They really are paying for their power in the first edition of Warcry. Those spiders were nasty

Fun, video! And they are that bad - on the other hand if you manage a win in say a treasure scenario you have extra gloating rights!

Absolutely. They even have Skittering Ascent to make nabbing the treasure and skedaddling that little bit easier. Surviving after that though? That’s rough!

I wish the spiders were stronger and/or the faction had better abilities. A tricky faction that is squishy but has lots of traps and tactics sounds cool. I feel like if the spider swarm had 5 instead of 4 attacks and you don't change anything else they would be legitimately good.

Spider Swarms are unironically their best unit imo, which is sad considering how underwhelming they actually are. Being able to move with symbiosis and generally be annoying is just so good in objective games - but once they (or you Broodmaster) die, the whole faction falls apart.

Taking them against a Kruleboyz list sounds pretty hard.

They’d get clapped by an army of Pot Grots mate

just picked up the red harvest box with my dad, seems i got the shorter end of the stick in terms of warband lol. Definitely going to watch some more of your content🙏

They are fine if you stick with bespoke warbands. They used to be incredibly powerful in 1st edition and now they are paying the price on 2nd, sadly.

It looks like Tarantulos brood are the weakest of the 8.
Splintered Fang look similar, but much better.
    That was great! Thank you
    Whos next????

Splintered Fang have a similar ‘control’ style, but are far more effective thanks to more effective nets, tougher units, higher damage, and more reliable ways of landing that damage. The downside is that vipers are nowhere near as good as spiders (too expensive) so one of their defining features is under used.
      Iron Golems are next!

Why doesn’t GW make these bespoke boxes more competitive? I like the aesthetics of this warband for sure

More modern bespokes are more competitive. First edition warbands are more heavily themed and are built around different points algorithms. Brood are very fast on their feet and movement is very expensive in second edition Warcry.

These bespoke boxes seem cool but they won’t make them competitive. Come on GW , why make them too weak

The more modern boxes are comfortably mid tier, which is great. Earlier boxes can be pretty naff
