- Join me as I am preparing to move into my new home on wheels. I prepare my truck by removing the backseats of my Ford F-150 and build a platform to turn the backseat of my truck into a garage for all of my gear. My dad and I install rear airbags and sway bar, and remove the camper shell off my truck. Erica and I drive to Illinois to pick up my new home, a Lance 650 truck camper.

Last week me and my son (34) drove the New Mexico Backcountry Discovery Route. One of the things we talked about is what does a park ranger do? We came to the conclusion that they ride around in state park trucks and chill all day. We had a big laugh but we know we're wrong. Park rangers are greatness. Bring on the JOHNNY RANGER videos !!

I’m just very surprised that an F-150 is able to carried a pickup camper?😳. Most of the people would have used at least the 250 or 350. Good luck to you both, I’m glad everything is working out ok.
Lance designed the 650 specifically for an f150 or 1/2 ton trucks. There are many truck campers designed for a 1/2 ton truck, but I will explain why I chose the Lance 650 over others in a future video! My f150 handles the camper very well!

Agreed. Not sure how this truck is not loaded above its GVWR.
@@shawnprice6100it is over the GVWR. I looked at this same camper it’s not a 1/2 ton truck camper. He did say he beefed up the suspension. But, that doesn’t change the GVWR.

new windows are laminated glass, so it is cracked, they don't shatter like old glass windows
Curious as I have the same truck and my max payload is 2200. What is the dry weight of the Lance? Also, what is your max payload listed on the door?
