This lady has this autistic son who got bumped to first class (the apartments ) while she was sitting in business in the seat next to mine so she asked me if I would be willing to switch seats with her son , and she asked the air hostess if it could happen , and it was the best air time experience of my life

Don't really think so...It's mostly just useless space. Overkill really; the suites on Singapore and Emirates and other similar offerings are all one could ever need. Etihad can be so extravagant with space because of their oil and gas wealth but whether such products make business sense remains to be seen.
Jonnie Bangkok Actually , emirates and Singapore airlines brand it as first class while etihad airways brand their first class as something beyond first class, for people who want to get an experiencing similar to a private jet but they don't want to deal with all the mess, and hence the price. It's not fair to call it oil and gas wealth , since only 7% of the economy is from oil and gas revenues. Private jet won't get you long haul which is what most rich people use first class for and first class passengers rarely cross paths with economy nowdays. Tends to be different check ins, private lounges, boarding and leaving the plane separately etc
I have a question. Could say one person buy a first class tickets then say 2 of their friends buy coach. Could the two friends come to the apartment and sit there while the plane is cruising?
Generally no but that's at the discretion of the crew. Exclusivity is largely what you pay for products like this so they don't want folks bringing others into the cabin.
WOW, thats a very nice first class. But normal people like me, will probably never have the opportunity to get this experience. Thats why we watch your videos ^^
It's the same to be a rich man or using sponsor's who are rich...How do you get someone rich to pay for you ?? If you know how, pls let me know, too...😉😉
나무번역 He said in one of his videos that he earns quite a decent amount of money and has a large disposable income. He also said that he often uses points and miles to buy tickets and upgrade. That's how he is able to fly in First and Business Class.
Well there's only one proper seat with a belt and everyone has to sit in that for take of and landing so I doubt they would allow multiple people for safety reasons
really? ive never seen anyone do that before but that seems reasonable. if the price difference is that much between economy and first or business class taht you can get multiple economy seats for less then why not I guess. But I have doubts that you can get 3 seats (and thus a whole row on one side) for a long flight for cheaper then you could of just got a business plus - first class seat. And you still wouldnt get any of the first class amenities. And they rarely give actual meals or anything on flights these days. I just flew non top ofacross the US and you got nothing more than th eusual little snack and soda pop they always give you on any flight. anything more you have to pay for seperately. So i dont see anyone getting food for 3 seats when you dont get real food in the first place. and you can already ask them for as much soda as you want to drink.
I found the video of the plane taking off really cool, great thing to watch when you're on the plane. Always wanted to see what it's like on the outside
I flew First Class with my wife on Etihad three years ago on a 777, not the A380. The experience was nonetheless exceptional. Am I a millionaire? Alas no. Just a wage earner. I purchased 2 Business Class seats from Melbourne to London with points accumulated over years, and upgraded for just $1600. It's one of the longest flights in the world, but I didn't want to get off. A lot of stupid posts here.
*cough* *cough* how much do you have to pay? Yo ill just get a cheap flight then buy myself a massage chair and other crap for under 35k... waaaaay under
If you were rich enough to afford that ticket, you would understand money is just a number if you can earn it again. Health>Money. Health meaning; comfortable seat, nice sleep, etc.
You mentioned the two different bathrooms for First and Residential plus a Lounge for residents only... Just curious, what's the difference between first class and residence? Economy peasant here! 😅
Haha, as if first class isn't enough, the residence is just ridiculous :P It's a three-room suite, where you have your own living room suite, like the other first classes, your own private bathroom, and your own private bedroom. Because you'd rather pay an extra $30.000, than having to leave your personal suite in order to use the public first-class bathroom on your flight, right!?
Study hard, Work hard, go into some boring field like I.T., Accounting or Consulting and you will be able to afford this. (Or become a drug dealer, your choice.)
You can upgrade at check-in for about $700.00 As you can see from the boarding pass in the video it states 'UPD' which means it is not a proper first class ticket.
Oxonian what kind of fare would you need to purchase to be eligible for an upgrade at check in? and don't they bump up frequent fliers first such that the chances of purchasing an upgrade are slim?
PaperClip459 Besides upgrading with points, Etihad offer two other ways to upgrade. 1.) They send out an email a few days before your flight asking you to bid for an upgrade. 2,) At check-in, if seats are still available, Etihad offer a fixed price upgrade and it does not matter which ticket bucket you are booked in. This is normally cheaper than bidding. However, you do not have lounge access on check-in upgrades. To upgrade at check in does not depend on your frequent flyer status. They are given on first come first served basis.
