Sorry about my voice in this episode- was full of cough medicine and FIGHTING for my LIFE in the studio. 😂
This a joke? Sounds same as always does. Criss Cross Apple Sauce. ✌️
Hope you get well soon.
@@robk6680I was gonna say, it actually sounds like he's getting better since the podcast 😂
Hope you get well soon
Didn’t notice it
RIP 3D Touch. I can’t believe no one used it. It made the iPhone feel the premium device it it said to be.
I’m still using my iPhone 8 Plus. I use 3D Touch all the damn time! I’m sad that I’m being forced to upgrade my phone, as iOS no longer updates, so my watch won’t update. I’m currently unemployed, so upgrading is a bit difficult, but where there’s a will, there’s a way!!
People definitely used it, Apple just thought it wasn’t different enough from a long press to justify the added cost.
I loved 3D Touch! Used it all the time.
Out of curiosity, what can 3D Touch do that long press cannot
@@WendyAlysoni guess the iPhone is then the only thing then left, making you feel you are worth something.
3D Touch was a great innovation devs just didn’t implement it well if they bring it back it’ll def be good
Am I the only person who has not lost the muscle memory of 3D Touch? The amount of times I catch myself pressing and then pressing harder to make the camera and light icons on lock screen open up, and in other areas too... ugh. I miss 3D Touch. ☹
i like switching from app to app by pressing from edge to edge
I envy those who got to experience it. I love the touch pressure stuff you can do on macbook so much and I've heard it's just like that with the nice haptic feedback. I mourn it and I never even had it. Hell haven't even had an iPhone since the 4, but probably going to try the 16 pro max just because although I love Samsung phones, I'm just bored.
@@hobosnake1 to my mind it worked better on the iPhone than with the (admitteldy outright fantastic) touchpads for the various Macs. I found the kind of pop up/pop out functionality just easier to control and usefully use on the iPhone. A quick bit of pressure to see something, release and back to what you were doing was just *chefs kiss* (amongst other things)
3D touch was the best idea Apple ever had.
Proposition: Developing a Transparent Phone with Enhanced Mobility and Integrated Sensors
Implementation:
Our proposed idea for a Transparent Phone aims to revolutionize the mobile device industry by fusing the operation system screen that plays video, text, websites, etc. with a high-definition camera to create a double-sided translucent screen. This design would eliminate the blind spots created by smartphones, enabling higher levels of mobility, convenience, and safety for users.
Furthermore, the integration of diverse sensor systems, varying from biometric sensors to environmental sensors like LIDAR, would greatly enhance the level of utility offered by the Transparent Phone. These sensors would make the outdated bionic device, including computers and smart glasses, less necessary and offer users a more efficient and seamless mobile experience.

Idk why Touch ID on the power button can't be a thing. Even if you don't use it, it's nice to have the option.
Touch ID could work on the power button if it did come back
Fr
It already does on iPads so there is no reason why it shouldn’t come back?
Exactly... I detest face ID
Not once have I missed Touch ID. Free from the days that the slightest drop of water, or anything else on my finger, would hinder it from working. Face ID is just significantly better in multiple ways.
But what I do miss is 3D touch.
I miss 3d touch too. I also see no reason why you can't have face id as well as touch id under the screen.
A quick question, what is 3D touch and why is is such a big deal?
@@BreakLoaf 3D touch was when you firmly press down onto the screen, a submenu appears so you can run specific commands. Such as pressing down onto the camera app opens a menu with shortcut commands. Like take a selfie etc.
Overall, it implemented so many shortcuts and features for the user such as Peek & Pop. Having to firmly press down each time to use it added to the user experience. Many features that 3D touch could do still exist today, although it lacks the feel factor that 3D touch brought to the table. Made it feel like an actual premium product. Something no other competitor had replicated.
I miss 3D Touch a lot, they need to bring it back! I used to love it and use it so mu much
SO happy you posted again. I really like when you do these leak videos. Whether they're right or not, I enjoy getting so hyped up and also just listening to you be goofy lol.
On a side note, looking great Jon! I just can't go a single episode without saying that so I'm not even gonna try. It's amazing!
Already had the lotion and candles on
If you are going to use the action button to mute the tones and if the action button functions for only one possibility of use with one press, then I don't see what the purpose of the action button is, then it could have remained Mute.
3D Touch was the best
I wish they’d bring back Touch ID, fax machines, and cars you have to crank to start.
2:12 "it was never a size issue"… Jon you seem really comfortable saying this line with a straight face… 😂
I love 3D Touch and I needs to come back!! It was the reason why I kept my iPhone 6s for 7 years!
When are they bringing split screen?
I miss my 3d touch wallpaper animation on iPhone 7
Where did you get your glasses? Pls
Question, if the iPhone goes to capacitive buttons, how will they work if you have a case on it?
The case would have cutouts obviously
I loved 3D Touch. Used it everyday
It’s hilarious you say Face ID is much better when Touch ID worked every single time for me that Face ID doesn’t! Touch ID is also able to take you straight to your home screen but Face ID still can’t do that, after 5 years! Which one did you say is better again Jern?
