I have a lot of time for Dyer, great servant to Newcastle, whether he knows it or not. His partnership with Craig Bellamy was possibly the most devastating pairing at Newcastle for a decade.
Remember seeing how great Kieron was at Ipswich and was delighted Newcastle signed him! Great to hear him speaking now, and interesting hearing about Ruud's power trip! Dyer was absolutely class for us under Sir Bobby, just gutted he had so many injuries. Remember Dyer, Solano, Speed, Robert, Bellamy, and Shearer - what a front six!
Loved Gullit the player. Terrible manager wherever he went it seemed. He was pretty much the alpha player wherever he went. That approach failed him in management
Gullit most complete footballer of all time in my opinion. And what I mean by that is, he operated at the very top, with the very best, in 3-4 different positions. Would jog through games of football if he played today at his peak.
I never seen much of Gullit but I know this guy is a player that transcends all eras. Look at his physique. He would be just as world class in today's football. I cannot say the same for majority of the players of his era. For example greats like Beckenbaur and Cryuff; I honestly think their names are bigger than their actual ability.
@supermancd1988 You could put him in any outfield position to fit him into an all time XI. He was that good. Being key in winning 3 scudetti, and back to back european cups for Milan, as well as the european championships in a time when international football was the top level is testament to that.

Dyer in that Arsenal squad would have been very interesting. That team was built on pace, athleticism and technical ability. Three things Dyer had in spades before the injuries got him. Wenger could have done a great job with him.
Fair play to Dyer. Seems like a top bloke & has matured & learnt life lessons. Remember him scoring a hat-trick v Oxford Utd while at Ipswich. He thought he was letting them in on a secret that only some strikers knew 😂 He said to them "Guys let me tell you how to score almost every time.