+mike mercurio 1 mile high is only ~6000 feet. The captain would not yet have swiched off the seatbelt signs. Typical cruise altitude I am told is ~36000 feet. It should be called the 6 mile high club. Not that I care cos I wank whenever I like. In fact takeoff and landing is the best time to spank one out cos it's more bumpy and it makes it feel like someone else is doing it.
+Justin Hopkins because its a state backed airliner, a flag carrier for the nation.. And you do know the UAE is a strict muslim nation right? And they are not supposedly to serve alcohol or pork for that matter, in my personal opinion and i believe other muslims too should agree
it's a Muslim airline so etihad airline giving the customers the best quality service. There is no alcohol or pork etc like that only halal food. if you want alcohol u can take other airlines first class that won't be as same experience like etihad..
+slice I did saw etihad serving wine in the past.. Thats alcoholic too i believe.. Hope etihad no longer serves alcohol.. I am sure There are various other exquisite F&B they can offer
Flying Etihad Apartments in April! I hope it doesn't turns out like my Etihad 787 First experience. Expecting a little better service and transit experience in Abu Dhabi. Great video!
+esp heroz haha the good think is I don't need it, I have half million miles with American Airlines (took me 3 years), I can flight this route in First with Etihad 12 times before the devaluation or 8 times after that, plus $40 in taxes ;-). But not many ppl live in USA and know how to take advantage of CC Bonus.
yea not many people know what u mean by CC cause most of us didnt take airplane very often unless its part of the jobs to take it,etc do u know what type of job that required u to take plane often??
+esp heroz CC means credit cards, in USA many banks offers big bonus in order to attract customers. I don't fly a lot and my job doesn't any travel, but I was able to manage to get a lot of miles with those CC bonus.
+Alto13 fortunately for everyone middle eastern airlines will soon cease to be, you all seem to forget that oil is a finite resource, and you have no plan b.
+Grumpy Cat And if the y put the majority of their money into shares of western companies, they will lose most of them when the next big stock crash will come and I am sure that it will come some day. I just don't know if it will take 1 year, 10 years or 100 years...
rfvtgbzhn I think you are really jealous of the money that these Gulf countries have. The fact that they have much better airlines than Western ones really riles you doesn't it?
Alto13 I don't personally care if they have a better first class at eastern airlines. I will probably never fly first class anyway. Also if you read the comment to which you answered, it was actually a criticism on western economy (or western stock market) to be more exact, the stock system is essentially the same in the east of course, but it ha it's origin in the west. The problem with stock market in general is that it is actually a market that works according to the greater fool principle, so sock values get much bigger than the real values of the companies, but they rise because stock speculators (and there are much more speculators than real investors in modern stock markets) think that there will always be a "greater fool" that will pay even more for their stock. But at some time, the price gets so high, that not enough "greater fools" are found, so the bubble bursts and the stock price will suddenly drop, usually the time at which this happens is unforeseen even by most experts, the phenomenon itself is known at least since the 17th century (dutch tulip mania). Sometimes this is true only for some parts of the stock market, but sometimes it is true for the whole stock market, in this case you get a bis stock market crash like in the 1930s which will pull the real economy down because it will also lead to a lack of investment. Also because of fractional-reserve banking, the banks create a lot more of money than what is actually needed by the real economy, because real economy is limited by resources and cannot grow as fast as banks want to supply money. If you get a loan of 100$ from a bank, the bank actually creates 90$ of this and you have to pay all the 100$ back + interest, so the bank will have a profit of 90$ + interest. But if there are too many debtors who don't pay their loans or too many people who want to get their deposits in cash (this situation is called a a bank run), the bank will get insolvent quite quickly. If your bank is a big bank, this leads to many people losing their faith in all banks and wanting to get their deposits as cash too and the whole system will collapse. This whole process is called a systemic crisis. Of course a systemic crisis is usually mitigated by the government because by just increasing money supply (printing enough cash), but this can also be dangerous because it can lead to hyperinflation. So in general the modern capitalist financial system is quite vulnerable and crashes quite often, although it did not collapse completely yet. Every interest-based system relies on sustaining positive a real economic growth forever, which is of course not possible in world with limited resources, so it has to crash sometimes.
