I know everyone here is counting on Tiafoe not beating Sinner, but please recall that he almost bested Alcaraz at Wimbledon this year. If he plays that level of tennis, he might beat Sinner in the final.

Man, Rune just doesn't hit with any aggression or intensity until all his momentum is gone. Just punting the ball weakly back up the big middle isn't going to cut it, then trying to go big when you have no other choice is baffling. Good for Tiafoe to actually take advantage of this play style, Rune looks like he plays not to lose instead of playing to win.

I agree. It's obvious that he chose very wrong strategy at 5-3 in the 3rd set, because he just kept the ball going, expecting Tiafoe to make mistakes.
But that obviously backfired... you just can't win matches like that, cuz your opponents will get any opportunity to strike back and win.

Great victory for Tiafoe. Bit unlucky for Rune. Still Holger made his way. Nothing to be sorry about getting to Semis and coming short against a great Frances Tiafoe here.
What impressed my with Holger is his attitude development. Very professional stuff !!
watch for 2025 Rune will be there for sure. He is slowly progressing.

For those wondering what that celebration at the end meant it's simple, that dance was for all the hateful comments that were posted after his victory, also there's no rule that says you have to apologize for a net cord, many players don't raise their racquet when they do it, if Carlito did it no one out there would have said anything, was he penalized for breaking his racquet, NO.

big foe has gotten a lot of hate recently from some people because of his comments towards other players, but most pros speak very highly of him on and off the court. imo his story is super compelling and he plays with a ton of passion. i’m a holger fan but still happy to see tiafoe making it through.
his backhand is known to be one of the worst so it definitely must feel good that it excelled in the tiebreak. he was going toe to toe with holger off that wing, who has one of the best backhands on tour and is lethal in tiebreaks. seriously impressive stuff, especially considering he was down a break and also saved match points.

t has always both puzzled and annoyed me that we always first see the player who won the point. This happens almost 100% of the time when tennis matches are broadcast. On one hand, it might seem logical. But on the other hand, it's often more interesting to watch the player who lost the point, because so much frustration can be expressed. And it would at least be nice to have a bit of variation so it’s not always the same.

I think Tiafoe came to closet to beating Alcaraz at Wimbledon this year and probably would have been better if they had met in the final as it turned out. May be a good match against Sinner.

Cheers what a night to remember

Yeah sport betting is a hobby for poor people. Especialy tennis, you place your money on 1 player, he can play like god and 2 min after he can play like Zero, is impossible to surebet on the right moment, the odd change is to fast. And even if you serebet on other player, he can play like Zero after the break. Only change to win in tennis is bet on player with strong mental and check their attitude for fighting every point in grand chelem. Other tournament doesnt work to bet.😅
