Matis is the definition of cool and laid back. Dude doesn’t seem to be caught up in high dollar brands, just wear whatever is comfortable and off the rack and have a good time vibing. So crazy to see him today compared to when he was all over the radio back in the good ol days.

I was at a performance in Perth, WA many many years ago, I heard this and all the others songs that were new at the time and it’s so cool to have watched such a mellowing, changing, maturing, growing, and non-stop improving of this man over the years. I tell you Perth was not ready for him though back then, I don’t think it was a great crowd 🫤 but I loved it so much.
I've seen Aaron perform with Matis multiple times. The best show ever was just Matis and Aaron at a small venue in Sonoma. Both of them are insanely talented

I have to admit this was fine I guess but what a difference from the prime time!(youth,Stubb's) it was a little sad for me to see though really. It kind of seems like it's coming from a "darker" type of place instead of the "praise him" excited energy.
Faith evolves, tempers, and changes with us, I suppose. I don't know that the same excited energy would have come off genuinely, but I hear what you're saying.
I agree with you. I'm praying for him. I want him to get back to a place where he's excited for God - full of faith and hunger for more. I'm a Christian who has always appreciated the power of the Tanak and the Hebrew roots of my faith. I loved Matisyahu's real heart for God. He's definitely changed over time, and that's life. But I'm praying He comes back to His Creator. I think of the verse in Ecclesiastes 12 which says, "Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years approach when you will say, “I have no pleasure in them”;"
