I love the Tamiyas. I have a Highlift F350 myself, my pride and joy. I think I might build The Frog next. You have some of the best videos I've seen when it comes to rcing. The camera work and your choice of music is spot on. Keep up the good work. You inspire me as much as my love for the Tamiya lineup does.
Your videos show hop up piggy back shocks actually installed Agrios! Many RC RUclipsrs don’t put them because the shocks are too expensive. But they are really beautiful 🎉 Thanks for sharing your rc!
Thank you for the nice comment, I appreciate it and I am glad to inspire other Tamiya enthusiasts! The Frog was my very first RC, back in the 80's! I loved it!
That thing is an animal cant wait to see it running. First time I've heard you talking cool accent matey. Gotta love the internet. Watching and communicating to peeps all over the globe awsome or what!
I really enjoy your videos. Looking forward to seeing this run. I have an Agrios sitting NIB and it'll definitely be a winter project. Just need to finish up my Bruiser. I subscribed to you, so I'm now waiting for the running video.
Yes, TXT-1 wheels fits without modifications on the TXT-2. I do not glue the tires, because the Tamiya manual says: "Do not glue the tires", but I don't know why!
Awesome set-up Matteo, and thanks so much for the instructional video. One question: do you feel the stock oil shocks would have been enough, or were the modified reservoir shocks necessary? Even though I plan on putting the larger tires on my truck (as you did), I just don't want the set-up to be too stiff; I kind of think it would be cool to get some suspension travel on larger jumps. What are your thoughts on this? Thanks!
I already have a couple of Clod Busters original and the second will be Hop Up project. I can hardly wait for the TXT-2 to arrive but I'm considering only small upgrades over stock at first as I'm working on a budget in the way of a full set of bearings and the Clod tires and rims since I have an extra set I need to find the sweet spot one (1) motor or Two (2) Brushless or Brushed 540s or 550s it looks to be quite the adventure
Firstly Matteo, your videos are the best in the business and I am certain they are inspiring a lot of people to either get building or others to get building again! Cudos to you! I have watched most of them and have been in the hobby for 30 years! My question: Would recommend brushless or stick with brushed (even maybe 2 x Sport Tuned motors?) I like a lot of power, so assume that brushless is a good way to go, but I have 3s Lipo in my original Clod Buster and it goes very well! Thanks again, and keep the videos coming.
Thanks a lot for your nice comment! I really appreciate your good words! Yes, I think you can go with brushed, with 3s lipo it will go very fast. I think 3s with brushless would be too much.
:) Nothing wrong with your English except a few pronunciations, I can understand you perfectly well :D Katon Aargau, that's miles from me, pity, we could have done some RC trails together. Anyway, keep up the great work! :)
Matteo, Just a quick question, given the similarity between the TXT-1 & 2 chassis, would the mods you have made to your TXT-2 work with the TXT-1? Only asking as i'm keen to upgrade my 1, (alot)..Oh and keep the vids rolling, very inspirational :)
Hey Matteo, great video, really enjoyed it. Excited to see a running video with the setup :D If you don't mind me asking, in which Kanton do you live, I'm just curious as you have a cool accent :)
Another brilliant informative video Matteo. I just bought a Agrios, just need radio gear, off a local trading site for under $200.00 New Zealand dollars. Im going to be doing the same tire wheel change as you, but looking at internal spring shocks for for a scale Monster Truck look. Any info on where to find those would be much appreciated. Love your other Agrios vids too. Amazingly brilliant.
Parfait! Bruiser? Highlift?
Awesome the looks so much more scale now! Did you glue the tires? I just built a clod and I had some trouble gluing mine. You are making me want a txt-2! Do the txt-1 wheels just hook up to the txt2 without modification? Anyway I love your truck so cool! I am really looking forward to the running video!
those aluminium dampers are very nice, the wheels and tyres are a big improvement over the originals. did you do anything to the gearbox? does it take the power ok?
Hi Matteo, first of all great job with the videos, they are the best on youtube for rc! after watching your agrios txt-2 videos I purchased one and a set of clodbuster wheels, however when I assemble and tested it, seems lke the servo savers are too weak to steer the wheels, can I ask what servos you used and if you replaced the servo savers? Thanks!
Excuse mon francais mal!
Hello Matteo, I love your channel by the way! I am wondering if you needed to modify anything to mount the TXT-1 wheels? Or do they mount directly on without any modifications? Believe it or not, I just bought a TXT-2 Agrios still in the box and unassembled, for a pretty penny. 😅 What I am not too keen on are the undersized wheels and tires, which do not give it a monster truck look. Your mods are magnificent, and although this is an old upload of yours, I am hoping you will still give me some pointers. 🎉
