  • mikesinventions.etsy.com Things Grandpa Taught Me. Well, things they both taught me actually. I was lucky enough to spend a lot of time with both of my grandfathers and learn a lot of man things from them. My Mom's dad still continues to teach me stuff! I show you what I learned so you can pass these little tidbits on to your kids as well. How to check and fix a framing square. How to divide a board into a number of strips without doing any math. (This one blew my mind, and I bet it'll blow yours too!) How to properly drill a hole with a drill. How to use a wrench the right way. How to drive a nail without splitting the wood & then the easiest way to remove a nail. When it's time to cut something, how to choose which piece to cut. It's not obvious at first, believe me, I've had experience making this mistake. As I type this, I've already thought of a few more things I was taught, so I guess I'll have to make another video soon. I'm sure you'll find a nugget of wisdom in here somewhere.