Im a Quater Arabic, And I live in the UAE (Abu Dhabi). Ive been on residence once. It was amazing. It had A queen sized bed and service better than 5 star restaurant. They even had full out steak.
guys that is so expensive for this shit. I mean you are sitting for couple of hours in the plane. Why do need all this stuff? Just get a book or speak with your neighbor and everything is good.
degomb Well lets say the flights takes 14 hours. That are just 14 hours. And they will be still 14 hours. Get sleep pills and have a lucid dream and you spare more money than some guys will never earn.
+Der Kommentierer I'm sure the people who are paying for the first class services on these kinds of flights aren't worried too much about saving. If you have fuck you money then fuck it why not...

I found the video of the plane taking off really cool, great thing to watch when you're on the plane. Always wanted to see what it's like on the outside
cool videos sam! very entertaining, keep up the good work! :)
Excellent! Some day... I'll booking... 😍
I could find better ways to spend 35k
*cough* *cough* how much do you have to pay?
Yo ill just get a cheap flight then buy myself a massage chair and other crap for under 35k...
waaaaay under
Yeah definitely more than $10k you can check the prices on their website.
I bet you can still smell economy class from the apartment.
the flight report is both soothing and tranquil ... well done!
One of my favourite boarding music. But they changed it now. Every time I hear this it takes me back to Bali and KUL trips I had on EY.
Thanks for posting this video, God knows it's the only way I'd ever get to experience such elegance!
5:34 "Mozzarella with Cheese" Huh????
haha... thought the same thing
René K yes you put cheese on mozzarella. If not,cit ain't cheezy enough
René K 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Hey Sam I'm a new subscriber. Awesome video. It's the next best thing to actually flying First Class
I love your description of the airport’s and what to expect
London to Abu Dhabi? That's like a 6 hour flight! Waste of a first class ticket.
ZULTAN what, you would sit the common folk?
Mick Funny well if the flight were that short all I would need is my phone and a chair that leans back ._.
+ZULTAN No i was sitting on first class London to Qatar and it was worth it.
If you were rich enough to afford that ticket, you would understand money is just a number if you can earn it again. Health>Money. Health meaning; comfortable seat, nice sleep, etc.
same here i agree
You mentioned the two different bathrooms for First and Residential plus a Lounge for residents only... Just curious, what's the difference between first class and residence? Economy peasant here! 😅
Haha, as if first class isn't enough, the residence is just ridiculous :P It's a three-room suite, where you have your own living room suite, like the other first classes, your own private bathroom, and your own private bedroom. Because you'd rather pay an extra $30.000, than having to leave your personal suite in order to use the public first-class bathroom on your flight, right!?
Just curious, how do you afford all of this First Class travel???
Study hard, Work hard, go into some boring field like I.T., Accounting or Consulting and you will be able to afford this. (Or become a drug dealer, your choice.)
You can upgrade at check-in for about $700.00 As you can see from the boarding pass in the video it states 'UPD' which means it is not a proper first class ticket.
***** I work in IT, and a flight like this would cost half my year's salary
Just love your videos, Sam...I dunno...leaves me feeling so peaceful...
Who else wants to fly on this so bad after watching this, I mean, it’s like a gosh darn flying hotel!!! Truly stunning
only one reason for these apartments....mile high club
+mike mercurio LOL!
Hahahhaha
+mike mercurio 1 mile high is only ~6000 feet. The captain would not yet have swiched off the seatbelt signs. Typical cruise altitude I am told is ~36000 feet. It should be called the 6 mile high club. Not that I care cos I wank whenever I like. In fact takeoff and landing is the best time to spank one out cos it's more bumpy and it makes it feel like someone else is doing it.
+billiepipersteeth somethings a little off with you ...
+billiepipersteeth you must be fun at parties
I wish all planes had a tail view camera
+TheHightecgaming I will put a camera on the tail of every single plane in the world
woohoo xD
alot of big airliners do, unless you fly on some shite ones like ryanair. probably have to pay for seatbealts for those flights
it is better than my room
AMAZING FIRST CLASS RESIDENCE, I HOPE SOME DAY TRAVEL IN THIS CLASS A380 ETIHAD, THE BEST!!! LOVE IT
Ive done this flight, in the Apartment a handful of times. its so so. Id give it a 7/10.
I was expecting something i bit more high end.
Does Etihad serve alcohol on their flights? If not, that would suck.
+Robert Jensen unfortunately they do..
+Night Prayer Why unfortunately?
5:34 "Mozzarella with Cheese" I am sorry to inform you but Mozzarella is Cheese itself.
he can be silly as enough as his money reaches or not?
Price of admission, a few oil fields, some drug money, and about 50 sweatshops
Soccercrazyigboman Abu dhabi got oil?