tamiya has never made a good performing monster truck in stock form. when u look at the cost to get tamiya models to perform, you realize they are for rich people
oh,its a jugg 2 gearbox?will you be using steel pinions?them alloy ones wont last long with that power.what part numbers are them piggy back shocks. nice truck by the way
michael whitham Don't know about the jugg gearbox. The shocks are part no. 54472 www.tamiyausa.com/items/radio-control-parts-70/tamiya-hop-up-parts-72000/rc-txt-2-alum-damper-54472
He is right it is a Jugg 2 gearbox, same as the jug one and mammot dump truck but the jug 2 and txt-1 and 2 version of the box uses an upgraded final drive gear with a larger hex drive in the center and an aluminum hex nut that has a splined center hole for the dual output shaft which is a 6mm output shaft with dual flats cut into it for twin grub screws on the drive shafts instead of the weaker 5mm D shaft on the jug 1 and mammot which had only one grub screw, this upgrade followed into the axles which also use a 6mm input with the twin flats in the shaft.
I love the Tamiyas. I have a Highlift F350 myself, my pride and joy. I think I might build The Frog next. You have some of the best videos I've seen when it comes to rcing. Many RC RUclipsrs don’t put them because the shocks are too expensive.
But they are really beautiful 🎉
Thanks for sharing your rc!
such is the consistent quality of your videos that i didn’t realize this was from 10 years ago 😅
It looks so much better with those wheels and tires! I can't wait to see the running video.
Thank you for the nice comment, I appreciate it and I am glad to inspire other Tamiya enthusiasts! The Frog was my very first RC, back in the 80's! I loved it!
I expect that this is so powerful and this expensive damper and big tire are great looking. Really looking forward to it!
That thing is an animal cant wait to see it running. First time I've heard you talking cool accent matey. Gotta love the internet. Watching and communicating to peeps all over the globe awsome or what!
Really a very good explanation. Excellent materials used, and the fantastic result!
Me too! Thanks for your comments!
truly well built and a lot of investment into this truck.
It is a nice winter project! Thanks for the comment and sub!
Thank you, it's a honor for me to hear that!
Wow !!! Now it looks like a proper monster truck !!!
Fantastic, it really is a beautiful monster truck, explanations are perfect.
sator rotas Nice feedback, thank you!
Wow such a detailed step by step video ! Great job !
This is an amazing setup, very good work!
+kevin jiannotti Thank you!
Thanks Ingis! In the manual from Tamiya it's written "do not glue the tires" but I don't know why!
I did the same with my Hpi E-savage last winter. Works very good, looking forward to see it running :-)
Thank you, glad you like it!
I did nothing with the gearbox, I think it will be o.k. I use only 2s lipos.
Thank you for your comment, glad you like it!
Hi,
Thanks for all the info! These shocks are going to fit on my Tamiy TXT1!
Going to order a set of these shocks. They look awesome!
Wow! I'd call that a MONSTER UPGRADE.
Thanks Tomas! 👍😊
Awesome build cant wait to see the run video.
Yes, much more "Monster", thanks for your comment!
Salutations, Matteo
A+ as always. Can't wait to see it run. Great work, thanks for sharing!
Great job on the modifications to your Agrios, Matteo! That is what the Agrios should look like. It just looks wimpy with those narrow stock tires.
James Gegner Thank you James! Fortunately we can get the parts for it!
I really enjoy your videos. Looking forward to seeing this run. I have an Agrios sitting NIB and it'll definitely be a winter project. Just need to finish up my Bruiser. I subscribed to you, so I'm now waiting for the running video.
So soon as possible, only a short test run video.
Thank you for the good comment!
Hi Thomas, I am glad you enjoyed it! I live in Kanton Aargau in Aarau, my daughter always laugh at me, because of my bad english!
Looks Awesome!
Great Work!
Can't wait to see the running video.
Asplenia.
Yes, TXT-1 wheels fits without modifications on the TXT-2. I do not glue the tires, because the Tamiya manual says: "Do not glue the tires", but I don't know why!
Interested to see how the truck holds up to twin brushless power.
I will be interesting to see how the truck holds up to the extra power and bashing. Please hammer down on it. :)
Good comment, thank you!
Really good vid, cant wait to see this beast running
Thank you, yes, the monster looking much bigger now!
Awesome set-up Matteo, and thanks so much for the instructional video. One question: do you feel the stock oil shocks would have been enough, or were the modified reservoir shocks necessary? Great modification vid, looks great. Thumbs up.
Awesome upgrades 👍👍👊👊📹📹
Thanks! 😊
Powerrrrrrr! Sieht interessant aus, freu mich schon aufs Runningvideo. Sehr schönes Tutorial!
Yes the Internet is a cool thing, let melt the world to a small place...
Thanks for your nice comment!
Thank you Kaza!

