    I made home made ricotta yesterday! Food Wishes recipe. Takes about 30 minutes and is easy but you do need cheesecloth. I'll probably make some lasagna noodle roll ups. It's just me!
    Great trick for regular lasagna noodles is to put them on a sheet pan, cover with boiling water, and cover with tin foil and let sit for 10 or 15 minutes. That way I don't have to boil a lot of water in my RV, which matters because I buy spring water for cooking, so this saves me money and space!
    I only use my RV tank water for flushing and washing dishes / my hands. I even use bottled spring water to brush my teeth.

    Is there a reason they could not have gone directly into the frying pan?

      I was wondering this my self. I suppose part of the problem is that it could melt, but I would imagine the egg would still hold it together. For sure, boiling water was always going to be a bit risky.