Flying Etihad Apartments in April! I hope it doesn't turns out like my Etihad 787 First experience. Expecting a little better service and transit experience in Abu Dhabi. Great video!
So all that money for 1 shrimp??
WHAT!!
Why work hard and become rich, when you can just be a hot chick, and become a rich guy's trophy wife?
+Gamebreaker08 haha, but not everyone is a hot chick!!!
+Federico V invest yourself in changing gender, and plastic surgery haha
How many miles for this?
Congratulations man for the 100000 i realy like your videos
The BEST in the best ! Example for "Sky First Guest" expirience !!!
If flying in there one day isn't goals idk what is
***** I'm pretty sure you can't.....
***** "easy as pie to get"
Nothing to beat the Middle Eastern airlines. Western airlines are now crap.
+Alto13 fortunately for everyone middle eastern airlines will soon cease to be, you all seem to forget that oil is a finite resource, and you have no plan b.
A case of "the grapes are sour because I can't eat them"?
+Grumpy Cat And if the y put the majority of their money into shares of western companies, they will lose most of them when the next big stock crash will come and I am sure that it will come some day. I just don't know if it will take 1 year, 10 years or 100 years...
rfvtgbzhn I think you are really jealous of the money that these Gulf countries have. The fact that they have much better airlines than Western ones really riles you doesn't it?
Alto13
I don't personally care if they have a better first class at eastern airlines.
Money buys a better sadness.
Or a food for your dog.
lol since you are poor you say that to make yourself feel better?
Getting to fly in a plane is already luxury. Appreciate what you have guys
+Der Kommentierer a couple of hours? these flights might take at least 12 hours.
degomb
Well lets say the flights takes 14 hours. That are just 14 hours. And they will be still 14 hours. Get sleep pills and have a lucid dream and you spare more money than some guys will never earn.
+Der Kommentierer Right!
+Der Kommentierer The most sensible comment
+Der Kommentierer I'm sure the people who are paying for the first class services on these kinds of flights aren't worried too much about saving. If you have fuck you money then fuck it why not...
Sorry, I prefer sleeping next to a fat sweaty guy who is snoring while i try drinking hot coffee spilling it all over me because of turbulence.
+Alex S :DDDDDDDD
Lol youre one of a kind
Meanwhile in the economy class- I request the passenger of the seat in front of me to not bend too much because it hurt my knees as me being a 6'4". :|
Cool video! BTW, what is the background music of your video, that's really nice!
This is gorgeous!!!! What do you do to be able to fly so often in first and premium class?
If I was this rich, I would buy half of China
Lol destroy china
calvin buenaventura YOU WHAT!!!!

+slikkwon Playstation, Strippers
Love the background music. I know that this is the music that Etihad plays during takeoff and landing. Can you share a link to the music?
Wow awesome just no words to describe about it loved it a lot.
$32,000 experience
+Francis G. $90,000* lol
its 32,000 one way
i relative of mine actually experienced this
from jfk to london
then i got so mad at them because with all those money we could have helped many people with it who is in need and still have enough a first class flight to somewhere
but its all good
+Francis G. Why is it their responsibility to help many people?
+Vdaddy Humanity :)
But upto a limit :)
Does this guy fucking sit in planes for a living?
😂😂😂😂

Mozzerella with cheese? Wtf. It is cheese.
Hi - I'm flying Abu Dhabi to JFK in 4A. Good seat! Wondering what the music is please you have on this clip? It's beautiful. Thanks in advance!
Most amazing from all is the camera on the tail you can see take off/landing
Why the screen playing alitalia ad? Lol
Because of the partnership with AirItalia.
Etihad owns 49% of Alitalia.
Gameflyer001 Which was a horrible investment UNLESS (and god help me make this real) Alitalia will join Dawrin Airways in becoming ETIHAD Regional.
It was so cringey to listen to
"Mozarella with cheese"
Really my balls became loose, because i laughed so hard..
Had to scroll to far for this 😅
"Mozzarella with Cheese" lol wut?
A bit underwhelmed by the size of the TV. Looks like they could have fit a much larger screen in there for both the apt and the residence.
The arab countries have the best flying experience and best hotel experiences out of an country you will travel to. Love it
More expensive than my house.
What kind of house do u live in?
probably a skip
+LiveTV 😂😂
I doubt that, since one of these flights would at most be $4000. And most houses are about 100 times that expensive.
mate.. $4000?? Are you serious?? it's at least $15k
