Does anyone understand why Tina did not accept Erwin proposal for marriage despite his immense love and commitment to her? Abandonment Trauma, CPTSD after years of being married to a Malignant Narcissist and fear of betrayal! It is difficult to understand what a lifetime of trauma does to our mind, body and and soul. Tina grew up in a dysfunctional family, was abandoned by her own mother, that's the first line of betrayal in a person's life. If our own mother doesn’t love us, who else will? Every single human being who didn’t feel loved, cared for and protected by their mother and families feel betrayed. This betrayal comes not from our enemies but from our own carers, those who were supposed to love and protect us. The result is that we grow up not trusting the world and thinking we are broken, bad people, not good enough or not worth of love and happiness.
