This is exactly how an airline travel video should be made and shown. Time to read the menu; pausing to show each dish/meal/snack & drink; detailed view of the amenity kit, and the music isn't so loud that one needs to adjust the volume. On a personal note - thank you for showing a different view on take off. Outstanding video editing - thank you for sharing your trip with us.

I deal with turbulence by closing my eyes and gripping both armrests with all of my might so that I can concentrate on single-handedly holding the plane up in the air. Seems to have worked so far....
Stapedectomy (Google) also known as the stirrup (a part in your ear), this has effect on your sensation for balance. Sometime you loose a sense of balance if this part of the ear is infected. One good piece of advice I learnt was if you turn on your side in the chair during turbulence, the Stapedectomy, doesn't have such an effect on your mental awareness, it won't eradicate 'bad sensation' completely, but it will 'dull' some of the sensation of the lower/softer turbulent movement. The use of in-ear earphones with the music slightly louder than normal (do not put the volumne up to the max) will also assist whilst laying on your side. I have unfortunately been in three category 3 turbulence episodes, the one on the trip from Jamaica to England (as per usual another night flight which never helps), was partularly violent, 2 hours after take off. By adopting the above, saying my prays, I actually fell asleep, only for my next door passenger to tell me that it lasted at various leveles till we arrived over Ireland. Worth a try....
@@FOXHOUND4143 Thanks! I know it's silly but phobias are never logical, are they? I mean, God knows what type of chaos and panic might ensue if I ever actually got out of my seat during a flight! 😂

I flew twice AUH-JFK on the same seat, a 16hs flight but I sleep like a baby for like 10hs, it hard to stay awake for 16hs even on a nice cabin. I didn't pay too much, just like $50 in taxes and 115k Advantage miles (that I got from 2 different credit cards) 😆.

May sound funny, but I truly felt like I am on the plane with you anytime I watch your channels. It brings back my flying memories in sync with what I am watching and creates a positive illusion in my mind.
My father worked for TWA from before I was born so I grew up flying back and forth to Germany where my mother was from and have no fear of flying. Takeoff is my favorite part of the flight and I had the privilege of flying first class many times as a non-rev passenger. When I reached the age of 18 I discovered the cost of a plane ticket when I lost my flying privileges! Since then I have felt like a bird with her wings clipped! I flew Etihad almost 2 years ago. My partner and I had the privilege of being in the Etihad Residence from London to Abu Dhabi. The service and experience was nothing short of amazing. The problem with flying this way is that nothing else really measures up unless you own your own plane and have the necessary capital to maintain it to your specifications. From pick up to drop off their attention to our every need and want was spectacular. My partner and I are both vegan (which we notified the airline of at the time of booking) and the meals that the Residence Lounge and the onboard chef designed for us were superlative in both flavour and form. Each dish was like a delicious work of art we almost didn't want to eat them. Alas, I heard the Residence is no longer an available seating option. I would gladly pay for the experience again.
I've flown 4x in Etihad's A380 First Class Apartment. The quality of food and drink are definitely first class and overall a great experience. Only negatives 1) The fold out bed is super hard - so it's a bit of a gimmick 2) The extreme noise level on the upper deck at the front of an A380 makes it very hard to sleep 3) WiFi mostly doesn't work 4) The movie selection is rubbish... definitely BYO!
I flew exactly 24 flights with Etihad. I’m not even kidding I’ve gone to India 6 times, with a flight from here to Abu Dhabi, to India, and the way back. So 6 times 4 is 24. I always fly economy but the economy on Etihad is amazing it has plenty of leg room with tasty food, and a really good entertainment. Also, the boarding music is bussin.
I absolutely adore your videos. I flew Etihad to Hyderabad on two occasions from New York. The most memorable flight I have ever experienced. I do miss their old boarding music quite a bit though.
I’ve travelled Etihad a couple of times and I just love the airlines. I will fly with my husband and daughter in the Airbus A380 real sooon....yaaaaayyyyyyyy
The food looked so good I had to indulge myself with a bag of amusingly colorful peanut M & Ms, washed down with an elegant yet cunning Diet Coke, followed by a trip to the fully en suite bathroom facilities complete with complimentary Cottonelle. There's nothing like luxury!
Congratulations on a half million subs. Well deserved. I flew Etihad First on this same route but in the opposite direction in 2018 (when they were still using a 777) and experienced the worst turbulence of my life. I was in the lavatory changing into my pajamas when all of a sudden I was in the air and my head hit the ceiling. The FA banged on the door and I crawled out to the crew jump seat and strapped in. The FA was crying and said she’d never felt it that bad. And 5 minutes later everything was fine.
Beautiful video. I also like many others also get nervous during turbulence. I found by accident that sitting up straight and sucking in my stomach has a remarkable calming effect. I am not much into meditation or yoga but this simple change in my pose goes a very long way, every time. Travel on and thanks for sharing.

