On April 8th at 11 am, I took this video during commuting time. Unfortunately, Japanese government would not hit pause on the economy. So we have to work outside everyday. Teleworking? No way... I will shoot a video during commuting time or homecoming time when I have a time and then show you how the city is changing.
So many memories came with your video. You went in front of Tamtam hobby shop, my favorite hobby shop in the world and rode exactly where I walked my last steps in Tokyo before leaving. Thank you.
Thank you for continuing to share insightful footage of what is happening in Tokyo! Here in the US we've been under shutdown (Shelter in Place) since March 19th.
From California, I have always enjoyed and appreciated your videos. Please stay safe and healthy. I'm looking forward to seeing more of Japan through your camera in the future. Arigatou gozaimashita!
Amazing video coverage. I was dreaming of visiting Japan and you have made it easy for people who want to visit Japan in the coming days. Stay safe and take care. This too will pass nothing is constant good days will be back.
Nice to see this while working from home. Base (Yokota) here is pretty much no one can leave except to/from work. It's a 3-day weekend so watch videos like this and just chillin' with the family.
3:10 What happened to the AKB48 Cafe? Did the virus deliver the death blow, or did it close up shop long before the virus arrived? Or did they move it to another location?
Never mind. I just read from SoraNews24 that they closed at the end of December, after 8 years; and word has it that the Gundam Cafe next door wants to take over that spot.
Stay safe. I always watch your videos. Missing Japan already, my happy place. Just been there a month and half ago. Hope to be back as soon as the pandemic dies down.
Nice to see a Japanese flyer, but what does it means? at 59:00 I don't understand Japanese characters. Nice video as usual. Greeting from Las Vegas Nevada USA be safe take care.
If you were to make a similar video in a city in the UK right now you would see less than a 100 people in total for the duration of this video. The city streets are eerily quiet.
Doesn't look like particularly a state of emergency even if it's not under lockdown. There are perhaps less, but still pretty many people out there, when comparing with other places outside Japan. Quite surprising.
Tokyo pedestrians may seem low / lower to you folks. But in 20 years of walking around some suburbs of America and some downtown cities....you will never see as much as you saw in this Tokyo video. (excluding stadium and major events of American cities)
People walk around the city, partly because of the government has not declared "Closed city". From another point of view, it's like a social experiment of what such people bring to Tokyo. As a Tokyo person, this is so sad thing but "Stay tuned!"😪
Walking that fast without huffing and puffing. How I missed being skinny. Back in high school missed that walking performance so much that I dropped 50 to 80 pounds easily. Must start again.
If you dropped a time traveller from 1980 on those streets he would really feel like he's in some crazy future. Everyone walking around in face masks and looking down at some strange rectangular gadget in their hands!
I think it looks so much better without all those people .hope you have a mask on ..I hope you don't get sick... I guess a lot of people in Japan think they're invincible..
Wow. Never, ever seen アキバ like this. This was my stomping ground in 1965 when I was in DoD elementary school on base (outside Tokyo). Brace yourself - this mess will decimate most peoples’ jobs, business, gigs, you name it, in Japan within the next 6 months. If you teach English at any capacity, you need to seriously consider going back to your country, asap. Gaijins have the least leverage in Japan, especially in a wicked scenario like now.
Please stop working salarymans! You re typical maniac worker, dont do overwork. Please work from home, use your time to get your partner then do marry until having kids for increasing young people in japan. Very Shame to have elderely everywhere.
When the Japanese imperialists were vaporized at Hiroshima and Nagasaki, they did not have a sense of crisis neither.

It's a bike ride. I commute to work by bike.
Please, be safe. Thanks for your work.
Thank you very much! Hope you'll stay safe :)

Quality of these videos are so good! Hope everyone's fine there. Thanks for sharing this video of Japan

Loving the high end graphics! Lol..
Very crisp and crystal clear
What a great video. So clear ! It brings to my memory back in 2016 when I stayed at REMM hotel next to Akihabara station. Missed Akihabara..
Beautiful ride! Big thanks from New York.

Ah, stopping by the Gundam Cafe. A true man of culture, I see.
Offf! Tokyo is an ultra modern & lovely city.
Great Video! Thanks for sharing! Be safe with all this virus stuff going on.
The first five minutes was a nice trip down memory lane for me from when I was stationed in Japan about two years ago. Miss being there.

Akihabara looks inviting when theres less people and noise. As well cycling actually looks enjoyable instead of dangerous!
Thanks for sharing these. I live in outer western Tokyo and am curious to see what the streets are like in the 23区。
Plz be careful! Love from Japan.
Love your videos, stay safe!

It says "Temporarily closed to prevent the spread of the infectious disease".
Wow, I’ve never seen Akiba like this before..
The only thing you can feel is that the tourists are gone which is why traffic volume is really down. The locals are still working
Its beautiful i hope to go there someday
great content
Oh no, what on earth happened with that person at 33:04? did they think you rode over the bird or something?
Mind the pigeon!!! 33:00 LOL
It is interesting how each person has it's own way of walking in Japan
If you were to make a similar video in a city in the UK right now you would see less than a 100 people in total for the duration of this video.

I really like this place 😃😃 perfect for a place to eat and relax 👍👍 thank you for sharing 🙂🤖🚲 📷

Buen video...
Tokyo pedestrians may seem low / lower to you folks. But in 20 years of walking around some suburbs of America and some downtown cities....you will never see as much as you saw in this Tokyo video. (excluding stadium and major events of American cities)
It only looks a little less busy than normal at first. lol
Wow, been going to Japan since 2007 and have never seen Akiba so empty. Kinda sad to see the AKB48 cafe closed up.
People walk around the city, partly because of the government has not declared "Closed city". From another point of view, it's like a social experiment of what such people bring to Tokyo.
As a Tokyo person, this is so sad thing but "Stay tuned!"😪
Where's the AKB48 Cafe? Its supposed to be sided with gundam cafe, if i correct.
Yes, but AKB cafe shut down last year.
Despite of grim state of affairs Japan is still looking sunny and attractive. I miss Tokyo so much!!....
What kind of camera is this? How does it come, that there is absolutely no wobble?
Gopro
You work on TV?
Hola.

Not electric.

Citizens have evacuated to the shelter because the apostle has attacked on this day.
I would grammar check your video notes. It is close but still not correct.
When the Japanese imperialists were vaporized at Hiroshima and Nagasaki, they did not have a sense of crisis neither.
Dont walk so fast its hard to enjoy the video !! I am gonna unsubscribe from this channel !!
