I work construction retail...so the thought of cooking when I get home is not going to happen. This is why I watch your show. It reminds me that there is so much care and love when you cook for others. Thanks for leading the way in moral values via food.
This was probably my Favorite thing to eat when I was a child; who ate at Italian restaurants frequently, as well as my parents making our traditional Italian dishes. As time went on though, this dish is more difficult to find in restaurants unfortunately! It’s Seriously Delicious! I Adore Everything about It! Thank You for sharing this Easy Recipe! I Can’t Wait to Try it and Share it with my own Children! So Happy I found Y’all on the Tastemade Channel and researched to Find Struggle Meals on RUclips! Thanks Again! ♥️
I made this years ago and fell in love! I don't remember where I got it from but I am so glad to find it here. I think the caper use is new to me. Also, was there possibly a little milk used in the sauce?
Dried 🍄 (like shiitake, king oyster or portobello) and sun-dried 🍅 in oil solve both issues. Careful though as some brands of sun-dried tomatoes have capers in them.
Try using finely minced olives if you can, maybe with a little of the brine. Add parmesano reggiano for the second layer of saltiness. The Parmesan will give the grittiness that anchovies do with the complexity. The olives and brines will give the saltiness and texture of capers.
Maybe try black or green olives. It’s the salty taste that you’ll want to replace the capers with so I’d use more olives if you really can’t stand the capers. Hope this helps!

I was hoping for a DROP THE STOCK moment but I'll take what I can get
Instead of the dropping the stock he dropped the ball.
🤤, the bread looks good too 😊
I used to make almost this same recipe years ago! Thanks for making me remember it and how good it was! (Love the additions of capers!)
Thanks Frankie!

I need this in my life.
So close to 100k. Will there be a celebration??
Lovely! haven't see Italian loaf in Los Angeles for $0.32 tho(
Are there good alternatives to the anchovies and the capers? I have a fish allergy and a buddy has diverticulitis some the capers are a no-go for him.

That's very interesting
When we watch a movie we have popcorn but my brother has braces what is another affordable snack to do?
Ok so I'm moving to Rome and getting an Italian husband to cook this for. Frankie you looking?
I am sorry to be nitpicking, but is framerate weird for everyone or only for me? Would obviously try the dish anyway!
It's Bread Meatloaf.
