Despite not being representative of the current state of international travel this is a joy to see what we have already attained up to the point of the pandemic and what hopefully we will reattain soon with the help of some of the world's smartest minds working on a solution.
I had a past life as a flight attendant last century & used to love looking out over the unique topography & temples of Myanmar (then Burma) when we flew from Bangkok to Europe. Back then the first class meal service was 10 courses, each individually served by hand & could take up to 3 hours with a full cabin...
@@TomJamesOfficial not as far as I know as everything seems to be pre-plated these days. The main course was often a big fillet of beef or a whole fish which we used to slice pieces off & serve individually to pax...
There is such a quiet elegance and understated chic to this man’s videos. He’s the only You Tube travel vlogger I follow. It’s never about him it’s about him sharing his experience travelling First and Business class. I just adore his videos. So well done.
Hi, I wanted to say I absolutely love your videos. I get a lovely sense of peace watching them. In answer to your question about turbulence: What really helps me is to match my energy ( flow with the movement like an amusement ride and I laugh like it’s fun) so when I relax into it actually helps so much instead of tensing up. I am also Greek so I do my cross before take off and upon landing and I trust God is holding the plane and keeping it safe. Hope this helps. I am planning to go to a lot of the places I’ve seen in your videos. Especially the Seychelles and Etihad Airways! Thanks for all the great videos!
Congrats on 500K! I can’t travel much internationally due to a severe blood clotting disorder (long haul flights are a major, major risk with my history) and I’m so thankful I get to still experience it a little bit thanks to your videos. Safe travels wherever you go, and whenever that may be.
Hey,the luxury travel expert I watch all your videos and they really give me tranquility.I at least watch two-three videos a day.I really love you channel and your concept. With you I can travel the world from my couch.MUCH LOVE FROM KENYA ❤️❤️❤️❤️💯💯
I am loving your video especially the music you use. You make it like we are experiencing this for ourselves through your eyes. Keep up the great work!
Another great video. We used etihad lasr year when we went to the Singapore Grand Prix. The lounge you show is great- I managed to find a nice quiet area in one of the enclosed booths. With lounges so busy and people using phones and tablets without headphones i feel they are getting worse. We need more dedicated quiet areas! I also used the six senses spa fo a half hour massage which was bliss. Enjoyed the 787 business class. We also used a B777 on our trip which was ancient! All in all the etihad experience was a solid 7/10 if Emirates is 8/10 and Singapore Airlines 10/10. Here’s to flying again...one day....
Hey you won't more quiet areas and the go to the F1 GP. My brother worked on the metro construction and got free pass's to the F1 each year. But I do agree being surrounded with people talking on phones, does my head in. My favorite business class lounge's are Qatar's Doha and the new Emirates Dubai lounges, though take care Emirates will try and shunt you to the old lounge if your boarding by bus.
Have flown with Etihad alsow to Bangkok it was a pleasend stay. For me one of the best Airlines in the world. Looking forward to fly with them again after this pandemic.
Thank you Luxury Travel Expert for this beautiful video. You have very dreamy hands.I saw no ring on your hands. That leaves me to dream a little. Thank you
Etihad offers one of the best Business Class experience. I recently came across james asquith's video where he is flying alone in the entire etihad business class. How lucky!
Haven't watched for a few months but today I logged into my newer YT account and just felt like watching your videos. Pleasantly surprised to see that you still have new content! I miss travelling so much. Subscribed using this account too!
I fly Etihad a lot with my family, the experience is incredible, and the new Business Class is definitely amazing!! One of my favourite parts about the seat is the little control panel next to the remote! ✈️
Your reviews are always so detailed and professional! Also they're quite relaxing actually. Thank God you didn't get trapped somewhere during the pandemic. Keep up the good work :)
.................Our dear.................... To think that people actually have the opportunity to fly like this is wild! I’m over here hoping they give me a whole can of soda when they bring out refreshments!
Yo, actually I have a family in Dubai who travels like this all the time 😂 And I don’t usually do this, but I am SO CLOSE to 120 subscribers! I would APPRECIATE some love if you could subscribe to me 👍
I hope you and your family are will. To answer your question regarding the Lounges and Airports; I can only speak for Frankfurt and Hamburg. But I think its pretty much the same elsewhere. Feankfurt and Hamburg are completely deserted. You see hardly any People and the Lounges are closed due to COVID-19. My Colleagues and I are put on short work time since our regular Flightschedule is down to just approx. 2%. I haven‘t had a Flight since two months...its really sad. All we get is a Standby pattern for couple of days, ranging from 3 up to 7 days to serve the few flights we have. I‘m sure we will travel again one day but I‘m worrying how deep it will affect the airline Industrie.
This is a horrible time indeed, Michaela, for all those working in the airline industry. My thought are with you and your colleagues and I do hope that this misery will soon be a thing of the past ...
the Luxury Travel Expert thank you so much 🌸 I really appreciate it. I think we‘re able to outcome this misery. We have to reduce our fleet and yes there will be a lot of sacrifices regarding work conditions and so on...but with a good spirit and a lot of work it’s possible👍
I have only ever travelled business class twice and that was a LONG time ago.... I was actually embarrassed to ask if there was a charge when in the business lounge such are we mortals never used to seeing this :)
Always we traveled with air every year special long vacation for kids. I love it but it killed me with nervous when there's turbulence. My heart beating fast and I relax until the situation calm. My prayers that we arrive safely.
No matter how massive lounges are. When dealing with crowds from flight banks, massiveness goes out the window pretty quickly. The lounge becomes a chaotic mess. Seats facing backwards are crap. I would never do such again. Like the table. neat. Food looks delicious although quantities seem small. I would need to have two dessert servings.
tbh business class on Etihad is (imo) cheap for business class. so i'm from Pakistan and me and my family went to Pakistan on Etihad, we booked 5 business class seats for just north of 11k. unlike Qatar and emirates where the seats for that many people is around 21-23k
Yes, 12 times in business and twice in first class, once upgraded because I was upset with the ground staff at the Dulles airport due to their wrong information about some reason, so they upgraded me all the way from IAD to New Delhi. Excellent airlines and they do very good care of their guests.
Another enjoyable report. Post covid19, I think you will find much quieter airports in the short term. I would anticipate that for the rest of 2020, air travel will be drastically reduced, and it will take a long time to recover. EasyJet, which is a large low cost airline based in the UK, have stated that they hope to resume flights shortly after the lockdown has eased. They will however leave the middle seat on each side of the aisle vacant to allow for social distancing. I am not sure how this will work in the long term as basically they will be flying aircraft which are 33% empty. Given how tight margins are in the airline industry, this is not sustainable for any length of time. It will be interesting to see what happens, but personally I do not see myself travelling anywhere this year.
Great Video and so much better that British Airways Business Class, will never fly with the again especially how they have recently been treating there mostly excellent cabin crew.
Ok so it seems that the virtual flight path screen says you’re going 5,932 miles in ~5 1/2 hours. That would mean you’re flying at a little more than 1,000 mph. Is that even possible for commercial aircraft? Am I missing something? Loved the vid!
I enjoyed watching your videos and I have a question for you. Do you get to keep the amenities kits when you are flying either first class or business class? I was just curious. Looking forward to new videos from you in the future.
The backward facing seats make me so nervous! I'm planning on flying business class on my next big trip in a new year's, I really hope I don't get a backward seat haha.
If you do your booking reservation at Etihad website you can choose and reserve the seat that you prefer .... tip , even numbers are facing forward on b 787 dreamliner .
What a gorgeous plane! I sure hope Boeing gets it figured out soon. I don't think the average American understands what it would mean if this company went insolvent. It would cost well over hundreds of thousands of jobs across a vast diverse number of industries. This is not one that the Fed should take their time with.
Fantastic video once again. I love how you show take off and landing completely rather than speeding it up or adding music. I wonder whether we'll still be able to travel like this in the future. Or will this be the new normal given social distancing? This would be awesome if it was the new 'economy class' :-)
Weekly dose of happiness and virtual travel ✌️❤️
same here. 2022 is hopefully my travel year

