I studied classical guitar in college about 30 years ago. I never could quite get use to using my thumb and I always liked having a pick handy so I could do fast alternated single note picking. I decided to just do it my way so I developed this hybrid picking method. Now I play everything this way.
Nice do you prefer the skinny neck vs the wide neck? And how does the neck feel? I've bought a silent Guitar before but sold it because it just felt so hard and plasticky compared to my classical guitar.
jasontakaki I would say the fretboard is wide like most classical guitars but the neck is thinner than a normal classical. I like it better. For me, it feels more playable and steadier to play. I gues I’d call it a more modern shape. If your use to a fat classical neck, you may not like the neck on the Yamaha.
I liked this
Thank you!
zarpado!
I ordered one of those Yamahas from Sweetwater a few days ago. Should arrive this afternoon. Would be great if I could get your sound out of it.
Thank you! I hope you enjoy it!
I think it be harder to play with a pick. Very nice.
I've never seen anybody play that with a pick before. That worked well.

@@theboyjames3065 Thank You!
I just broke a string for the first time on my Yamaha NTX1 and need a reserve set. What strings do you use on yours?

@@skinnywebb thanks! Yeah I actually want something like this, not too wide, but not too thin as Nylon strings are thicker than steel/nickle
Really nice playing!
Thank you so much!
