Awesome video! I’m very proud to be a weekly donor for 1361’s restoration! The locomotive’s tender recently received a fresh coat of Dark Green Locomotive Enamel paint about 2 months ago.
Solid video as always - I always manage to learn new things from your vids, I had no idea 1361 kicked the bucket like *that*. My club has a representation of Horseshoe Curve, and due to the era it's set in, it also has a 1361 stuffed and mounted in the middle.
Once she’s restored again, I wonder if she could run at Strasburg? 611 gets to run there, so why not 1361? Imagine if both of them were there at the same time!
I strongly suspect the opportunity to bring both surviving K4s together is too tempting to pass up. Beyond that I'm pretty sure it's just a matter of the RMM and Strasburg working out the details on how to split ticket revenue and whatnot.
The Railroaders Memorial Museum has great communication and dialogue with multiple short lines and tourist railroads in and outside of Pennsylvania. Western Maryland Scenic Railroad has expressed interest in having 1361 visiting Cumberland, Maryland.
Very nice. Can you also tell the story about T1 5055 and how the men are still working on the engine piece by piece? It may be a longest while before it’s complete.
It's a Roundhouse model from about 2008 or so that the railroad sold in what was then their hobby shop. They haven't carried them for years but they crop up now and then on Ebay. They tend to go for between $80 and $120 each now.
And the T1 no.5550 is coming back from the scrapped rebuilding the Pennsylvania railroad T1 no.5550 engine Boiler fully rebuild as Brand new steam locomotive now there working on the wheel frame construction on April 22 2024 on the RUclips channel called the T1 trust of the 5550 working on the wheel frame construction right now. 🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃
I am glad the algorithm brought me here! This channel is so underrated!

Is this the Bachman spectrum model?
Yes it is, with just a touch of black paint to make the axles match the driving wheels and the like.
