The Netherlands fought a colonial war against Indonesia 1945-1948 if I'm not mistaken. However, great reaction like always, buddy stay safe PEACE ☺

There is also the interpretation that the song is about the band Rammstein, who give concerts in foreign countries for an hour or two and say a few words to the audience in the local language.
Never base your interpretation solely on the video. Because the video itself is only the director's point of view.

You are very perceptive. Yes the lyrics could be about a gigolo or possibly a rock star touring. But the video makes it about colonialism. Multiple meanings for every song.

Of course it's about sex tourism and also about cultural insensitive behavior in the visited country with the mindset that the visitor has bigger knowledge and deserve being treated as a superior. So the visuals also show behavior that reminds on colonialization. Even though I don't think they are mostly looking in the history but also in todays behavior of tourists from rich countries when they visit "poorer" countries.
Yes, that last part is what I meant. We visit the countries and get to leave afterwards.

This is not about sex tourism. This is about the colonial age with all the mishaps of its time. And yes, sex tourism is one of the things which happened there and then. But there are a lot more things that we see as judgemental now. In the video there are a lot of references to things as white supremacy, exploitism, child abuse and more. The song has a much deeper meaning than you think.
I dont think i made actual claims, just thoughts and ideas that went through my mind. And ofcourse i know there are probably more meanings to it. That is why i asked people that know more about it. Like you , so thank you for educating me.
Sorry but it is about sex tourism. And about supremecy, exploitism, all the other things you said while aswell it is about loner-type of people in every society, who can't really have a deep bond to another person. (A story you can find oftenly in Till's lyrics)
It is poetic, because you can find different meanings and messages from different perspectives in one piece of art.
