards.
      5. Implement Camera Integration: The high-definition camera system should be seamlessly integrated with the normal screen to capture high-quality images and videos. Algorithms for real-time image processing should be developed to enhance the user's visual experience while ensuring data security.
      6. Incorporate Biometric and GPS Systems: Biometric and GPS systems should be integrated into the app to optimize device utility and enable location-based features. Privacy concerns should be addressed while utilizing these technologies.
      7. Consider Big Data Collection: In developing the app, consideration should be given to the collection of big data and its analysis. Large amounts of visual data should be stored securely and analyzed using advanced data analytics techniques to generate useful insights.
      8. Test and Debug: Comprehensive testing should be conducted to identify any bugs or glitches in the app's functionality. The app should be tested on different devices and platforms to ensure compatibility and stability.
      9. Customize Settings and Preferences: Provide users with customizable settings to adjust transparency, brightness, contrast, and other visual parameters according to their preferences while ensuring data privacy and security.
      10. Enhance Performance and Efficiency: Continuous monitoring and optimization of the app's performance and resource usage should be carried out to ensure efficient operation and address any security threats that may arise.
      11. Solicit User Feedback: Release the app to a select group of beta testers or users to collect valuable feedback to further enhance the app's usability, features, and performance. User feedback should be incorporated to improve the app's functionalities and ensure data privacy and security.
      12. Release and Update: Once thoroughly tested and refined, the app should be released to the target audience, and regular updates should be made to address emerging privacy concerns and data security threats.
      13. Support and Maintenance: Provide timely support and maintenance for the app, including prompt bug fixes, compatibility updates, and customer support to ensure a positive user experience and address potential security threats.
In conclusion, the development of a Transparent Phone with enhanced mobility and integrated sensor systems would be an innovative step towards creating a more efficacious, convenient, and safe mobile device. This project provides ample opportunity for extensive research and development, especially for sensor technology, display materials, and energy efficiency, making it a valuable prospect for the mobile device industry.

    • @carsonlujan8134
      @carsonlujan8134 6 месяцев назад

@@BreakLoaf 3D touch was when you firmly press down onto the screen, a submenu appears so you can run specific commands. Such as pressing down onto the camera app opens a menu with shortcut commands. Like take a selfie etc.
Overall, it implemented so many shortcuts and features for the user such as Peek & Pop. Having to firmly press down each time to use it added to the user experience. Many features that 3D touch could do still exist today, although it lacks the feel factor that 3D touch brought to the table. Made it feel like an actual premium product. Something no other competitor had replicated.

With all due respect, seriously check out Samsung. We left iPhone years ago and never looked back. Still running Mac and loving the M chips for content creation and general use. Unless you're willing to run Linux, comparing OTS lap and desktops Mac vs. Windows... it's a no brainer. But in smartphones anymore, Samsung is killing it. Additionally, since Tim Cook assumed the leadership in Cupertino, seems like iPhone is suffering for poor QC, a rush to production, and we'll guess, Apple's insatiable desire for shareholder profits.

I stumbled across this video in my main feed. I am one of those people who likes touch ID. Because as a blind person, a lot of times, I keep the phone in my pocket and just use my thumb to unlock the phone. And swipe with my finger to hear the speech. I know I am probably one of the small percentage on the planet, who likes touch ID. But, there it is.

As nice as Touch ID would be so I don’t have to swipe up to open my phone. Touch ID tends to have more ( blocks ) like your fingers to oily or dirty or you have a cut or other stupid stuff like that means for it to be really good and not have issues it adds unnecessary complexity not that face if doesn’t have issues but it tends to have less problems

They've already perfected Face ID. Why add the complication of Touch ID _again_ ?
However, I do think 3D Touch might make a comeback, though. Thanks to improved touchscreen technology since the days of the iPhone X/8/8Plus generation, a thinner touchscreen with Touch ID may finally be possible.

face ID works with the mask? and face ID takes up too much space in the display compared to Touch ID under the display or in the power button. the design could be enhanced with touch ID. The action capable of different functions button could be given at the place of the power button with touch id .

    • @Sacto1654
      @Sacto1654 5 месяцев назад

@@sairoadways4365 Fingerprint reading under the display is not completely reliable yet, as users of the current Samsung Galaxy S23 series can attest to. And it makes the display quite expensive to build because you have to accommodate an under-screen optical or ultrasonic scanning system. If you have an iPhone 12 or later, you can actually do a supplemental Face ID scan to memorize your face wearing a mask.

I think touchID will never come back to iPhone, they have integrated faceID so perfectly it works like magic. When you need it, it pops and scans you don’t need to do anything, instead of scanning your finger in touchID.
