Hello all, I need to let you all know about something that I need to do, and it will require me to take a little bit of a break from the channel. However, there will still be some new videos during this time. All the details are in the video itself. I thank you for your understanding, and I will be back at it once I get a couple things straightened out.
‘The Piker’ - A Tiny Train Car in HO Scale
Просмотров 3,8 тыс.21 день назад
Back in the 1960s, the Walthers company put out a kit for a tiny heavyweight sleeping car that would become the stuff of model railroad legend. The 'Piker' kit was a low cost and rather fanciful kit, but its diminutive size has cemented its place in model lore. It may not have all the space of a full size Pullman car, but it is indeed a neat item for your 1/87th scale passenger trains. Let's ta...

A Man and his Machine - George Hart and the 972
Просмотров 14 тыс.Месяц назад
A rusted locomotive sits in the back of the Strasburg Railroad's yards today, but the stories this locomotive and her long time owner could once have told are limitless. George Hart was a major player in the Pennsylvania steam railroading scene for many years, but he seems to be forgotten by many today. He ran is former Canadian Pacific D10 class 4-6-0 #972 all over the commonwealth of Pennsylv...

Lessons from The Excavator - The Strasburg Railroad and Rail Safety
Просмотров 18 тыс.2 месяца назад
November 2nd 2022 started off as any other day on the Road to Paradise had, but it certainly didn't end like a normal day. Using Trainz Railroad Simulator 2019, I take a look at what transpired between locomotive 475 and an excavator. I also look at what lessons should be taken from this incident, for any railroad. If there is any one point to be taken from this video, it is intended to be this...
Big Boy - Why a Common Model is Special to Me
Просмотров 2 тыс.2 месяца назад
Among my HO scale model trains is a model of a large locomotive that many other modelers have also added to their collections. The Union Pacific Big Boy is a well loved, but also a well collected model. I have one, but despite the locomotive being rather common in the model railroad world, it's still special to me. In this video essay, I will briefly tell the story of why this west coast locomo...

Today We're going to take a look at a hypothetical scenario. What is 2816 has been restored to running condition by Steamtown? She would have missed out on a lot, yes, but what would it have...

The Story of K4 1361's Brief 1980s Revival in HO Scale
These are indeed the fairest maids you will ever see in Lancaster County. They indeed have the smile like a rose in June. My personal choice is...90, the fairest maid of them all. It was late July in 2019 when the fairest engine past me by.
The AMTRAK slander is the best. I saw big boy hauling that train lol
Multitrack drifting!!!
Chanson spin off series called Tequila and moonshine
I love the reference to Gabriel Iglesias in Steve Irvan!
I couldnt get over how oddly malformed 90's marker lights were. I honestly thought it looked like droopy eyes of someone being tired
I've seen that exact same steam locomotive up close in person and she's a beauty
DB means Deutsche Bahn i know that because im german
A very nice video and layout. I plan on modeling the Pennsy in the postwar period for my HO scale layout, though I don't think mine will be quite as large or detailed as this.
I remember wanting one of these for a while. But I have learned they are incredibly unreliable. My friend had one and we both worked on it gutting it and replacing the Decoder and wiring it better. We also ditched the smoke unit and put weight up front to add pulling power. Now it runs well but it took a ton of work. These days never buy one of these for more then 300 bucks usd or 400 cad. A local hobby shop has them at MSRP as new old stock......I keep telling the owner they will never sell. Lol.
5:19 …uh L1…WHY ARE YOU CONSUMING STRAIGHT CRISCO?!?! Edit: spelling mistakes fixed also 7:00 WHY IS THERE A JAPANESE STEAM LOCOMOTIVE IN NORTH CAROLINA?!?
2:27 ran a red light
I’m waiting for the Rapido one, hopefully they offer CN and GTW versions.
Rapido should be making the Canadian National Northerns for sure. But I beleive the Selkirk will come first. But I'm 100% buying one from rapido when they release the northerns. I hope to see the U2gs and the U4s (streamlined). I'll be buying an example of both.
I remember one guy in my club got one managed to get it to run and then brought it to our club and found out it could barely pull anything. I think he sold it soon after that.
Time for tungsten putty, lead tape, and bullfrog snot liquid traction tires!
This is way too underrated
Ive seen the real one in real life
“It’s pretty, It’s Limited edition, and It’s - *Electrical Failure*-A piece of junk”
1:19 very American.
Haha The M1b Locomotive has the Special Water! Stay tuned for Part 17.
If the British engines are exposed to moonshine we gotta get the Americans in on Tea lmao.
I just realized that everyone on the railroad is insane 😂
1361 : blows it whistle in the middle of the night Altoona locals : SHUT UP
If it weren't for the fact that I have committed to modeling a freelanced Colorado freight railroad, I am certain that I would be modeling Pennsy steam instead, simply because I like the looks of so many of those engines! 😄 I do have a way to satisfy that craving however, as I plan to incorporate some ex-Pennsy steam into my fictitious roster, enjoying some more time roaming the rails and moving traffic.
Wait a minute, b units are sentient?
I just realized the deen goods is secretly a cereal killer 😮
I’m going to touch it😂
Locomotives are just bursting with character! Even without faces, a bit of storytelling and imagination can bring them to life even more!
Please get c1 atlantic, and make it afraid of the rain too!
Using a toothpick for an HO scale pole is an excellent idea! 😎 I may have to borrow it.
The DPUs roasting the sheriff for being impatient was one of the best parts, with the "favorite finger" line being hilarious! 😄
"The Flying Scotsman is here!" "........Anyways" 😂😂
In my mind, I’m goin’ to Carolina Can you see… a railway gun?
The worthiest art makes one FEEL. Perhaps serves to unsettle. I truly felt unsettled seeing equipment from both sides of the pond rubbing elbows. 😄 Well done! *subscribed*
1:28 😂😂😂😮😮

What decoders are used? Great sounds and realism thank you for the content
This is just, honestly my type of content
To this day, people say that the L1 still can't leave the shed.
Hey hey!!! I have 2800 as well! I absolutely love it. Plus being from montreal its awesome to have a piece of Canadian Railroad history that is local. Those Hudsons were built at CP's Angus Shops about 40 minutes from my house!!!
FEED THE TROLLEYS
They're GONNA COOK DUCK THE GREAT WESTERN ENGINE JESUS CRIST😂😂😮😮😮😮
"The j50 emerges from his hole" mood
Love this video, also just a funny observation that the Big Boy was brought a Southern caboose given that sometime yesterday I think Athearn announced they’re making Big Boys in HO and N scale and one of the liveries they’ve chosen to add to this run is a Southern green one
I hope someone at the club gets an S1 when that model comes out, just so it can show up and intimidate the T1, and frighten Mallard at the same time. Always a great video sir, hope you enjoy your time away from youtube!
I'm not even 30 seconds into this and I've already lost it! 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
To be fair, I think if we had the ability to, everyone would want to cuddle the plymouth
Spot is a golden retriever in trolley form
Hey Jimmy, I'm a big fan of yours. I'm thinking of starting my own series based off of yours, but at the train club I go to, the Belleville Model Railroad Club in Belleville, Ontario, Canada. I hope you wouldn't mind.
If Tea & Moonshine has inspired you to make your own creation, then by all means go for it. Let those creative juices flow and put your own twist on things. The biggest piece of advice I can give though, is to make sure whatever you film is respectful of the work that went into building the club layout.
This is so unhinged I love it!
The big boy storming about had me in stiches and when It pulled up to the gun i was pissing myself.