✈️ Etihad Airways is one of the best airlines in the world, especially in the field of first class seats & Foods . There is also a separate suite on Etihad A380 planes, which is the most expensive first class in the world (The Residence) . A few tips about Etihad Airways : The lighting inside the plane is dark and low, especially at night . Services (in business & first) are similar to five-star hotels in London . The flight attendant, they are not very active such as Qatar, the Emirates or Singapore Airlines, and the environment is more VIP . The average fare which Etihad needs to charge to break even on the India-routes will be higher than other airlines, as its aircraft have fewer seats (for this reason Etihad is more expensive than others) . It also has fewer flights than the Emirates and Qatar ✈️
I appreciate your commentary, but I have an honest question for you. Is the appearance (you said attractiveness) that you mentioned a definable quality, can you put it into words, so that the airline can take you feedback and improve?
I visited to Paris from Delhi and from Zurich to Delhi in June 2019 This airline is the best Very comfortable Good legroom Smooth take off and landing No noise in cabin Air pressure is well maintained No pain in ears Superb

19:16 - while I was on my way to the USA from India, I was hitting a slight amount of turbulence from Amsterdam to New York. It was a layover flight in two different cities from Calcutta (you have not visited yet)- New Delhi, and Amsterdam.
Luxury Travel Expert - Like you, I am a nervous flyer. Although I have been on several round-trip flights, the last time I flew was in 1987. My flying days are over so your travel videos mean and a great deal to me. Thank you for taking me along on your travels, I enjoy them very much.
Oh wow its truly amazing!! I love the decors. It really gives out the relaxing/spa/lounge vibe! Even the business class atmosphere looks great and the plane's so spacious! Thanks for another great upload&review 👍👍
My father was a pilot and took me to fly with him approx 100 times before i was fifteen on different aircrafts, including acrobatics:) Fully developed spin freaked me out a bit when i was thirteen or something, but it was still kinda fun same way amusement park rollercoaster ride is. I have no fear of flying whatsoever propably because of those experiences.
Yes i have travel two times and overall experience was very good and give a luxury feeling in sky.But I liked most is that the behaviour of crew members was very nice and its food quality as well.
I flew on a regular basis with Etihad to AUS. For me personally one of the best airlines. The staff is always friendly and there hard product is awesome. Unfortunately I hadn’t had the opportunity yet to fly first class. But the time will come....
I travelled via eithad airways from New Delhi (Indra Gandhi international airport) to New York (John F Kennedy international airport) on business class. It was fabulous. There in flight service and everything was too good. Moreover if I talk about the price, it was very reasonable. Overall it was a nice experience
Your channel is so therapeutic. I really enjoy your comments, (when you put smiley faces i smile too). You are classy, you take us on exciting journeys and i love it.
Mild/moderate turbulence, short in duration doesn’t bother me per se. I just close my eyes and place my right hand over my abdomen. Worst turbulence I ever encountered was in the ‘70s. Domestic flight from Minneapolis to Chicago. It came out of nowhere and was severe ... breakfast trays (yes back in the day they actually served a meal on a one hour flight) went up into the air as the aircraft went down. Needless to say, we were wearing our breakfast upon deplaning. There were several minor injuries reported because people were not strapped in even though they were seated. Thank heavens that was “one and done” and in my 1.5 million miles of travel (to date) I’ve never forgotten it. Made for a lifetime of memories though.
To improve the meal experience while flying - use a saline nasal spray (to rehydrate your mucosa in the nose) try to not use antihistamines or other medication that dries out your nose - take if you need it but also use the saline nasal spray I would take a tiny bottle of water to spray on my face as a mist before eating- the hot towel they provide would also help Then while eating put on the noise canceling headphones- play music with the sea when eating fish or seafood and music with high notes (like a saxophone or violin or pan flute) to increase the perception of sweetness Try to pick foods with Unami- like tomatoes, mushrooms, hard cheese or smoked / pickled fish
Honestly, I really enjoy turbulence. I really like it when I'm being shaken in a vehicle (aircraft as well as a train). Bumpy air and tracks make me fall asleep sooner for whatever reason. Exept for heavy turbulence, that keeps me awake because it's too much shaking, but I still really enjoy it as long as the cabin doesn't fall apart.