Having flown Etihad Business, I enjoyed that lounge and the flight.

One benefit of staying at home is that when you lose track of the date you sometimes get surprise Luxury Travel Expert videos.
You see a video and realise it must be Saturday again!

I would definitely love ❤ to try Etihad airways🇦🇪 .
I flew, twice, and both times was smashing, in business class of course. My family didn’t really have a good time but I did.

Great video - I was meant to be flying the 787 in 2 weeks business class from LHR, hopefully soon!
The pre Covid era... really miss flying

You think you travel cheaply with your points, but I travel for free as your virtual plus one!
Thank you to be my guidelines to flight after covid-19😅
Is it just me or do the flight attendants seem way happier when Casey is making a vlog than any other person
Yes, 12 times in business and twice in first class, once upgraded because I was upset with the ground staff at the Dulles airport due to their wrong information about some reason, so they upgraded me all the way from IAD to New Delhi. Excellent airlines and they do very good care of their guests.

Etihad has the best livery in the industry, just love it so much..i guess this flight is before Covid-19?
Yes, this flight was before the pandemic
Imagine the intense feeling you get when flying on Etihad airways
Awesome airline. So is travel back to normal or is this pre lockdown trip?
Looking at flying to Thailand in September in Business Class, hope to find a good price and decent seating.
Beautiful. Super relaxing video :)
welcome to my homecountry again and again
I ❤️❤️❤️ Thailand
That landing was schmoove
Great Video and so much better that British Airways Business Class, will never fly with the again especially how they have recently been treating there mostly excellent cabin crew.
Please make a Korean air or Asian airlines first or Business class trip from Bangkok to Seoul
please make a vlog of residence ... abu dhabi - nyc etihad residence and do mention there r how many seats of residence in 1 aircraft
15:25 - 16:13 Why I do not travel first or economy and I travel business. That simplicity.

Altitude + earth rotation = quantum leap (not an entirely acurate explanation)
I enjoyed watching your videos and I have a question for you. Do you get to keep the amenities kits when you are flying either first class or business class? I was just curious. Looking forward to new videos from you in the future.
Yes
Can you do Kolkata (India) to uhhh..... Abu Dhabi in our only Etihad A320.... with no first class ofcourse.
I am impressed that you can still fly despite having this global virus, do you allow flights between those countries?
It was film before the virus you can see no one is wearing a mask

Non urgent announcements on planes should be via headphones so as not to disturb passengers who dont want to hear them.

Very great experience!
Etihad and Singapore are the best airlines in the world, is my modest opinion.
Lukas Claase best luxury ur saying
Who’s watching a bunch of traveling videos because there traveling soon
Which would you prefer, Etihad or Emirates? I've flown Emirates several times and am now looking to try Etihad from Malaysia to Amsterdam.
It’s one of the most interesting business class layouts I’ve seen to date👍
I agree!
