I’ll never forget when Dinosaur Jr. came to Winnipeg. The distortion was so loud I couldn’t decipher what songs were being played and I know all the songs. Then unbeknownst to me, my buddy hits a security guard, gets thrown out, and I spend 45 minutes looking for him. Ah, the memories.
I saw J. solo at the Roxy during 1996 on the Martin + Me tour, damn he was so loud my ears literally were vibrating deep inside my head, lol I had to walk outside , the sh*t you just cant ever forget.
Formação original como Lou Barlow do Sebadoh no baixo e que presente vê-los juntos e ainda tocando Start Choppin que na MTV do Lado B aqui no Brasil tocava direto!demais!!
I grew up with J Mascis. Saw DJ live, and even met Lou at a show. There is reason why they are the best ever. Props to MURPH for holding down the beat while J wails.
Always loved this tune... J Mascis does very a nice job filling it out with just one guitar live. Always thought he was underrated as a guitar player. The twin guitar tracks on the recording are just perfect; the 'lead' guitar sorts of jumps back and forth between between playing a slight counterpoint of the rhythm theme and playing a very mellow lead. Thanks for posting this! ;o)
Quietly throughout his life he was/is a very skilled and talented player to be put in with the likes of the Big Boys, Very good songwriter too on his solo projects
wow what's up with this Pink Paisley Tele I have never seen this one before, looks like a major upgraded neck pick up too, and damn it sounds amazing, wow great video thanks for sharing with us all, Peace !
Isso é uma obra prima... Tem o poder absurdo de envolver numa atmosfera maravilhosa... de bons tempos do passado, de manter o frescos e de projetar o futuro. Não há palavras pra definir o quão inspirador é
I've seen hundreds, if not a thousand, live shows. Seen Dino, Jr 3 times. Easily the 3 loudest shows I've EVER been to. These guys have the 11 knob, and they are not afraid to use it.
Where is Mr Jazzmaster? Has he been abandoned? Mascis has learned to use his voice sparingly, that way the vocalist can work into old age. Very clever.
His vocals are actually much better than in a 1993 video I’ve always loved his singing but sounded better on the chorus in this than he did the album version he’s cool to see a band playing this long stil tighten up
J Mascis is a national treasure. A truly under appreciated genius!
they have been getting some long deserved praise thanks to one of the greatest comebacks in music history
He is NOT under appreciated... write a decent comment dickhead instead of the cry for likes "underrated" comment
Yes he is...but c'mon...Lou Barlow as you bassist. I think "In A Jar" was the first bass line I bothered to learn.
great taste in amplifiers too :)

wear earplugs and it'll actually sound clearer.. and you won't be losing hearing at shows

Lou Barlow is such a great bass player and a great musician in general.
they're just better with Lou!
Lou putting his own unique touch on the bass
It’s what he does...it’s why he’s great
He’s the bassist and rhythm guitarist all in one
@@MrBigSkizz just like lemmy
I was there and my god the 30 year wait to see them was more than worth it! Especially since Lou and Murph were there. Better than ever!
Dude greatest guitarist … love him … definitely deserves his own museum
Where You Been is such a killer album. ❤
J’s singing is really great on this. Well… everything is great on this. Dinosaur kicking everyone’s ass once again.

Being able to play those riffs and sing proves him to be a rhythmic genius
Always loved this tune...

danh5150 I’m drummer just like J was before he figured out he was a guitar god

I don't do D Jr. shows without loose fitting ear plugs anymore.

J Mascis is a national treasure - ‘bout time he got his due..
You made the same comment two months apart lol

And not a mosher to be seen 😢
I think I like grey beard J. better. Maybe cuz I look the same.
That is the most heinous fucking intro to a video
Ouch-that guitar tone hurts. Movin' on to something else now.
buh bye bruh
Not a great recording. But if you are not into J's tone, not sure you can be helped.
You’re irrelevant
Bye
Jose Villarreal that guys a loser
That's fucking horrible
Please seek help for your mental state
I always hated solos. I still think a lot of them are wanky and unneeded. Jay will always be my exception to that