All I want is TouchID back.
3D Touch definitely needs to return in iPhone and so does TouchBar in MacBooks.
I hate 3D Touch because the lower end models didn’t have it, but I love its functionality
Man i miss 3d touch
The only thing that would make me upgrade from the 15 Pro to the 16 Pro is if they brought back 3D touch
i mean the in screen touch id could come in some point to the se models? why not invest in the tech. could be used in futures watches, or maybe the vision pro
HERE YOU GO
I think the iPhone pro is just getting the 25% bigger lens for 3x not 5x system along with the new ultra wide camera
3D Touch is what I need
i forgot about 3D touch. that was pretty cool
Thank you so very much for your content fpt I really appreciate it ❤😊n I had no issues with my iPhone 15 Pro until today it’s with my WiFi is not connected to my iPhone 15 pro why is not connecting to my phone just today it’s not been doing this before it’s connecting to everything else buutt not my phone this is so annoying have a great day ahead ❤😊Jon
Cant believe they didn’t even bring multi press options to the action button this year
I miss 3d touch. Best feature ever!
I miss 3D Touch too... I can live without it, but I miss it a lot.
I just got the 15pm but i might upgrade only for the extra size. I might but i truly doubt it..
When you do I'll snag that 15pm from you🥰
Your stupid if you upgrade
Why? It won’t be much of an upgrade.
I would hold out till the 17 Pro Max tbh
@@jahhh8456 18*
Will the pros have a 4th camera? Cause i use the 3x telephoto more than i would use a 5x so if I upgrade i would technically be downgrading the camera zooming in with just the main camera to take anything between 3x and 4.9x
I love using the 5x zoom. Really good quality photos taken.
@@michaelhall9146Indeed I’ve tested it and it’s much better than the 3x but it also sucks that that middle point between ultra zoom and the main camera will be sacrificed
@@michaelhall9146Same!
3D Touch & TouchID were the coolest.
Really miss 3D Touch
My 12 Pro Max took a dump so I was forced to upgrade so I got the 15 pro last Friday and it’s an amazing phone. Good camera I like the size but I don’t give a fuck about some new zooming lens I want a bigger battery that’s my only complaint on the 15 pro is battery life.
@FrontPageTech perhaps Touch ID under glass could come to the watch. I really want to know when is Face ID cooking to the Mac.
How do we use a fake button with a case tho
If they don’t add a 4th lens on the smaller pro, I’ll be keeping my 15 pro. I like the 3x. I don’t want to sacrifice the perfect zoom length.
I have 15 pro max and I don’t miss the 3x lens. Although I think 7x would necessitate an intermediate lens
I just want the mini sized phones not to die
Watching while out here hustling...
This sucks. I really want Touch ID back. However, I also remember you said that the iPhone will never get USB c. Jokes on you. Lol
Touch ID was the most brilliant idea came up from Apple. Still don't know why they cut Touch ID off...
Face ID is more convenient imo
Yeah, there’s 0 chance the zoom lens thing is about the size of the device - it’s all marketing. They did the same thing with the 12; they gave the Pro Max a larger sensor and boasted it was because there was more room inside the chassis, but then a year later they increased the sensor size again and put it in both models
LETS GO JON YOU GOT THE GOODS
Please tell us about the 16 ultra already
I see a regular Pro price hike coming to $1099. The 6.3/6.9 sizes will be just the further nail in the ground to justify the price hikes and differentiate the Pros even more, because at some point the regular models will get promotion.
Prob gonna remove the 128gb option like they did with the 15pm. Which doesn’t bother most people buying a pro iPhone.
Prob gonna remove the 128gb option like they did with the 15pm. Which doesn’t bother most people buying a pro iPhone.
Now I m confused wil only pros get 6.3 and 6.9 what about non pros
@@MuzammilKhan-ht6vd6.1, 6.7 I’m assuming
@@MuzammilKhan-ht6vdnon pros stay at 6.1/6.7
Good to know
Touch ID if brought back I would think you be used in conjunction with Face ID as a double encryption of sorts. That way you need both to unlock the phone if you wish. It also means people could choose if they prefer one of let the other etc. I don’t see why (beyond the manufacturing cost) Apple wouldn’t do this as a major security upgrade
Seems redundant.
I NEED THIS PHONE NOW, my 6.7 14 pro max feels small
Thought they’d bring back Touch ID like from the iPad with the power button 😭
i hope they will make the camera smaller
I agree, why would they bring back Touch ID? Sincerely, Touch Bar
Im still waiting for 15 pro max stock to get my presale phone
If Touch ID manufacturing is completely shutting down. Could this mean even Mac will move to Face ID? Technically Touch ID isn’t exclusive to phones. Just a thought
Cool thought!! I guess they’ll finally take their laptop security up a notch! (pun intended)lol
Not only Mac, but iPads also
It doesn't make much sense considering there's TouchID on almost all Macs and on iPad Air and mini...
Apple needs to bring back 3D Touch
I have the iPhone 14 Pro and it has poor battery life, screen scrolling problems and some other bugs and random overheating. Should I trade in to the the 15 Pro Max or keep the 14 Pro and instead get a cheaper 13 Pro from eBay or parallel importer store, or wait for the 16 Pro?
