Very helpful video, Leon! When stopping alcohol, it's important to be mindful of several factors that can help prevent relapse. Here are some things to avoid: 1. Avoid places or events where drinking is a primary activity and limit contact with friends who drink excessively. 2.Try to avoid situations that cause significant stress, as they can lead to cravings. 3. Avoid being alone for extended periods; engage with supportive friends or groups. 4. Avoid negative thoughts of past mistakes; focus on your progress and future. 5. Accept that recovery is a journey with ups and downs; don’t pressure yourself to be perfect. 6. Don’t think you’re “cured” after a period of sobriety; stay vigilant to potential triggers. 7. Try not to neglect your physical and mental health; maintain a balanced diet, exercise regularly, and get enough sleep. 8. Keep yourself busy with an activity that makes you feel good. 9. Lean on close sober friends and family for support. 10. Consult a healthcare professional for a treatment plan and seek medical advice.
I am almost a year alcohol free.🎉 thank you for your videos. My husband also fillowed suit. I have 9 amazing kids...my oldest will go to college next year. I am teaching them to never touch it. But, what do I tell them to do when they are pressured or feel out of place at college. I have educated them on all the health things. I'm so worried. I fear they will be addicts. Bc we live in a world that thrives on alcohol and pot.

There is not a single thing good about it .
Talk about driver license reinstatement programs and things like AA program circles around each other like cat chasing a mouse.
