Hi Luke. Still very excited to soon be getting my Moonlander. I was thinking the same thing someone else mentioned. Bug netting when the back hatch is up would be a great idea.
Are there barn doors that go down to the floor of the truck bed? Do you provide materials to “seal” the camper area from dust? Is there insulation kits available for the camper, and the bed of the truck?
I’ve been in contact with Freddy. As soon as the Radica’s website configurator opens on the Moonlander X, I’m placing the deposit. Best, Hugo. Congrats on your success!
Couch mode is sweet. One suggestion would be to have an escape hatch on the roof to climb out or stand up fully from inside. Kind of like a sunroof in a car.
Hi Luke, LB #2 here. Nice move with the height extension and cabover storage. Love what you did carpeting the top of the bed panels. Helps with the insulation and condensation. Perhaps you could offer diesel heater hose connections somewhere on the wall side and perhaps unistrut style strips or T-tracks on the sides for attaching items. Got out a bunch this summer with my "old" ML. Loving it more each trip out. Using the extension areas of each side for storage shelves but unistrut would have been handy as would the extended height. I could use the extra 25w panel as well.
Luke, awesome addition to the radica line. Have you considered organizing a Radica camping event for all moonlander owners? Would be great to see liked minded dwellers and exchange ideas.
Luke, I am totally I love with my Moonlander, but WOW what a difference that cabover storage makes! Fantastic idea! And, I am 6 ft 6, and sleep well in mine.
How about split low profile drawer slides in the cab over ? That way you can still fit the mattress pad and the bed panels on the slides to stow them , while also making the cab over storage more easily accessible
Love the Moonlander!!! Thanks for sharing. Do the bed panels have pre cut holes or strips of missing metal for ventilation/mattress moisture issues? Thanx again
I remember our conversations about this, and I know I wasn’t the only one 😆 Super excited for this. I was going to wait until this June, so I’m glad you were able to get it designed in time! I’m going to be putting it on a ‘24 Ram 1500 Warlock with a 6’4” bed. So stoked.
This is awesome , I’ve been looking for a shell that will work with my 40gal aux tank w toolbox in bed and sets even with bed ! So even in couch mode this will work ! Love it ! Also can store my 35 spare up top instead of bed ! 04 Duramax 2500 HD lifted
Can you still do the "couch mode" if you opt for the unequal bed platforms (one wider than the other)? I think you have a pretty good product but to me, the biggest weakness of your products is lack of an insulation option. I am sure some of us do not want to dyi and experiment/spend our time. We also don't want an independent shop to experiment on the topper trying to insulate it for us at our expense. I would want a factory designed, engineered, tested, and installed insulation. I have read other comments in your other videos asking about insulation. In my opinion, you really should put your energy to that.
Is it akward closing everything up to go to sleep at night? Reaching down pulling your tail gate up and trying to pull down the moonlander door. I would like to see videos of it closed up or half closed, like just the tail gate. I assume the moon lander can be opened from the inside?
...and also some commented about swing doors/ barn doors. I like that idea too but afraid of a strong wind taking the door away. Question, with the side of the pod extended out like it is, is there a way to latch down these swing doors so that don't go flying in the wind
We esnure all of our MoonLanders are trail ready before we install them. The only issue we could forsee with dust is the holes that are in the truckbed themselves. You can always get a BedRug installed to help negate dust entering from those cracks in the truck bed.
@@radicaproductsI had to seal my tailgate, carpeted the gate itself with a bit of carpeting extended to better seal the bottom hinge area. Virtually eliminating about 90-95% of the dust entering
Love this! Simplicity but well thought out, don’t have to remove for dirt bikes! 🎉 Saw Maverick is listed with an “*” on your fit list… but can’t find what the asterisk means… will it fit? 😬
Expect a 2-3 hit on your MPG. You'll have to get it installed by either us in Denver Colorado, or either of our vendor shops on the West and East coast. Email info@radicaproducts.com for any questions.
We currently only offer the options listed on our website. Custom work can disrupt our production line and affect installation timelines for other customers.
Unfortunately that won’t work. You can get an aftermarket camera on the tailgate though. You can see through the camper with front and back windows as well.
Beautiful! I’ve bin looking at lightweight truck campers for some time. This thing has changed my mind! All I need is a couch and bed everything else I can do outside. Thinking cedar siding inside and a wood stove ! Be like a mobile cabin. Couple questions. Wonder how hard it would be to drive across the boarder with one ? I’m in Canada. And what are all the options ? I don’t think they are on the web site yet? One in the video seemed like a full load. What’s the cost of the one ? And I guess the wider option
Great to hear! We’ve had many customers drive down from Canada and cross back over the border without any issues. You can find all of our options listed on our website at www.radicaproducts.com, and if you need more detailed information, feel free to email us at info@radicaproducts.com.
We are currently working on getting a builder for MoonLander X. You can still place a deposit to reserve your spot in line. We will help you through to process to help build yours out.
This version will stay the same size, but maybe we will have a bigger model in the future. Sign up for our newsletter to stay updated on all the Radica news.
@@radicaproducts ill wait for that , just don't make it to tall , so it looks slicker than other campers and better aerodynamics for long driving trips. Grate product !

Okay. This pisses me off! Now I want to abandon my AWD Chevy van and get a tundra with a moon lander. Is there a pass through from the cab? Maybe I don’t want to go outside to get inside.
