Nice, might try gym after i recovered from depression Edit:I didn't expect this to be seen by many people because it's personal and doesn't relate to the video. Edit2: its been 10 days since i've commented this and made 3 friends in the gym, this might be the last time i'll update this, thx y'all
As someone with shoulder pain due to my school bag, this is actually very helpful advice! I notice that most arm exercises put a tingling and achey pain in my joint. I think I’ll add this to my push-up and dip routine
Your body is such an achievement 💪 Too bad my heart can't withstand the strain of body building. I'm only allowed light exercises, but I guess that that's better than nothing.
I exercise at home, I had zero training and yet somehow that is exactly how I was doing those lifts. I noticed that tension was isolated to certain areas so I adjusted the position and it hit more of the area. That's awesome that I worked this out and got validated right here
I just try to make a contraction in the top to feel medial deltoid muscles. :) the small finger pointing up a little bit when I reach the top of my movement. :) all are good depending on the speed of movement and is all about contraction and efort put in your muscle. For older age a lower weight and slower movement is more beneficial avoiding any injuries. ;)
There's nothing wrong with keeping your arms straight. There's virtually no difference between straight and slightly bent other than comfort for the elbows.
Folks Lateral Raises is the only exercise that could get you see perfect results even with lighter weights without ever going heavy. The 🔑 is to perform them with a slight lean forward. Always remember there’s an even bigger and savage muscle sitting right behind we call “TRAPS” wanting to take over that tension from the shoulders. Traps are designed to work that way. Lean a bit forward and you will not only know the difference but even feel it. Block traps from taking over. The weight is pinned to your elbows, now imagine flying. That’s LATERAL RAISES
Doing it with straight locked arms gave me 'golfers elbow' because the tendons at the elbow were taking the strain the shoulders should have been supporting. Believe me, it's a b*tch to resolve.
Great explanation, and the lines help to show where the load is placed. God bless.

That could be due to your form or some other reason. It might be wise to get that checked out. Before doing any more exercises
My rule of thumb is to always point towards the corners of the room. Great advice!
I'm not gay, I'm not gay, I'm not gay

Thank you so much! Been doing it wrong for some time and now I know why and how to do it properly
It's isn't wrong, it's just different.
Need more such high quality content with such amazing knowledge ❤❤
Thank you. I will totally not remember this video the next time I do that though, but thank you.
Another tip is moving the elbow up as the main motion. That way it really targets the side delt.
It's also way heavier like that and you also risk injury a bit more. It can be done safely that way also it's just a bit more precise to get it right
@@Curu1 then lower the weight. Even chris bumstead uses 10KG for side laterals. So normies like us should just stick to 5KG
I need a video like this for every workout because I'm doing a lot of them wrong😆
Bro keeps distracting us 😏
Close enough, welcome back lelouche
I found this out the hard way after blowing a rotator cuff. Not only is it better at hitting my delts, it has actually helped my pain levels and ROM.
best la ade gym dekat rumah... power🎉

Bro can you make a day by day gym routine please?
I've recently subbed.. Good work💪 how would you train chest and shoulders with a shoulder impingement?? Thanks
Your workouts are awesome
Thanks for the guidance shifu ❤
Hi.
Some pointers
1. Supraspinatus causes first 15 degrees of abduction
2. 15 -90 is carried out by Deltoid
Hence, no need to go all the down either
Great tip thanks
Thanks for this information 😮🤔💪🏻
I like having my intuitions confirmed, I've always avoided the straight arms to the side because it didn't feel right
Can you make a tutorial using resistance bands?
Havent ever seen anyone doing lateral raises straight to the side in the last 8 years of gym

I'll lift however i want. Now, where is that damn gym membership
I lean slightly forward to better target the mid delts
wow, I've always wondered why those are so hard to do!
Bro science at its finest. Lots of "it seems likes" and "I finds"
Thanks for the tip
Shhht, bro i think your chest is trying to tell us something.
This really help 😊
Locked arms is a gymnast method. Lower the weight and build it back up over time.
Please sir, more explanation exercises in The gym please
Is he from Singapore?
But, what if you use lateral rise with rope? Many people do it with locked straight arms. Is it different with using dumble?
I always do lateral raises likecthis with around 60 to 70 degree bend ❤
Scarecrow raises targets lower pecs if done right
my crunchy shoulders cant even do the "wrong one" anyways
All the way up!!! Above the head. Don't stop at the shoulders. Ask my why
and people wonder why i bring my architectural triangular measuring scale tool to the gym. now you know.

I always struggled with correct posture for Side lateral, maybe no more from now on 😃

Just imagine pulling sheets. Cbum said something along those lines. Quote heavy sheets though who cant touch the floor.
What to do if belly is loose?
in my defense, they were looking at me first
おお、そんなやり方があるなんて知らなかったよ 🤭
I'll try this while leaning into my lats for maximum tension
Great..

Tice nits
Perfect😊
I do it the first way just because I wanna be the cool guy lateral raising the 60s
i did the straight arms version for a few months and now my I can’t do bench press properly anymore because of how it damaged my shoulder joints. 😢
Is coooood😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
Good
His eyes are down there.
pretend the weights are bottles as soon as you straighten your arms tip the water
Do people tell you that you look like Jay chou? 😍😍😍❤🎉😂
Correct 👌🏼
%100 right 👍🏻
Doing lateral raises in a 90 degree angle will also only support ego lifting. That will be more like a chicken dance than doing strength training.
Front raises for front delts? Not the way you showed.
That's why it's painful every time I do this😮
Thx buffed jay chou
Perfect
emotional damage
Malaysia boleh!
Nice
🙏🏻 🙏🏻 🙏🏻 🥰 💪🏻 💯
Even better don’t do them. Shoulder presses are all that’s needed.

Next question is whats your skin care routine lol
Singaporean?
actually this is not completely true. as scapular position is not same for all- if it was everyone would have shoulder pain from impingement.
AGREED