Dear Cees Duck and Fans ! For additional pleasures and comfort you always need to pay more : but not always the best can have a price ... True , money sometimes provides a way to decent independence. ✓
I deal with turbulence by remembering what it was like in the back of a C-130 from Ft Irwin back to Ft Riley. Turbulence from wheels up to landing. Some of my soldiers were throwing up most of the way. After that, I only get a tiny bit nervous during the worst turbulence, otherwise it’s just a ride at an amusement park!
To answer your question at 19:26, yes, I am a nervous flyer. Taking deep breaths and slowly exhaling helps me a lot -- it slows down the breathing. Also, I remember an airline pilot telling me that every "down" bump is followed by an "up" bump. I keep that it mind and it helps to dispel the myth that somehow the plane is "falling" out of the sky.. It is not, it is just bumping down and then up again.
I wish “the lobby” - the in-airplane lounge and bar - was bigger. Six seats is pretty small. One of the best parts about flying the new jumbo class of passenger jets in the 1970s was that the whole first-story area beneath the new second story business class, in between the first story’s first class seating and coach seating, was a massive lounge with sofas, chairs, multiple standing tables and a standing bar, able to hold at least eighteen passengers easily. Great for mingling!
What a beautifully executed video. I am considering a trip to Dubai and would love to go first class from Los Angeles. I think only Emirates serves LAX, so I will check on that. Etihad certainly knows how to treat Westerners perfectly. Like you, I have flown thousands and thousands of miles but am always nervous at takeoff (although this one was smooth and gentle, as was the landing -- flawless each time) and turbulence. It is a phobia that started on a flight from Rome to NY many years ago, even though the flight on an Al Italia 747 was perfect. Who knows why. Thank you for this wonderful channel.
Greetings from Indonesia! I always enjoy your video. I remember our former president Mr. Habibie said (he is also an aircraft engineer, you can google him) "If it shakes, then the hull is safely coping with the pressure". I admit I'm not a nervous flyer from the start, but his saying makes me enjoy every turbulence afterwards 😁
You are and quite rightly so, fond of the music starting at 20:27. I have requested the name of the music on several occasions but haven't succeeded so far. I am having another request. Thank you.
It’s funny. My husband will ask what I’m doing on my tablet and I’ll tell him I’m traveling. Then he will ask how was your flight and hotel. He know I watch your channel.
When there is turbulence we are asked to stay seated and to wear our belts. They are so particular on it that in economy class they will wake you up to ensure you put it on. With the lay down beds I never see the belt shown or how it works in first class.
Turbulace is a scary thing. I clinch the seat hard and avoid looking out of window. Thats better way of easing the time it lasts. Superb video. Liked it very much.
I hope you didn't see your lunch again after flying through the clear air turbulence over the Alps at about the 19:00 min mark in the video. Aside from that, all of your airline videos are very, very nicely produced that are unique in that the videos focus on airline lounges and their amenities, as well as the airplanes and on-board/in-flight amenities such as seating details, interior cabin views, IFE and perhaps the most interesting/requested feature- the on-board food and beverage menus and the actual meal/drink that is served to you. The videography is very nicely done. Keep up the nice work.
I totally understand why turbulence freaks people out. Especially ones that drop the plane like 20 feet. But for me, I just surrender it. Like i put 100% faith in the pilots before the flight and just hit a mental point of no return. It's like a rollercoaster. Once it starts moving, what's freaking out and screaming gonna do? Same with a plane. I get that it's scary, but for me I'm just like "I'm here, there's no getting off. So I gotta just swallow it trust the pilot and be at peace with it." That's helped me not only be not afraid to fly but really enjoy flying too.
Kind of a side note: all the features can be accessed and used with just one hand - since you are filming. That means with two they are very convenient!
I'm pretty sure we took this plane from AUH to Paris. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to Business Class! I didn't know there was a lobby! We did see it walking in but didn't think much of it. Good to know next time around.
Regarding dealing with turbulence, I’m from Hawai’i and whenever we’d have turbulence flying inter-island the flight attendants would always say, Don’t worry, she’s just doing the hula. On a more serious note, just remember it’s only wind and air. Safe travels!
On a wing and a prayer --- very comforting. I deal with turbulence by closing my eyes and imagining I am four wheel driving over sand trails. Then having a gin. I like Etihad, although I've only flown Business. The people at the lounge in AD were very rude though.

