Fernando Alonso RELEASES HIS FURY Against The FIA and Aston Martin!

  • While the front of the grid exploded in anger and frustration at Formula One’s Hungarian Grand Prix, there was also trouble further back. Aston Martin have fallen by the wayside in this season's development race, leaving Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll fighting Haas, VCARB, and Alpine for the final points scoring positions. Despite having upgrades in Hungary, Aston Martin struggled again but they weren’t helped by a decision from the FIA that Alonso described as a “gross error”. To add to the two time world champions troubles, Lance Stroll decided to ignore team orders after Fernando had followed them, stealing the final points scoring place from the Spaniard. Today, I’ll check out the massive mistake the FIA made and how Lance Stroll made an enemy of one of Formula One’s best drivers, so don’t go anywhere.

It was only a matter of time... Up until now, Alonso has been almost uncharacteristically positive about the team and his team mate, even through the multitude of failures, mostly at the hands of Stroll. Well all know, from previous seasons with other teams that he can be VERY vocal about his displeasure with how things are going, so hearing all his positive comments about Lance and the car seemed rather unusual... This has been a long time coming. The Strolls are a toxic element in F1. Other than Money, neither of them bring anything of use to the team or sport as a whole.

Hold on, and ALL the drama at Red Bull is Ph Neutral? JC, you just can't take North Americans in your sport can you? Stroll's money is the only reason why there are 3 British teams still competing in F1 period. Stroll has been investing for the long term too given the nature of his investments. If he leaves he will have left Aston in way better condition than when he took it over. This year Alonso hasn't dominated Lance at all, they are the closest racing pair of cars on the circuit next to the Ferraris. In the end Alonso was 4 seconds back to boot I wouldn't have given up the spot either. In the end Alonso is a hired gun and is not the future of Aston Martin.

Stroll has been enjoying a relationship with an unusually helpful and supportive Alonso. I think he's about to get a bit of a taste of the competitor, not the team mate. If anything this is the best thing that could happen to Alonso's season, up until now he's been left adrift, sitting comfortable in his championship position, increasingly unable to get involved in the podium battles and at times even the points battle at all, but under no real threat from the teams capable of nicking the last couple of points positions in championship terms. Now he has somebody to race. As for Stroll, I've never been a big fan but I've been quite vocal to friends and in various comments that recently he's been low key impressing me with his consistency and pace in what is evidently not a great car. Now I will be cheering on Fernando and anybody else who wants to have a pop at him. I never liked Vettel after the Webber incident, I always thought Schumacher has the legacy of being one of the sports greatest drivers and greatest arseholes thanks mostly to the treatment of his teammates. I was highly critical of Mercedes over their treatment of Bottas, although I think sometimes that stuff is justified to defend a title challenge and it dampened my enthusiasm for Hamilton and whilst I can see the argument for Norris holding on for the win, personally I would have lost a lot of respect for him and furthermore believe he was a coward for not just complying immediately and then seeing if he could take the win with no arguments to be had afterwards, which in hindsight we can all see would have been very possible. Image doesn't really matter in F1, until it does. In the future if you had the choice between taking a Lance Stroll or a different driver of roughly the same pace, which one are you going to choose? The driver who is generally well liked by the fans, or the one that is generally not approved of.

Also I'm positive he now regrets signing with AM, Lance is a joke, a spoiled brat and doesn't deserve the second seat....and this weekend further proved it.
Nothing will change at AM as long as Lawrence is the owner and Lance still has a seat there.

There is NO place in this potentially life-or-death sport for uncertainty of rule enforcement....Alonso is world class; FIA is junior league...shame on you FIA...your mishandling of situations ALL SEASON long will cost you.

    So then we'd have:
    Merc: Verstappen & Russell/Antonelli
    Red Bull: Alonso and Sainz/Russell
    McLaren: Lando and Piastri
    Ferrari: Lewis and Charles

  • @eastender74

If Stroll thought he was going to pass him anyways then it’s quite the ordeal. Because fighting against Alonso would have taken life out of his fresh tires that he could have used against Tsunoda. So Fernando did him a favor with the possibility of getting 9th. It’s a gamble Stroll accepted with possibility that he would have to drop back to 11th if it didn’t work. When it came time to pay the favor back he basically gave Fernando the finger.

Honestly the FIA of late with some of its calling is why I've started to watch F1 less and less, they past few years in IndyCar its been getting so much better than F1 with style of racing, also IndyCar not afraid to run on Ovals unlike F1 so more verity of tracks in Indy compared to F1 now. also the Indy 500 is clearly better than the Modern Monaco race as the cars are just to big to have good racing at Monaco anymore.
