  • Bruichladdich Port Charlotte expression is one of my favorites when it comes to the Islay Single malt. Today I am comparing the 10 year and 18 year, I am NOT doing a standard VS video today (that wouldn't be fair). Instead, I am comparing the noses, palates, finishes, and how they were crafted and matured. Doing it this way as more of a casual comparison was really fun!

      Thank you! Yes I enjoy them so much as well. I didn't want to 'pit them' against each other because that would not be fair. But having them right next to each other was a fun experience and I think made me appreciate each one just a little more

    I don't think PC 10 is 100% ex-bourbon. Pretty sure it's 25% French wine.

      you are probably right, I recorded this as a last minute and forgot the exact maturation. Thanks for the correction 🥃

    Next do the Laphroaig 15 vs Laphroaig 18 - curious what you'd think about those two fine bottles

    Don't know if the 18 is worth the higher price, what's your thought's ?? Cheers...

      I think it is, but it depends on the actual price if you see it on the shelf. I wouldn’t pay over $180 USD for it. But for the price I got it for, which was 145 pounds. I think it’s great. Especially being able to compare and contrast them side by side you can really see how the 18 is sooo good, cheers!

      145 pounds is over $180. 😬

    Question.... would u recommend the classic laddie?

    • @glencairngamer
      @glencairngamer  3 месяца назад +2

      I would! It is unpeated and a great entry into Islay and scotch. However, since you are a bourbon guy I’m not sure you would enjoy it especially at the ~$65 price point. But I also think that’s cheap enough to take a chance on

      It was recommended by a fellow bourbon lover. I figured I'd ask you first. I'll have to check it out then. Cheers🥃

      That’s good, if a bourbon lover can see the light then I’m sure you could too! Let me know if you get it!