I am a cabin crew and I miss flying so so much ... I miss the conversations with the passengers ...
which airline?
I miss flying😔
U can still travrlt
My father was a pilot and took me to fly with him approx 100 times before i was fifteen on different aircrafts, including acrobatics:)
Fully developed spin freaked me out a bit when i was thirteen or something, but it was still kinda fun same way amusement park rollercoaster ride is.
I have no fear of flying whatsoever propably because of those experiences.
Flown Etihad a few times now - have to admit it is one of the best airlines I've flown with
i really love watching your videos during lockdown ....with my family ....
I appreciate that you’re actually showing everything without making it about you.
Excellent video for Etisalat Airways! Abu Dhabi is close to my heart and my second home. More videos and travels to conquer Sir!
Yes i have travel two times and overall experience was very good and give a luxury feeling in sky.But I liked most is that the behaviour of crew members was very nice and its food quality as well.
I love travelling on Etihad! I have never been in first class, but I have been in business many times and the experience is AMAZING!!!
@@CbosEasyRecipes7 Yes definitely, I would totally recommend it!!
A nice reflection in the vanity mirror.
With turbulence I try and relax my body while the plane bounces around. ✈️
I flew on a regular basis with Etihad to AUS. For me personally one of the best airlines. The staff is always friendly and there hard product is awesome. Unfortunately I hadn’t had the opportunity yet to fly first class. But the time will come....
Fantastic video! : -)
I travelled via eithad airways from New Delhi (Indra Gandhi international airport) to New York (John F Kennedy international airport) on business class. It was fabulous. There in flight service and everything was too good. Moreover if I talk about the price, it was very reasonable. Overall it was a nice experience
How much did you payed?
Thx for sharing!
I have done this flight and this class. Heading back to Kuwait from a conference. My ultimate destination was South Africa.
Very impressive video! Background music is very soothing and relaxing. I love watching such videos.
I drool every time I see an Airbus 😍
Beautiful memories of 2019 or early 2020! Sigh 😔. I don’t know how traveling will look like after pandemic😔😞
I feel like a lot of these first class cabins are the ONLY safe way to fly!
To improve the meal experience while flying - use a saline nasal spray (to rehydrate your mucosa in the nose)
try to not use antihistamines or other medication that dries out your nose - take if you need it but also use the saline nasal spray
I would take a tiny bottle of water to spray on my face as a mist before eating- the hot towel they provide would also help
Then while eating put on the noise canceling headphones- play music with the sea when eating fish or seafood and music with high notes (like a saxophone or violin or pan flute) to increase the perception of sweetness
Try to pick foods with Unami- like tomatoes, mushrooms, hard cheese or smoked / pickled fish
I am watching your videos as I am working on both my personal growth and development life plan!
First Class is so much more interesting than business class
And First Class is usually much more expensive than business class ..
business class is also much more interesting than economy class
Dear Cees Duck and Fans !
For additional pleasures and comfort you always need to pay more : but not always the best
can have a price ...
True , money sometimes
provides a way to decent
independence.

I treat turbulence as a bit of fun. I recall my childhood days of travelling on bumpy roads because I think it feels similar.
Etihad just raised the bar of 1st class service 👏👏👏👏
Helpful to know. And talk about an interesting career path.
You are and quite rightly so, fond of the music starting at 20:27. I have requested the name of the music on several occasions but haven't succeeded so far. I am having another request. Thank you.
"When I saw her" by Icelanders
@@luxurytravelexpert Thank you so very very much. I am so pleased. Best wishes.
Замечательное видео! Я всегда засыпаю от ваших путешествий, в хорошем смысле. И я представляю, что летаю только первым классом...... ❤❤❤❤❤❤😊
Setting up - 00:00 👏👏
It’s funny. My husband will ask what I’m doing on my tablet and I’ll tell him I’m traveling. Then he will ask how was your flight and hotel. He know I watch your channel.
So relaxinG. Another great video. Always great and appropriate background music.
When there is turbulence we are asked to stay seated and to wear our belts. They are so particular on it that in economy class they will wake you up to ensure you put it on. With the lay down beds I never see the belt shown or how it works in first class.
There is a seat belt on the bed, at 12:23 you can see it, I wear it just in case when I slept for like 10hs of my 16hs flight (AUH-JFK).
It was a great experience I have gone to Paris to NYC in the residence it was really great
that outside is wild I love that
Turbulace is a scary thing. I clinch the seat hard and avoid looking out of window. Thats better way of easing the time it lasts.
Superb video. Liked it very much.
I have travelled a lot in etihad its amazing and its good how they treat us
I hope you didn't see your lunch again after flying through the clear air turbulence over the Alps at about the 19:00 min mark in the video.
So I gotta just swallow it trust the pilot and be at peace with it."
That's helped me not only be not afraid to fly but really enjoy flying too.
You should make a list of your videos' music. Some of them are really relaxing and enjoyable.
Excellent trip report. The First class service is impressive. 6 hours isn't enough to enjoy this
Kind of a side note: all the features can be accessed and used with just one hand - since you are filming. That means with two they are very convenient!
Superb work, Man! Turbulence: don't resist it. Just go with it, same as on board of a ship, and it won't damage you.
I'm pretty sure we took this plane from AUH to Paris. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to Business Class! I didn't know there was a lobby! We did see it walking in but didn't think much of it. Good to know next time around.
Nice indepth review of the Apartment in skies .. Ethihad A380
The apartments are starting to look a bit tired - that's what I love about your reviews - they show it like it is rather than a glossy advertisement
Thanks for this, man. I am crying.. I want to travel!!! Great stuff! Keep up the good work!! :)))
