I am from Saudi Arabia. To correct the information, there is no execution in Saudi Arabia for minor cases such as theft, robbery, or even small drug dealers. The death penalty for treason cases and cases of major drug dealers or drug smugglers are rarely executed. Most of the execution cases are murders between some tribes, and the government cannot waive anything except the public right, and the death penalty is a private right. If the family of the murdered person waives it, the government is satisfied with imprisonment for what is called the public right, the right of the state.
