- How to remove the front door panels on your 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 Dodge Ram.
Here are the tools you’ll need..
Trim removal tool or flat screw driver
Phillips screw driver or Phillips bit for drill
Either a T40 Torx bit or 10mm socket
First, remove the small trim from around the door lock lever.
Using the 10mm / T40 bit, lift the interior handle slightly to access and remove the handle.
There are four Phillips screws to remove- Center of panel, top of panel at a pillar, and bottom of panel.
Once hardware has been removed, simply lift up to unhook the panel from the door. Unplugging two connectors below door switches will allow the door panel of your Dodge Ram to be completely removed from the door.

I watch a lot of "how to" videos on yourube and get frustrated with people that can't communicate.
Your video was one of the very best I've seen for clearity and brevity. Thanks.
I definitely know what you mean.
Thank you for the feedback. Glad to hear it was helpful.
Thanks for the tutorial. Changing all my speakers and didnt know how to take off the panels.
Sweet! Thats a good reason to pull them off! I’ve been looking at upgrading speakers in my truck as well. What ones did you go with?

@@nathanconner7984 Nice. I’ve had several Pioneer speakers in the past.
Excellent video. Thank you for being so clear and precise, and I am now confident I can successfully remove my door panels .
@@SteveWolfe-l5h Appreciate the feedback. Thank you!
Worked great for changing a broken towing mirror. Appreciate you getting right to the point. Thanks.
Cool. Thanks for the feedback!
@@TunersCanvas Cool? I was dreading this. Tomorrow I’ll do the other side in 20 minutes. You dah man.
@@rascal0175 Not so cool that you had to do it, but rather the video was helpful :)
@@TunersCanvas Oh, I gotcha, but what you did for me was beyond cool. Cool isn’t half enough. One of those mirrors has been broken for 15 years on my 05 Ram 3500. So thanks very much. You were a game changer.
Great Video,I need the part 2 to take old tint off and replace, I can't find it ,Thanks again, I subscribed 😀
Hey thanks my man. This is exactly what I needed. Perfectly and succinctly explained. Going to check out more on your channel.
Awesome. Glad it helped! Appreciate it.
Thanks! My window tends to fall off the track in freezing temps. 2002 Dodge Ram
Sometimes the guides have slotted adjustment available, maybe applicable to keep the glass in line. Not certain specifically on the Ram though.
Awesome! That will save me some headaches!
🤘😎
Thanks a lot. Exactly what I needed
Awesome! Glad it helped.
Thanks!!! Quick and to the point.
Awesome 🤘😎
hey man ... what about the panel behind the door panel.. the plastic/metal piece?
Hmm. Can’t recall off hand. Would have to take a look next time have a panel off. Im guessing it’s not riveted in place so basic hardware would likely gain access to the window regulator or lock actuator if that’s what you’re after.
Thank you
@@Souplord1 Absolutely 🤙
SUPER. AWESOME. SIR. TNKS. AND. BLESSED BE
Absolutely. Thank you
Cakewalk!! You da man!
Decent! Thanks
I have roll down windows need to advise to remove clip holding window crank handle
Absolutely. There is a specialty tool available for just that. Likely find it at most any auto parts store. Basically a flat fork that slides behind the crank handle to release that clip.
What if you find there's a window crank involved..Is there a tool or procedure for removal?
There is a tool for those crank handles! It often times looks like a flat fork to slide behind the handle and push a “C” clip retainer out that keeps the handle on the crank shaft.
Hope that makes sense? Could likely search window crank tool and it would pop up.
Very helpful Preciate you
Awesome. Glad it helped!
How do I get into the inside of the door handle?? The nut feel off of mine today
Yikes. For that, you should just have to pull back the plastic liner that covers the inside of the door after the door panel is off and out of the way. To access the handle hardware, the window may need to be up or down which you should see once plastic is peeled back.
@@TunersCanvas SO yea, I heard the nut fall into the bottom of the door.. I am guessing that it might be prudent to get a new one since it will be unlikely I will find the original inside the door.
