Because of scammers everyone looses out in my book. I never give a penny to anyone anymore and have not done so for years. I would rather burn a £10.00 note than give it away to someone who is either scamming, using it for drugs, alcohol etc.
Nowadays there are so many agencies and organizations with tons of free resources, food, beds, and money that are just waiting for those in need to tap into and utilize. Anyone not taking advantage of what's available to them and chooses to stand or sit on the street begging for cash is clearly in it for the money to use for whatever else they desire. It's not a "true need".
Yeah this makes it really bad for people that are really are homeless and people that really do need money scam artists like this is is very common in New York mostly and it's very sad that a lot of people are taking other people for granted
Scammers sure are frustrating individuals. If you need money bad enough ask close friends or relatives, or just earn it honestly by getting some work done. Why be dishonest about it?

The man is nice but then another man would say the other man should sue. And the driver gives you money and his watch.,
I'm from Philippines, I don't give alms to beggars willy nilly. I know some of them work like a syndicate, so I am very careful around them. However I have soft spots to elderly, so at the end I give at least a thousand peso. It's not a life changing money, but a thousand is a week worth of grocery... if they do grocery that is.