Tolles Video!
Wow, now that's badass truck
:) Nothing wrong with your English except a few pronunciations, I can understand you perfectly well :D
Katon Aargau, that's miles from me, pity, we could have done some RC trails together.
Anyway, keep up the great work! :)
Thanks!

Merci beaucoup! Oui, le MT4 c'est aussi super!
Test run video coming soon!
Hi great build vid.. Can I ask what size pinion you used?.. Thanks
I used the stock pinions from the kit, it's 19 toth.
Basically it should work. I don't know the TXT-1, so I don't know the length of the shocks. The motor setup should be fit without problems!
amazing upgrades Matteo. that thing is a BEAST!!! =]
Thank you!
Hey Matteo, great video, really enjoyed it. Excited to see a running video with the setup :D If you don't mind me asking, in which Kanton do you live, I'm just curious as you have a cool accent :)

***** Thanks for your good comment! Good idea with the internal springs, but I think hard to find because of the size.
Holy Moly, that looks Beefy!! Great video, Thanks!
I love Tamiya!
That is going to be epic, you thought about connecting both switch's into one switch.
Thanks!
+Mark Ellul You can replace the servo savers, but have to use strong servos such as high torque (Futaba S3305)
Thank you Tybo, hope the beast can bite!
I have that same tube of grease now.
Ohne Einlagen.
Nice :-) . I hope you remembered to glue the tires ;-)
Awesome mods good job
It gona be wicked needs real monster truck body to do that BEAST justice.
Real Monstertrucks have many differnt bodies, check out Bigfoot 18 body:

Vielen Dank, versuche mein Bestes!
When will u testing??
Its not only plastic, many parts are black anodized metal, and sometimes plastic its not a bad choice...
Damn it Matteo ... you are determined for me to spend all my money aren't you! :p another excellent video :)
Just Me Sorry, I don't want to you become homeless! Be careful!
Cool truck. Do those Clodbuster wheels fit directly onto the TXT-2?
Yes, these fits directly!
Damn thats some expensive parts! Are all tamiya parts still made in japan?
Not all. They have a factory in the Philippines also.
Very nice!
Vielen Dank!
WTF 2 Brushless-Motoren?!?! Cool! :D :D :D

That looks awesome like Tamiya should have made it just need the txt1 body now
Thanks!
Matteo, Are those shock the same as the Gmade shocks?
92040tony No, these shocks are from Tamiya
www.tamiyausa.com/items/radio-control-parts-70/tamiya-hop-up-parts-72000/rc-txt-2-alum-damper-54472
They look as though they are a copy or very similar in design. Nice truck! I have a TXT-1 still in the box I bought 13yrs ago.
Great video. In stock form, is this the best performing monster truck that Tamiya has ever made?
tamiya has never made a good performing monster truck in stock form. when u look at the cost to get tamiya models to perform, you realize they are for rich people
Does Tamiya give you all that stuff? Bc you have a channel with lots of followers?
No, I have to buy them, but with discount from our distributor.
RC kicks just got this car and this car and his wife is got to build it.
Hope his wife is a good builder! 😊👍
@@Matteomeier from what I have seen she is.
HOW LONG ARE THEY THE SHOCKS
im getting one off these trucks today
Cool! Have fun!
Nice!!