I personal say go for the 15 pro max because the battery life really is good. I honestly sometimes don’t even charge my phone at night and still have enough to get by the day
You obviously let your iPhone discharge to 0% to many times, your memory is full and you downloaded a bunch of stuff with malware
With all due respect, seriously check out Samsung. We left iPhone years ago and never looked back. Still running Mac and loving the M chips for content creation and general use. Unless you're willing to run Linux, comparing OTS lap and desktops Mac vs. Windows... it's a no brainer. But in smartphones anymore, Samsung is killing it. Additionally, since Tim Cook assumed the leadership in Cupertino, seems like iPhone is suffering for poor QC, a rush to production, and we'll guess, Apple's insatiable desire for shareholder profits.
@@dalinesworld2517 Ok, thank you!
Would you recommend White Titanium or the Natural Titanium color?
I came here faster than the Fortnite Event 🤷🏻♂️
Why can't we have both face id and touch id? Lots of Android phones have that. Apple already has it on the ipad air. No excuse.
0:32 we love normal sized human hands
2:12 I know a thing or two about “scale issues” 😔
How do you find such great articles from superdry? Why can I ever find like these? Or maybe they send you the best ones hahahahaha
You trick us with a thump nail I thought it would be some newz about the ultra rumored model!
We need the 16 ultra!
3D Touch was the best ever
Leica Noctilux 58mm f1.0 on iPhone 16 Ultra
The 15 just came out, there's already rumors for the next one? Bruh
Touch ID might not be secure as Face ID. But it is more secure than the stupid passcode or pin you have to enter. That is more convenient and secure.
I miss it touch the 3Dtouch in the screen
Dude my glasses prescription is going to slow down a lot more than yours with my nice Pro Max and not squinting at the screen! You really like things smaller huh, LOL...
I need 3d touch back it’ll make me upgrade
Tim be cookin
This intro cracked me up idk why
I think we all remember Jobs’ disdain for the stylus when the iPad launched and whoa! Would you look at that ! Viola…Apple Pencil. That is to say, don’t rule out Apple backtracking on staunchly held positions. It has happened
Is there any chance apple will think to boost its camera to 100 megapixels?
nope maybe iphone 20
3D Touch was great.
Bring back the mini 😢
when in 2024 will the 16 be out
Unbelievable 😂❤.This is too much 😢
I’ve got normal hands, but I like to torture myself a little bit each day, for that MAX screen. I love it
I stumbled across this video in my main feed. I am one of those people who likes touch ID. Because as a blind person, a lot of times, I keep the phone in my pocket and just use my thumb to unlock the phone. And swipe with my finger to hear the speech. I know I am probably one of the small percentage on the planet, who likes touch ID. But, there it is.
I have a second generation S E, and I’m waiting for the fourth GEN to come out to see what’s going to happen with it.
I got the 12 Pro Max because it had a better camera than the 12 Pro. I’ve had the phone since launch day and it’s still too big. I’m excited to get a 16 Pro.
I miss 3D touch!!!
It’s obviously scale, you’re right, they are wrong. How does no one else get this?
Good Jern.
Take a shot each time Jon says "honey."
Touch ID rarely worked for me. I think I have weird finger skin that changes shape. I found it so irritating and then Face ID changed everything. Apparently my face works better!
5:11 I’m upset! You fooled me!
Aaaand now I have to play “Big Yellow Taxi”.
Original or Crows version?
Both!
😂dude basically said if you on the pro max model your hand ain’t normal💀
As nice as Touch ID would be so I don’t have to swipe up to open my phone. Touch ID tends to have more ( blocks ) like your fingers to oily or dirty or you have a cut or other stupid stuff like that means for it to be really good and not have issues it adds unnecessary complexity not that face if doesn’t have issues but it tends to have less problems
Just have both.... easy, you can use both, whichever procs the unlock successfully first!
why does 3D touch need touch ID? seems like different things to me.
They've already perfected Face ID. Why add the complication of Touch ID _again_ ?
However, I do think 3D Touch might make a comeback, though. Thanks to improved touchscreen technology since the days of the iPhone X/8/8Plus generation, a thinner touchscreen with Touch ID may finally be possible.
face ID works with the mask? and face ID takes up too much space in the display compared to Touch ID under the display or in the power button. the design could be enhanced with touch ID. The action capable of different functions button could be given at the place of the power button with touch id .
@@sairoadways4365 Fingerprint reading under the display is not completely reliable yet, as users of the current Samsung Galaxy S23 series can attest to. And it makes the display quite expensive to build because you have to accommodate an under-screen optical or ultrasonic scanning system. If you have an iPhone 12 or later, you can actually do a supplemental Face ID scan to memorize your face wearing a mask.
Lol almost spit out my drink with the translation
They need to put Touch ID in the watch.
I think touchID will never come back to iPhone, they have integrated faceID so perfectly it works like magic. When you need it, it pops and scans you don’t need to do anything, instead of scanning your finger in touchID.
